Turning off TCS isn't a huge deal unless you turn off Stability Control as well, then you're screwed. No TCS may be a big disadvantage for the sixaxis users who have worse throttle control than us wheel users. I'll give it a try soon though and see how it feels.

Good point PJ.

I just thought. At least i'm retaining my title as best Pad racer, by a long margin as well :D. Although my hopes of winning the driver's title are slowly fading away unless I find some way of gaining 4-5 tenths of a second per lap on each track so that I can beat Shaggy....as well as regaining my consistency that I had earlier in the season and not get caught up in any accidents that result in me having to fight my way back through the field for a decent points finish.

And I have to prove that my new found front running pace doesn't just exist at Mangy, but will take me to new heights in the championship, and soon as the First driver :D. Just gotta outscore Crooky here and i'm up to 7th in the driver standings, if I can pick up another 3 points here. Look out for me front runners, i'm gonna be all over the place :D:lol:

Trying to pull a Force India eh? Tbh this Championship has been a lot like the 2009 season in many ways.
I make a great start to the season, but then the middle part goes terrible.
Shaggy makes a good start to the season, makes some errors but starts to fight back.
A previous Champion has a poor start to the season but then starts to show his true pace by getting back on the podium.
A slow paced team/driver starts to show their true potential by moving up in the points table.

I'm still pissed at the almost 2nd place at Magny, this game is awfully unfair in issuing penalties. A 18 seconder was given to me for going a bit over the rumbles at Magny, and a 8 seconder for rolling backwards onto the inside of the hairpin after the first S chichane. If a driver spins another drver, isn't he supposed to stop for him? That would be the fairest thing to do if you ask me. Anyways, on to Hockenheim. Light Rain feels like just dry conditions with more understeer, and I hate understeer so much. Heavy Rain now, you actually feeel the lack of grip compared to the dry conditions. And I just love the spray clouds :D.

I agree, the penalties are extremely unfair in this game but there is nothing we can do about that.
As for the spinning of a driver. It's a very complicated issue with you PJ. Your lag is absolutely terrible that it's impossible to predict where you actually are and therefore making you almost impossible to overtake.
If this is about the incident with me then I have to say that I wasted about 3-4 seconds going through those last two corners to make sure even if I did hit you that it would be minimal. There was nothing I could do.

You could have checked the map and probably noticed that my dot stopped moving, or you could have looked back after you passed me. But i'm not going to complain like a little girl, that happened already, and now were moving on. Please look back next time 👍 I know you're in a very heated title battle, but fairness is fairness.

I don't really like how you say light rain kakundoo and pj says heavy and you say yeah i remember asking for the race to move to a different day and you IGNORED me. Just my view though

Lol, that's because we haven't had a heavy rain race since Sepang and I was on the borderline anyway. It doesn't really matter either way, I haven't done much practice, i'm not very good here, I don't expect a great result.

It don't really bother me i just like this track. I am up for the challenge though i think.lol

Hockenheim = I love it but I have never raced it in the rain :indiff: I will say that I expect a good result no mater what the weather is :sly: as far a drive assists, I use some TCS and ABS but as defense for myself I adjust them to help me control the car the way I want and it varies per track. Each person has their own driving style and to turn off all assists I would have to change my style for this game. I love a 4 wheel drift or having the car set up neutral so I can control how to get the car to slide. Problem is you have no control on the set up online because it's all generic. I agree with Shaggy that if the host had the ability to control everything about the race (assists, weather, etc...) it would be for better racing. I hope that Polyphony Digital has been keeping up with what other games have done with their online racing :D

I had a practice and its hard but enjoyed it non the less my times was ok consistent though. HEMlata its one of ginty favourite track to but just raced with him and he was bad i think 5-6 second off my pace its so hard at first.

I ran a 20 lapper last night and got my times down in the 1:22's :sly: I don't know how that is in comparison to everybody but I would assume that I need to pick up the pace a bit ;) The biggest problem is staying on the track  I had 2 offs and ended up finishing P3 with the settings of AI-hard and grid-random :D I started P7 and tried to overtake without driving through the AI cars 👍 The Schumacher brothers put a whuppin' on me though :yuck: I was hoping I would catch some of y'all on but just missed by 30 imnutes or so :grumpy: I will be on again tonight so drop me a time frame of when y'all might be on :)

Sorry mate, I'm still at work. Got to remember that I'm 5 hours behind y'all so when I get home it would be around 10pm your time :yuck:

I don't think we'll really know what the front running pace is until Shaggy takes pole AGAIN! He's always so secretive about his times lol, it'll be interesting to see how my times compare to his as I'm not too good at this track.

Well , here it is raceday and i still dont see it posted what the wheather is going to be, would be nice if we knew before race day what the wheather was going to be,

Ok everyone, just a warning for the race - cold tyres on the first lap will mean longer braking distances. Please bear this in mind. Also, I think turn one is a very dodgy place to try an overtake. This should only be done at the start if you are already past the car before you get to the corner. Turn 2, and especially the hairpin are the real overtaking spots, and thus you're better saving your speed for these moments. Please remember to check the map for any cars you may have punted by accident. I can see this being a messy first lap :nervous:

Well guys, my heart just ain't in it anymore :indiff: To me this ain't racing when you get wrecked and then argue the next 2 to 3 hours after the race about who's fault it is 👎 Y'all have fun the rest of the championship but I will no longer be a part of it

Man, can't you reconsider? Jamie says he slowed up on a straight to let you by but you disconnected, at least I think that's what the jist of it is.

C'mon budday, don't let it end like that :guilty: :indiff:

All that happened was I thought I nudged him and so when it came to the straight after the next corner I slowed down to let him by but he must have gone on to the grass or something because he spun it, I drove passed and then he quit :(

I'm really sorry if this is the reason you have quit Hemi, please don't leave over this, i'll actually feel really bad about it for ages :guilty:

So,you're done for the rest of the season? How can you just abandon your team, who is in the WCC battle? In racing there are incidents and arguments, but I don't see anyone pulling out because of it. If you are leaving, I bid you farewell.

Where were you by the way? Scared of the rain? ;)

I do find it a little bit ironic that you're leaving because you hate the arguments that go on for hours, and now that you're leaving, it's caused a situation that could do on for even longer lol.

But please don't go Hemi, we all love you :D and you provide us with video footage!

Not much to say qualified 3rd then got a nudge by my team mate at T1 and went wide, went back on the track thinking everyone had passed and 2 second later bang duck hit me. He waited for me and then i got past ginty after he got a penalty and was catching kakundoo and HEMlata. HEMlata then quit the game just after i saw his smashed car on the side of the track. I wasn't going to catch kakundoo when he was in clean air so settled for 3th.

Bit of a boring race tonight.

Qualified 2nd, didn't expect to get pole. Got a clean start, I knew I was quicker than Ginty who was in 3rd at the time, but judging by Shaggy's pole lap, I wasn't anywhere near his pace. My quali lap was the best lap i'd done to date.
A couple of laps in I turned in to much on one of the corners and got a penalty. Luckily I wasn't passed by many people and knew I was quicker than them anyway. A few laps later I found Ginty had spun on the penultimate corner and since I only a had like a second to react, I ploughed into the side of his car, destroying my front wing and spinning me into the wall. Ginty was a gentleman and let me through though, thank you :) After this, I tried to catch Hemi.
It was more difficult than I thought because for some reason I had really bad understeer in the car! This hadn't ever happened during practice and pretty much ruined my race pace.
A few laps later I came into the pits literally just behind Hemi, but couldn't leap frog him in the pits, which ruined my out lap. I think it was the lap after this that the same corner I got the penalty on at the start of the race, I thought Hemi went wide so I got the inside line and overtook him. He had gone really wide and so I thought I might have nudged him, so I slowed down on the straight but as he came passed he spun his car so I drove passed him. After this he quit which got me worried :nervous:
After this little incident I just carried on, there was nothing I could do, Ben was too far in front and I didn't have the pace to catch him. The only joy I had was after my second pit stop, where the understeer in my car had finally stopped! But alas it was far too late with only 8 laps to go.

Good win Ben, you've pulled out one hell of a lead :(
