400PP World Compact Car Race

For the last race, try a Vauxhall VX220 Turbo '00, 122HP and 854kg will make the 400PP, easy win :)

Won them all except Eifel. Tried every car possible and drove as perfect as possible. 3rd is the best I can do so I'm giving up on this one. I'll trade someone for a 0 ticket later. The first 2 cars always stay over 1/2 a lap ahead so it's obviously not doable and not worth the anger and frustration.

Try using the VW Lupo race car with a mid range turbo and tweak the engine limiter to fit the PP limit.
That worked for me. (After about 3 attempts)

The BMW was my car of choice at first since I easily won the first 4 races with it but hasn't done better than 4th place no matter what I do. What's your setup?

Here's what I used. I won't call it a "tune" because it's just slightly changed from standard to give it a bit more turn-in and tail-out round the corners, and I am no tuner!

Turn off all driving assists apart from ABS=1, because TC, ASM, etc will kill the turning.

I re-ran all the races again tonight using this setup and as a guide, you can expect to win the races very comfortably by at least this much time (if not more) with Mini as the "rabbit":

Autumn Ring: +15s
Rome: +35s
Laguna Seca: +35s
Nurburgring: +15s (You are 1st place easy before Karussel)
Eifel Kart: +10s

Some cars are VERY unlikely machines to use. But if you can make them work in this Seasonal, that's all that matters. Having so many cars in a game is an advantage because it can challenge you to find something other than the usual suspects to try to win with. I think someone mentioned using a Prowler. I had no idea that car's length was south of 4200mm.

Any other unusual suspects you used to win at least one race in this Seasonal?

I used the Audi TTS '09 for the first four races and won without too much difficulty but ended up in third place 15 seconds back on Eiffel against the Mini. I switched to the Z4 and added engine and exhaust parts to get to 399 PP then upgraded the drivetrain parts and tried again. Peugeot was the rabbit this time and I won by about 10 seconds.

Just finished up the last of the races. Eifel took 2 tries (took lead on last lap, last turn), the rest were pretty easy even with some mistakes.

I did them all in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (a few mods, 208hp 850kg or so) at 367pp and ABS 1 only.

It's a really fun little car to drive. You can do some huge 4 wheel drifts and keep it together.

I'm using the Toyota 2000GT and its working great. It's tuned to 400pp (298bhp) all I changed for suspension was the camber. (1.4/1.8) to give it a bit stiffer steering. It handles great. So far, gotten gold on Rome Circuit with a lead of 20 seconds. I haven't tried many other tracks with it, but the nephews have and they've gotten top 6. And they're not exactly the best drivers. :D

roflcopter: Thanks for the advice. It's a great setup. I managed to catch up to him on the very last hairpin on lap 5 but he always pulls away like a rocket so I'm just behind him by a second at the finish line. Who would have thought that a Civic had so much more get up and go than a BMW? I suppose with some more practice I can win but my patience is reaching it's limit for today. I'll try again later. lol

gave up on the Eiffel race. Then read about the Z4. Tuned it a bit and came in first, 4 seconds ahead :)

Could not win with the Mini 07 as rabbit. 2nd try, the 207GTI was in front, which was much slower.

The non-turbo version fits nicely under the PP restrictions. I've also run all the races in the COROLLA LEVIN GT-APEX (AE86) '83. At 370PP, this thing punts out over 210BHP and weights 1000kg, great little car that seems to have benefited from the 2.10 update...

Guys I need help on the last race on Eifel because My Godly Delta can't beat the rabbit!!!

I'll try the 2000GT if I find one.

My first ever post. I've found the stock detuned Ford RS200 '84 a good car for this series.

Additionally, the Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO CN.AR750106 '65 was fun.

Try dropping the top speed of the gearbox a little bit if you need to for Eifel, that setting is a universal for all 5 races. You should be making up the time/distance through the corners more than the straights.

It's like watching an old friend slip away under the influence of dope, knowing that he'll just fade away and never be himself again. What a terrible shame, such a waste.
An update should be an improvement, not a downgrade. Why didn't they just release the update as a new version of the game? GT5 Epilogue?

And what bloody fool is running the show now anyway? I quote (from the selection screen)

This is an expert level race event using compact cars...

Then, if you 'cursor over' the SRF selection bar in the ingame options:

Toggle ON/OFF the function for beginners that stops skidding by increasing...

That is an insult to my intelligence (or have I missed something? Please enlighten me if I am out on a limb).

roflcoptor: I kept getting second thanks to the last hairpin and straightaway so just for fun I increased my top speed instead of lowering it like I had been doing with all my other attempts/cars (thought for sure I'd lose) and boom I won first try. I actually passed him before the last hairpin. Go figure. I was pretty shocked. lol.

Lol, as long as it worked, it's all good. 👍

Nope, you've pretty much summed things up quite nicely.
