What the starting PP for the Zonda that folks detune to make the 450s?
Not with lag issues that people get. It really sucks either suffering for 15 laps, or waiting for the next race.Im all for longer races. It gives rise to more epic battles for position, and could make pitting a necessary consideration.
Edit: I guess I just said the same thing as chuyler. Anyways, I would be up for 10-15 laps per race
I don't mind endurance races, I love a good 6-8 lap sprint. It really separates the pack into small dog packs going hard. I would do some 20 lappers, but I don't want too do 20 laps every single race. One or two a night wouldn't bother me a bit though.
shorter free run times, maybe 5 mins max of free run between races, just an opinion
edit: love the idea of 15 to 20 lappers and also 6-8 heat,
i always thought more than 5 minutes was too much for "qualifying".
i wanna race.
your cars should be tuned already. at most you may need slight changes, or transmission changes, which you can figure out in one lap. so then, it is up to you to decide weather to finish a qualifying lap or go tune and not qualify.
I still have fun starting at the back when the grid is messed up. I know it is supposed to save your position but whenver i drop to the pits to check cars it puts me at the back. However, even with a perfect race in a fast car i never catxh the leaders when i start very far back. Not qualifying makes it nearly impossible to do anything useful in the race. I think it's just a case of me taking it a lot more seriously than most if you guys. I'll still race and won't complain if we don't get as much practice time. I just get a lot of enjoyment out of tuning and running hot laps.
I like to run multiple cars per night, and don't have time to tune them beforehand, so 5 minutes between races for me is nowhere near enough.
Just checked the OP and the PP for tonight states 450. I thought we were changing to 400. Can you clarify? I'm just shortlisting my cars at the moment to get ready to tune.
