I suggest if drivers are going to join us nightly, they should invest in a mic. I use my cell phone blue-tooth headset. They aren't very expensive and there is an article posted somewhere on how to configure it so the driver audio goes to the headset while the game audio still goes to your speakers. That's how I have things setup...but if you use that approach, don't turn the volume up too much or we'll get cross-talk.
As for keeping quiet until after the race. I simply don't think that is going to happen. I know there are silent drivers out there that cannot defend themselves on the spot so give people the benefit of the doubt. Also remember, if you tap someone during a pass, give up your position and try again for a clean pass. Giving up your position or waiting for the off-track driver to get back on the track speaks loudly whether you have a mic or not. Chances are you'll get another chance to pass before the race is over.
Now on to that green lego car...I don't want to hear any bitching about penalties from you Grenade. I watched the replay and all of your penalties are well justified 4-wheels off the track. My suggestion...spend more time tuning the car for better handling and braking and less time on gearing.
I've got some videos uploading now of GV-E Reverse and Daytona RC. I'm not sure what caused the massive pileup in the bus stop in the first lap but from my POV lots of people completely missed the brake zone while others went off track. This all falls under learning to follow. Don't ever assume the driver in front knows when to brake. Use your own visual cues.
Overall last night looked pretty clean to me. I had a run-in with a CR-Z at Daytona but I think he was a pubber. He tried to push me off the embankment. Might have been lag...or might have been him not looking for me in his rearview after going by. In any case, he managed to pit maneuver himself. It'll be in the video. Nordschleife was boring as hell, probably because I challenged myself too much by picking a tail happy car that got real loose once the tires warmed up. I spent most of the 4 laps countersteering and ended up 15 seconds off pace every lap. If people vote to do it again...boost will be turned on.
