Good tune, Have gone a few rounds, But the beer not helps:lol: not sharp enough. But it feels good in the corners .... Couple 1.08.200 rounds, Try it again tomorrow. looks like I'm in two days got a 1:07.

''Must admit, in the end I found it faster without the toe adjustments - would accelerate mid-turn without losing the back end.''

What is your setup?

Thanks for the tips dudes !👍👍

in my best lap (1.08.018) I did almost nothing wrong, only the first part was slower than normal. But the last part was really fast. Very fun TT 👍

I'm using your tune, with the aero and diff settings from Strachi........

I've tried many set up combinations, listed here and my own. Mixing them together and so on. But it seems most of the lost time comes from sliding too much. Driving too easy is slow and driving hard enough to slide excessively costs a ton of time. Finding the edge is where the speed is.

Watching the replay vids it seems like they have a set up that lets them brake WAYYYYYY later then I have to. If I use the same braking points I slide off the track every high speed corner.

That's what I'm going to work on today, being able to brake later. I think there is a full second there alone.

I've got 3 different tunes, and have been using each today - my lap times are pretty much identical whichever I use, think I've reached my limit!

The faster drivers, in addition to being able to brake later, seem to be able to take the turns much tighter too. There's obviously a technique for getting through the right hand bend after the tunnel too, as the aliens go through there a good 10 mph faster than I can.

I spent an hour today. Matched my personal best, exactly, go figure.

I need more on power steering and a way to brake later. Couldn't sort it out no matter what I tried.

My aero is 150/140

Camber is 0/3.0
Shocks 1/6 compression
And 9/2 extension
Springs 6.28/9.08

Pretty radical. Helped the speed in the dogleg and last right hander, as well as the right hander before the bridge.
Maybe tonight I'll try just working on the sliding.

Ok using the tuning prowess of @Kossie, @hall90, and @Strachi, I'm down to a 1.08.754. The second half of the course is where I lose a lot of my time especially the turn before the tunnel where the I scrub off a lot of speed compared to the top ghosts.

Overall really enjoying this one though, pretty fun track/car combo.

Improved to a 1:08.76x. Car feels great, but can't keep from over cooking it and sliding in at least two turns every lap.
I think my best lap would be about a 1:08.2xx with my current tune and ability of I get a clean entire lap.

Feeling like I spending too much time at this point.

Bring on the new QM's...and FITT TUNES! :)

Think I've spent more than enough time on this too - put in an hour this morning, resulting in me knocking 0.08 seconds off my time! Moved me up a few places though to p134....

With a bit of luck, I'll finish both of the current seasonal second in the top 250 for the first time ever, which will do me fine. I used to be happy if I made the top 1000, but I'm aiming higher now!

What is youre time?

I hit a wall about a week ago with a 1:08.67 and whatever I do I can't seem to improve on it now. I've tried all the tunes, changing driving techniques, AS off, weak or strong and I always end up with 1:08.7. I've occasionally been a couple of tenths up on my ghost but always lost it again. I guess I've just about reached the limit of my ability.
Regarding the late braking thing, don't forget to take into account your TV latency. It's important to compare your replay with the replay of the driver you are trying to emulate and not try to copy their braking points in real time or you'll end up braking later than they are which will certainly lose you time. I find the biggest advantage the top drivers have is getting the power on earlier rather than braking later. If your TV has a game mode, use it. You can do a simple test - hit the brakes from 100mph at a clear marker then watch the replay and see where you actually hit the brakes. With a good TV in game mode it might only be a few feet later, but with a laggy TV it could be a couple of car lengths or more.

Thanks! I learned something today!

Same wall as me........

Excellent point SterlingMoose, hadn't thought about lag. I've had enough of this event, but it is great to consider those variables. Thanks.
