It's not supposed to be listed in the first post. Toscana Tuesdays (That's Today BTW), has it's own thread in this very section. Great room, mostly 450, but Graham does a great job keeping the excitement.

I'll be swapping between the JDM and Graham's room...assuming its up and running

On lesser tires, most cars lose their competitive edge and it is really up to the driver so it doesn't surprise me that you didn't notice it being super fast with comfort soft tires...because it probably can't put the power down as efficiently.

I really don't care if people use it and finish middle of the pack. I just don't want someone winning by 10 seconds with the same NSX the entire night. If you win by that much, I just ask that you switch things up with a different car. The best races are the closest races.

I think most people have 2-3 cars to use, but my thought is...If I dont win with it...run it again. Until the well is dry, I'm returning for more water :D

Double post fail

Works for me. I have no idea what I'm going to run. My 97 MR2 was set up for CS tires but if it behaves well on SS tires I might use that.

I have found myself changing between every race.

Mind you, I come nowhere close to winning any of them. I've just built out so many cars now. I want to test them all at least once, but... several of them are just fun to drive. They are really a blast. I should just stick to the fastest one I have. So far, that is an Integra. It isn't the most fun, but it is fun.

On a slight tangent (they are connected in my head), the problem with the room night before last, anyone doing poorly (hanging very far back with me) would quit to the lobby, or just park on the side of the track and honk their horn. Wha-? I just don't understand quitting.

Then again, it could be because I'm a giant loser, and as such, have never had the chance to understand winning.

Garris, are you referring to those custom tracks at Mount Aso? I quit to the side of the track because the tracks were not fun (sorry leadbedr). And on the occasions when I do quit, it is when I am dead last and not battling anybody and I would rather watch the race instead.

Edit - I didn't honk my horn though - although I did think that was funny.

Nobody has a spare Mercury Cougar do they? I need one to do sone testing with, I thought I had one, but turns out I was wrong.

I'll check my UCD, if not, you can have mine. Dup it or whatever and send it back when you're done...or keep it LOL.

XD I have no idea on how to Dup it, I'll send it back no problem. I keep checking my UCD hoping.

I would actually honk back as I passed that crowd. I didn't hear any horns, though. That track was completely rubbish though.

The first Mt. Aso track wasn't so bad. I don't remember who, but I was trying to catch up with someone that was faster than me. He waited to late in the hairpin and hit the fence. I got past him, knowing he could catch up and overtake me in another lap or so. He quit to lobby instead. :(

I think I'll join you guys tonight. This is my first time in a tuner room so I don't have a complete arsenal of cars to throw around, I'll just bring my 91 NSX and see where I can go.

I had fun! Even though I was modding/tuning my cars as I went and spent most of my time sucking the air out of the room and finishing last. Eh, I'll get my crap together and have some good cars prepared for the next time around!

Good times. There were some pubbers that snuck in but for the most part they behaved. I was ready to kick one guy after Tsukuba but he left before the end of the race. He kept trying to push me off the track in his green Civic. There must be a bunch of rooms out there where the Civic is fast...this ain't one of them. Several pubbers complained about the tires and I just laughed.

Tsukuba - I tried out the Supra but I had to apply 15% power reduction. I exited to the pits to make sure everyone was in the right car and of course got dumped to the back of the starting grid. It was too slow on the straights but without any suspension tuning was very quick through the turns. Persistence paid off and after a few laps I started getting around cars.

Suzuka - I got disconnected from the room so I rejoined and didn't get a qualifying lap in. That put me in the middle of the pack. I ditched the Supra in favor of the 97 MR2 which had better straight line speed. I worked my way through the lap 1 carnage and made it to about 4th position. I spent the rest of the race battling and finally getting 2nd while Sl3ight was no where to be found. I looked at the lap times after and I wouldn't have caught him anyway.

Fuji - My MR2 has a very sloppy suspension. I increased the spring rates a little but I just didn't have the precision to keep up with the leaders. I had some great battles for 3rd position though.

Tokyo - The leader took off and I was left battling for 2nd again.

Video from Suzuka. I was looking forward to picking people off one by one, but no one could stay on the track and tons of people were cutting corners and getting penalties. AOK and I had a good battle but he tried to pass on the outside of those sharp turns. I gave him as much room as I could but we still made contact. Not exactly a good place to attempt a pass but he didn't have the straight line speed to take me anywhere else (most likely due to the addition of the rear wing).

Missed last night as I got home too late. Does it look like JDM night will be a permanent fixture like Muscle Car Mondays and Nurburgring Wednesdays?

BTW, this is why I tend to boot pubbers before the race starts. This guy is a textbook bad driver and I'm sorry everyone had to deal with him at Tsukuba last night.

Bad driving 101

Amazing techniques  He can even bump draft in corners!:sly:
lol at 1:45 he didn't slow down and tried to used the supra as a brake...but failed.
I don't know what they found enjoyable doing this...

Spent a few hours @ Toscana Tuesday with Graham, Twichie, Bowtie and 4-5 others, so I'm hoping this is a semi-fixture (just not on Tuesday)
I did enter lounge and watch the Tokyo race. I saw Mr2s, NSX's and MRS's everywhere though and realizing I only made a 22B and Legacy B4..I quickly left :D

That was actually me in the Supra. When he drove through me on the straight that was strike 1. When I saw the NSX go flying off the track in front of him that was strike 2. Then he started pushing me off the track after the first hairpin. That was strike 3. I had to push back because he would've put me in the grass on the right side. When he finally went around me, I gently nudged him in the door panel to see how he liked it. Evidently, he didn't like it very much because he went straight for the punt on the next turn as you pointed out. Everything after that was him crying to momma because he found a room where people were actually fast drivers.

same with me, got 3 cars ready but was invited to watch the NBA Finals Game 1 last night.

This wasn't just controller bad driving...it was blatant disregard for brake zones and other cars on the track.

Yeah, it seems as though the MR cars dominate. My Supra felt good, but it just didn't have the straight line speed. I had a WRX from a previous night but didn't bother to switch to it.

i feel sorry for that red NSX! shame on that guy! :grumpy:

That was me in the red NSX that got punted. If you watch closely in the beginning, after the first turn he hits me in corner of my rear bumper and sent me fishtailing onto the straight. I left the room after that race and built a 1996 Evo for the next race with hopes taking that idiot out if he tried that crap again, but he was gone when I got back. I was afraid to bring the NSX back out for the rest of the night seeing how it got knocked around so easily.
