Managed to sneak in front of Nowcontrol (Muira) with Roweer1's tune. Wasn't able to keep up on the straights previously.
Now on 1:05.969 for #397. Of course when Nowcontrol fires up his Suzy I expect the lead will change back.

Forgot to thank Roweer1 for the tune, thanks. As it was I missed the weight given (long story) and was using 155kg I think, anyway will try the full tune later.

Tried quite a few laps with a Lotus Carlton but just couldn't make it fast :dopey:. Sure I could tame the back end but it becomes an understeering brick. I felt I got reasonable balance but could only get within .4 of gold. Might try it without weight reduction and more power.

Gave up and went for a Lotus Esprit Sport 350 that was gathering dust. Got around 1:11.4 without much trying.

I wouldn't normally use an extreme ride-height exploit tune, but curiosity may well get the better of me . Decent time there.

Awesome to hear there is a great variety of cars working for this event Also heard the gt40 mkI is good for this one 1:07's or better possible
Using the Anniversary Edition GT40 MK1 we're at 1:08.08,, so close to breaking onto the .07's!! We just gotta keep trying 'caus we know the car has it. Problem is the old pfart hanging onto the wheel that's holding it away from an .07,, so we'll just keep on keep'n on til we get 'er there or the event date expires! We're using a combination of Praiano/Shaunm80 tunes with a few tweeks of my own. The car is a sweet ride!

It is an awesome car. Ford GT40 Mk I '66 you can give that one a spin. It might a tad tight as it's a racing tune not a TT tune but wont take much to make it a TT tune as it's got 200 kg of ballast moved forward a touch. Just move it back and stiffen the back end a bit to adjust for the added weight.

Thanks bud 👍👍, we're on our way to da shop to punch your set up onto that beast. Will get back to the message string and spread the word how we do and if we can get into the "Hollowed Halls" of the .07's!

Good luck may the tires be sticky.
Btw the rear spring adjustments are 0.01-0.03 stiffer per positive point adjusted on the ballast.

The @Ed_Night -setup i posted for the Suzuka-event in Juli, works nicely here as well -with a few adjustments, i got a 1:04.902 (DS3, ABS 1 -nothing else). This is it:

Oil change, Body Rigidity improvement

The gears could probably be better: It goes 249 km/h at the end of the straight, which is a couple of km's slower than the top guys.
Thanks a lot for sharing the setup! I improved by 5 tenths off the bat and now I'm struggling in 1:05.0. Should be able to get 1:04.8 if I put everything together.

That's quite allright Dalone. You needn't thank me too much anyway; Ed Night did the basic job ;). I'm just fiddling a bit with it to see if i can get an edge. Did so and set a new time of 1:04.829. I've edited the Setup-post with the changes.

Had another bash at it using Roweer1's adjusted tune but found I preferred the original. I did use his ballast, 181kg rather than the 155kg I had been using. I found that allowed me to be a tad faster in the straights (higher hp), in any case I have improved to 1:05.562 for pos#198.

Not sure what happened here but I decided to use Roweeer1's updated tune and it took a couple of hundreds off, 1:05.54.
However I found I couldn't change the downforce, it didn't even show up, greyed out. I thought that meant that I was using no DF which could account for always reaching 250km/h at the end of the straight and very loose around corners, which actually allowed a small improvement I felt.
Anyway tried another car (over 3,000 km) with the new tune (which only reaches 250hp with 1st stage weigh reduction and 186 ballast at -10) but it had the full Down Force (@20).
That worked, now on 1:05.351 for pos# 119.

Got me. I just looked at my cars and only two have wings, the one I was referring to doesn't, ha ha. Dumb guy, dumb guy.

Sunday night, I have just had a few runs with the car without the wing and I am doing about as well with it (1:05.4) as with the one which has a wing. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

I did a time of 1:05.634 and thanks mate for posting the tune and I use my own gearbox, and there is still room for improvement.

Edit: now 1:05.575

@Roweer1 you might want to try no body rigidity and rear toe angle at -0.02, improved by 1,5 tenths to 1:04.839 :)

Edit: Once again credits to Roweer, gained 1 km/h on the straight by changing final gear to 3.215, and managed to get a 1:04.752 in 28th place :D This is almost my limit unless I find something extraordinary.

Edit 2: While playing with weight distribution, turns out 182kg at -3 let me gain another tenth to be in 1:04.638!
