Whats this rafa vs fergie war of words between you two.lol

King, did you ever find out anything more from your friend about F1 2010 on PS3? I think he was talking nonsense, I have no idea where he got that March 26th date from. Does he work for codemasters or something?

I did ask him but could remember the website i think he was mugging me off.

Btw, it's going to be sunny in Magny-Cours this weekend, I thought it would be nice to see who was truly the King of France lol.

I haven't been able to practice yet, so i'm still unsure of what times would be good enough to win here, so I guess i'll just have to wait and see.

I just had 20laps and was getting between 1,12,5xx to 1,12,9xx and a outlap is faster it was 1,11,8xx. I don't know if thats good or not.

Ok guys , i havent been posting my race results for a reason, but now i feel i have to step up and say something. I did NOT cause the crash in turn 1, i waited at the start and counted to 3, then i took off , when i got to turn 1 the crash had already taken place , which is exactly why i sat on the starting line and let yall go, im not going to get caught up in yalls crashes, when i got to turn 1 all i saw was cars and car parts all over the track, i drove through turn 1 at maybe 40 mph, because i didnt want to hit any car parts that were laying all over the track, i didnt hit anyone during the race , but i did get hit from behind by (_____) , i think in turn 8, they knocked me off the track and didnt wait and it really pissed me off, but im not going to say who it was , they know who they are, yall can try and figure out who caused the crash at turn 1 if you want, but it wasnt ME, i told HEMI before the race what i was going to do , i had a plan for the race and it worked great except for the guy who knocked me off the track, i wasnt going to post my race recap , but Shaggy sent me a message asking about the crash , so i thought i should come and say what i needed to say,i did the same thing last week , i waited at the start and finnished second , this week i waited at the start and finnished third, i should have finnished second again , but i got knocked off track at turn 8, so you can take my name off the list of people who caused the crash at turn 1,( I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE CRASH AT TURN 1), Good win Shaggy , and good stratagy for my teamate with a second place finnish, i should have finnished second , but ill take third place. See yall at the next race.

It's nice to know that the forecast is sunny :D I hope that I am able to join y'all Sunday but only time will tell as I'm current on an Island off the coast of South Carolina 👍 The wife and I will be heading back home on Sunday but depending on when we leave and traffic I may not be there in time for the race 👎 I will give an update when I leave and I can call The Web Footed Wonder (ZERODUCK) if things change :sly: And this will be yet another race for me with no practice :ouch: but I am enjoying myself

Magny-Cours tonight! :D I haven't practiced in a few days but hopefully my times are what they need to be to get a decent result.

Btw, is there anyone who can fill in as my team mate for this race? The chances are that Rob will not be here as his PS3 has been screwing up lately and won't connect to the internet.

A bit of a mixed race for me really. Quali was okay, I was pleased with my 1:11.8, but Ben somehow pulled out a 1:11.1xx, which was insanely fast! I didn't really think I had much hope of winning then, unless by some crazy luck.
I got a good enough start, managed to keep my second position without any dramas into the hairpin. However, lap 2 was a different story :( I got a penalty, which really bugged me because I was so consistent in practice, and lost out big time. I rejoined just in front of Ginty, but he tried an overtaking move and punctured my tyre in the process and caused my car to spin out violently :S.
I was a little pissed off at this because once again I had to race for damage limitation as Ben was on top form. I thought Ginty was going to wait for me, but he didn't. It didn't matter too much because a couple of laps later I managed to get passed him and Hemi almost simultaneously. The only problem I had was when I finally caught up to King and PJ. I was losing about 1-2 seconds per lap behind PJ because I was trying desperately not to hit him because his car was literally everywhere. I finally got him at the last corner, that overtake alone cost me about 2-3 seconds because I was treading very slowly through the corner. In the process somehow I had overtaken King as well during the pit phase but screwed up my out lap and couldn't get the quickest lap.
My sights were now set on Duck. With only 6-7 laps remaining I had to push as hard as I could to get in front of him. I noticed that he had pitted earlier than me and so this was my chance. I pushed to the absolute limit on this lap, almost losing the car in the process 2-3 times lol. It paid off though because when I came out of the pits, I was right in front of Duck. Having seen that Shaggy had just completed his out lap, and could only manage a 1:11.1, I knew I had to go for it, but it was no easy task, especially with the pressure of keeping Duck behind me as well. Into the hairpin I was praying that he wouldn't come crashing into the back of me, and thankfully he didn't.
Admittedly, it wasn't my best out lap, in fact my best out lap was a 1:10.224, but a hundredth of a second was just enough to beat Ben's fastest lap and I managed to pick up 9 points, only losing 1 to Ben.
It was a good race and I enjoyed having to make my way back through, but knowing that I only finished 21 seconds behind Ben does dishearten be a little because without the accidents on lap 2 I could have had a much better race.

Congrats Ben on a good win and my compliments to Duck for a great battle in those last 2 laps.

What can I say but, great start, bad finish. Qualified 4th, got a quick start off the line, moved into 3rd by turn 1 and got to watch the Kak vs. Shaggy battle for first. I followed close behind them, keeping the leader's pace, until Kak made a mistake and I moved into 2nd :D. Fast Duck was close behind me, but I eventually left him behind. Then, after the first set of high speed S curves, while braking, I spun and ended up on the inside grass, duck passed me as I also got a 8 second penalty for it. Sometime later, Kakundoo was trying to pass me, and he spun me in the process, and didn't stop. King also passed me there, and now I had Hemi to deal with. He got the draft heading to the hairpin, and I let him outbrake himself and re-took the place on the inside. The next lap, at the very same place, after he got ahead of me, I was drafting him. I was right behind him, but too far for contact under braking. Well, he got rear ended by me, but with no contact. I thought he possibly had a rear wing failure and then I remembered "there are no mechanical failures online". So, I stopped for him later on, and because of that, King could leapfrog me while I pitted. Last lap came, and if I wasn't pissed enough already, I get a 18 second penalty for going a bit too much over the kerb in the first set of swooping S's, which allowed GINTY to pass, putting me in dead last. I was close enough to probably get another move at him later, but BAM, a 8 second penalty for doing the same at the 2nd swooping S's. So, after a spectacular start, I have ot seal with a dead last and a bunch of people cursing me for hitting them when I didn't see such a thing happen.:(

No video guys  for some odd reason my camera cut off after 11 minutes :odd: I think it might have happened when I started typing on the wrong keyboard while in chat :embarrassed: but now PJ will not be able to witness what we were seeing of him during the race which I believe caused most of the problems with people saying he hit them :indiff: Well, on to the race:
It was a cold and dreary day like most days in Great Britain...................wait a minute, this was France and it was sunny...........it's just my race was dreary  On Vacation all week I didn't get in any practice so I ran a quick 3 laps before the race to try and remember the line ;) did a 1:11.474 but could not remember how I did it :ouch: It was about half way through before I started getting into the 1:11's during the race and with only a 1:11.666 as my fast lap :banghead: I was starting to catch Kingmart1n and he got by PJ and I started falling back trying to figure out how to get around him :scared: PJ, you had good pace today and deserved a better finish 👍 your internet connection may be your problem 👎 I managed to get by PJ coming out of Estoril but I know he would have my slip stream so I tried to stay in the normal line as I could not see him but I could hear him :scared: We met at the hair pin........literally :( After that I was too far back to do anything but even though PJ didn't know he hit me I was glad to see him wait for me to re-spawn, it was the right thing to do. Good win Shaggy. I know y'all are disappointed in not having a video to watch so I pulled this one from the Bruce Mclaren Memorial championship archives :P at least we didn't have a start like this

I started this thinking i would be last so when i finished 4th i was over the moon. I got away cleanly and was behind duck then i got a 8second penalty and didn't see him again. I was going past people making mistakes and was up in 4th with kakundoo behind me after he passed HEMlata. I knew he would be to quick so took my pit stop so i didn't have to defend against him and lose time. I kept going and after pj and HEMlata pitted i was back up in 4th with HEMlata about 10 seconds plus back. I looked at the map when kakundoo came out the pits and see duck was right up behind him and was ready to catch them if they crashed into each other but it was not to be.

I'm so glad you didn't 1 stop HEMlata

OK, fun race. Qualifying was excellent, first lap was a 1:11.5, next a 1:11.4 then my final was a 1:11.1 and I was very happy that this was able to earn me pole position.

I got a great start and pulled away from Kakundoo who started 2nd and I thankfully took the first serious corner, Estoril, well enough to maintain my gap to him. Inevitably he got in my slipstream towards the end of the straight so I went defensive without sacrificing my speed too much coming out of the Adelaide hairpin. My first lap was a good one but Kakundoo was right with me and seemed to be right in my tow at the start of the 2nd lap all the way down to the hairpin. Again I went defensive taking the inside line and Jamie actually got in front of me, but he went too deep and had to go wide coming back onto the track and I slotted back in front of him, but he was still just on my tail - good racing 👍 I was constantly checking my mirrors at this stage and i'm very pleased I didn't bottle it when put under this much pressure

Then I can only say it was a relief when Jamie got a penalty at the Imola chicane (turns 12-13) and allowed me to start driving with my eyes looking forward instead of back. I noticed Jamie's yellow icon then stopped dead on the track and he was what looked to be plum last. Time to inflict maximum points damage :mischievous: or so I thought. It wasn't to be, as Jamie must then have had the drive of his life as he gradually made his way right back to 2nd past some very competitive racers. In particular Duck, Ginty and PJ had all been very quick in practice this week 👍

When I made my first stop, I came out just ahead of PJ who was yet to stop, and his car was literally all over the place. He was right in my tow, and to avoid a potential accident, I let him by and then drove extremely cautiously behind him, as his car would be on the grass one moment, then in the gravel, then back on the track the next moment without slowing down at all - the lag here was abominable 👎 So obviously I couldn't have used my first outlap as an attempt for fastest lap. Then on my second outlap I just got it all wrong at Estoril, going wide and onto the grass, so my PB lap in the end was just a regular one and I was resigned to losing out on fastest lap to someone, in the end unfortunately for me it was Jamie. So despite my pleasing performance (no spins or penalties EDIT: Just remembered, I got one penalty on the penultimate lap at the Imola chicane) I was only able to gain one point on him thanks to a sterling effort on his part to work his way back up to second - well done 👍

Here's the tables, as you can see Williams continue to bring themselves back into the constructors championship with Zeroduck possibly getting in that mix for 4th place in the drivers, though King looks to have consolidated that somewhat. Hemi seems to be a lonely 3rd. I edge out ever so slightly on Kakundoo, but it is clearly far from over with a maximum of 77 points still up for grabs.

On to Hockenheim, another track that I like. This was the first track I drove with manual gears and the G25 last season. So if it's dry, it'll be interesting to see how my lap times compared. I think i've improved by a couple of tenths, but mainly my consistency seems to be what i've improved mostly.

Anyway, here's me tables, please update Jamie thanks, and also if you could update the tables you keep with the poles and fastest laps etc.

PS. What is it about you taking the fastest lap from me at Magny Cours by thousandths of a second? :yuck: Also, im not entirely sure if I recorded your fastest lap correctly. Is 1:11.126 right? Do you know?

Thanks Shaggy :D I really did push myself to the limit to bring it back, I think I even surprised myself lol.
As for the fastest lap, I have no idea  maybe it's because I'm in a Renault :P

Ugh, I'm not looking forward to Hockenheim. This was another race where I did quite poorly last season. I think I came 4th and Shaggy came 1st, so maybe i'll spice it up lol. Unless I have a clean race here, I don't expect to do too well, I've got another couple of assignments due in at the end of the week, so i'll need to be focusing on them as well as trying to practice here.
As long as I gain a point or two on Ben, I'll be happy 👍

Oh and I believe it was a 1:11.108

Indeed, weather please Jamie?

In any case, here's a lap around Hockenheim courtesy of our very own, ZERODUCK :sly:

Remember who won Hockenheim in 2006? Schumacher. Remember who drives the Ferrari? Me:D. I'm not in love with Hockenheim, but it's ok. My laptimes are in the gutters here though.

Did a bit of practice in the rain at Hockenheim. It's a real pity that the host can't select which driver aids are allowed. It's a genuine challenge when the TC is only set to 1, which I needless to say won't be using if it's wet because it slows me down.

I hate the super fast turn 1 here, take it too much, you cut it and get a penalty or the kerb deals with you, don't take it enough, and you take runoff and get a penalty, take it too slow and your laptime is slow. Everywhere else is ok.

I'm so sorry for not being here to tell you the weather guys, I've been caught up with so much College work this week :(

The weather will be light rain. And Shaggy, your idea about TC is really good. I would love to see how the race would turn out if everyone had their traction control set to 1, but there's no real way to enforce it unfortunately.

Can we really trust everyone to set their TCs to 1 just for this one race to see how it turns out? Personally, I think it would truly test our driving abilities.

It ain't going to happen trying to slow us down on a track you don't really like .lol

What? I'm not trying to slow people down on a track I don't like. It's true, I've never been great at Hockenheim, but that's not the reason at all. I just think it would be a lot more interesting.

If you don't want to do it here because you think you might have a chance, then let's do it at another track. I just want to spice things up before the season comes to a close.

Can we make it heavy rain, to make it even more fun and challenging and even more grid jumbling? Set TCS to whatever you want, but make sure your crash debris dont get in my way.:D

Ahh why the hell not. Heavy rain it is.

But I stick with what Ben said. These races would be a lot more interesting if we all stopped relying on TC. The grid would jumble around and for the final part of the season, that would be really interesting.

I don't know Jamie. I was just grumbling about the fact that the host can't select which driver aids are permitted. In Supercar Challenge the host can select which ones are permitted and to which level they are allowed, and it works brilliantly. If you turn off all the aids it deters idiot racers usually and encourages more like minded drivers to join. However, I wasn't neccessarily suggesting it to be done for our championship. I just don't believe that everyone can be 100% trusted to never turn their TC up to 2 or 3, and for all the honest ones there would always be a nagging doubt that someone who's going faster than them is cheating with the TC settings. It's entirely the fault of the game and it really limits the scope of what the online racing could be. Imagine we could switch driver aids off (TC set to one, stability control off, this would really sort out the men from the boys) and the servers were lag free - it'd be absolutely fantastic 👍 Hopefully Codemasters will succeed where Studio Liverpool have failed in 2010.

I would love that. In fact, if there is a point in the Championship where it becomes impossible for me to win the title, then i'll just turn all driver aids off. Likewise if I win the title with a race or races to go.
