400PP World Compact Car Race

Used a 1970 Mitsubishi Galant GTO. Won Eifel a few corners before last after delibarately crashing a lupo and a micra off course, slowing myself down for giggles. For Nurburg 24hr, I got the car down to about 335pp ish and overtook just before the main straight. Oh, and SRF forced on? Just why?

I'd recommend it, I still had about 160bhp at 335pp. The power band was hopeless, though.

EDIT: My mistake, 325pp. 160BHP, and 1,072kg. Should be noted that I did cut corners. Though I went off a few times before I overtook the leading Mini.

Oh, and another recommendation. Due to PD's recent... "re-adjustment", let's say, of the PP ratings, Front engine, rear wheel drive is the way to go. 4WD's and FWD's are not a good idea. (just in case anyone didn't already know)

Whats wrong w/ FF?

Did it all except Efiel with the 76 gti! it was pretty fun actually. But I just got a wheel and have really been trying to get the hang of it. And the GTI is easy to handle.

Nothing wrong with FF cars. Its just that after the 2.10 patch there are several FRs that will totally demolish them at the lower PP levels they were best at.:(

I busted out my old fave the Motul Civic for this one today, finished painfully close only 1.5 seconds back in third around the 24hr Ring. Fun drive though. Especially since its my first day out with my G27 wheel.

Just got the Toyota 2000GT 67 down to 330pp on the Nurbie - no great shakes, but with the grid:

206 S16 99
147 2.0 Twin Spark
Storia X4
106 S16
Civic 1500 3 door 83
New Beetle
Civic 1500 3 door CX 79
ist 1.5s 02
Tigra
Demio GL-X
Colt 02

I was 29 secs ahead of 2nd place. I had overtaken 1st place in the middle of Kesselchen way before the Karrusel. This grid has offered the best PP-lowering opportunities so far.
This was with a lap time of 11.10.xxx mins. 1.7mil Cr.

Down to 325pp - overtook 1st place on the run up to the Karrusel. 1.8mil Cr. Like with previous seasonal, when the PP gets lower and lower, it becomes more about taking corners flat or with a small lift - the last 2 corners before Dottingerhohe - the back straight were taken with the tiniest of lifts off the gas. No braking required.👍

Toyota 2000GT '67 Tune
148bhp
1120kg
325pp
The Oil Light is ON!

Engine Stage 3
Sports ECU
Limiter 56.9% (this will vary depending on the state of your oil & engine)
Intake - fully modded
Exhaust - fully modded
Turbo - nothing (can't remember if you can actually install turbos on this car)
Tranny - fully modded set to max speed 180mph (this can be much lower as I dont need to overtake on the back straight)
Drivetrain - fully modded

Suspension:
Height -25/-16
Spring 11.4/10.2
ext 3/3
comp 3/3
ARB 5/5

camber 1/1
toe -0.20/0.20
Brake 7/5
There's room for improvement with this tune but it does the job for me:tup:
It may have been someone else's tune from the distant past that I have tweaked - if it is: thanks and credit to you:)

Edit: down to 315 pp with 5 secs to spare. I was up against a 207 that was holding back 2 Minis. 1.9mil Cr.

Not much of a challenge! Monstered the first four aces in a Mini Cooper 07 but needed the Toyoa 2000 GT for the Eifle race

I finished Eifel in this morning using BMW M Coupe ' 98 , and the reward was a Mazda Eunos Roadster V-Special Type II (NA) '93 .

Those of you using the GSXR/4, what have you done to it to get it to be elligible?

I've had to add 200kg of ballast and if I reduce the power to 50% that only gives me 84BHP yet I'm still at 354PP. Is that going to be enough to win these races? Yeh I know I can increase the power so I'm close to 400PP but I'm thinking of the adjustment bonus!

Thank you. Finally someone understands where I'm coming from. I don't have a problem with people using aids, just don't make me use them if I don't want to.

Exactely, Nothing wrong driving the way anyone prefer, just leave the aids optional, so people can choose what is best for them. I would really like PD to explain what they are trying to acheive by setting a mandatory SRF. the first time could have been a mistake, be a second time means, to me, that they might have a plan. :dunce:

Yea, they are turning it from "The Real Driving Simulator" to "The Real Arcade Racer".

I wonder if there is something wrong with the new seasonals that require SRF as a solution to make them workable for everyone; some bug in the coding - as an example? I've got to say, it's a bit odd. We'll see what the next seasonals hold in store.

Who knows. With the recent update and things like this, I'm about done with this game anyway. Apart from taking part in the WRS time trials, I don't think I'll be putting much time into this game anymore. Between losing my main savegame due to the "looping" problem because of their update, the update itself, (the new PP levels are now crap as far as I'm concerned) SRF being forced on, along with a few other things have just made this game unenjoyable for me anymore. Really think the game has ran its course for me and time to move on. It was fun while it lasted but as they say, all good things must come to an end.

As "Dandy" Don Meredeth used to sing at the end of Monday Night Football games, "Turn out the lights, the party's over"

This has proved to be a tough one so far. Even with the SRF forced on, which I never use normally. Cant decide what car to use. Have used the Swift Sport, Mini S 07, Peugeot Rally thing etc. Think will give the BMW Z4 a try. Any ideas? I am still trying to crack the Autumn Ring. Doing high 46's and losing first place by 3-4 seconds. Looks like will have to do low 46's.

I used Suzuki GSXR/4 for the first 3 races (AutumnRing, Rome, LagunaSeca), then resorted to the Mini S 07 for the other 2 (Nurburgring and EifelKart) as the Suzi couldn't cut it on those.

For some reason EifelKart was more challenging than it usually is, it took me half a dozen attempts along with some ethically-questionable tactics...!

You should manage it with the BMW Z4. I think I was doing 45 second laps, maybe faster. I had upgraded it to 400PP though, and was double lapping a few of the other cars.

What di you end up with as a prize?
Mine was a Suzuki Cervo if I remember correctly.
Waste of time after getting used to the double bonuses over christmas!!!

Believe it or not I've received Nissan Firelady 2000 (SR311) '68

Had another shot with the Isuzu Bellett, it was the 2nd car pack, with the 207 as leader at the start, followed by the 206.

298pp
2,274,800cr
i think laptime was 11:14.xxx

I will try other cars as i think its limit with this one

Nice one Mike!👍
I'll have to give that one a go.
That particular grid is really slow - great for lowering the pp!!

It is a "fun seasonal". Renault 5 Turbo (stock) and Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 (power limiter) for Eiffel.
Pretty easy or not :)

Thx :) yes, the 3rd grid with the civic SiR '95 do the job as well.

I might give these two a try for the fun of it .

It still seems funny i had an easy time with a Autobianchi :sly:

I also triedt he Alfa Romeo Giulia at 298pp, i started with 297pp but i think it gained one horsepower and finished with 298pp...

@Mike you might try the Nissan Bluebird 1600 Deluxe (510) '69.
I won the first 3 races at 310PP with it and beat a slow lineup on the ring at 320PP with a 11:14.xxx. Considering your a good 20+ seconds faster than me on the Nord you should be able to reduce PP quite a bit.

Will give it a try, srf might not let me gain such time though, currently ttying the 2000gt at 295pp, had to stop for the hockey game but at the 1st intermission i will try, did half a lap and it seem fast!

The 2000GT has a very good top speed especially considering it's weight.
Biggest issue with the Bluebird is that it has the profile of a barn door and getting it above 120mph without a draft is nearly impossible.:( Has pretty good acceleration though.
