Everything is off except for AS which is strong. Downforce front is max, downforce rear is 250 on my current set up.

Is this the setup you're referring to? https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...seasonal-setups.300860/page-323#post-10856818

That is the one. ;) My rear downforce is 200 btw. Also what you could try is timming your down shifts. It helps me turn the car when I time it right. Again softer front helps make the care "loose". As said in my earlier posts, I try anything to make the car be loose. Regarding the diff settings. And please mind me, I am not an expert. Setting the acceleration sensitivity higher can make your car slide more but will also give slower acceleration out of the corner. If you look at the number one guy he is unbelievable fast out of the 3rd corner. This makes me believe his diff settings are not too high. (please anyone correct me if I am wrong).

Last you could play with break balance. I find having it more to the front helps me turn the car in the last corner.

Does anyone have a good Setup for the Ford RS200 RC?
I used the RS200, as it almost my only rally car.
Red on the first lap, Bronze on the second, Gold on the third.
Now I'm trying to corner/brake better and see if I can get back to under 3000th (which is where that first Gold got me on Friday)

Not much use to you now as I'm at work.
I'll put the tune I used on later, if no one else has.

For me i figured out as a key-passage the last left to right s-corner towards the quick 180° righthander before the bridge.
There you have to use every inch of the track to come nearly straight through that S and push as soon as possible.
I lost and also found about half a second only on the following short straight towards the 180° right hander.

Yeah that is a hard turn. What helps me is to play a little with the gas. It is a hard turn that's for sure. Try not take it too short:cheers:

That's definitely where I lost the most of my time. Watched the ghosts I was neck and neck with up to that point disappear around the bend there every time! Haven't run this one again since I golded it on the first night though...

Thanks for this. I appreciate you taking the time to give me advice. I shall playing with it shortly. The way that first guy slides in and out of those first few corners is unreal. There's just no struggle at all.

What do you mean by timing the down shift? How do you do that and how does it help?

Thanks

First of all: Skills. Second: They have a tune that matches their skills. Third: Practice and training a couple years can help :)

You should not take it as a battle with the top drivers, take a time in your head and try to get it.

Cheers.

The time I try and beat is my own. I drive quite well but I lose time on those corners.

For me, as an example, the U turn before the tunnel. When I start breaking I shift down from 6 to 5 and 4, trying to hug the inside of the start of the turn. The car want to keep moving in a straight line towards the outside of the corner (of the track) and I want in to turn into the corner. I am still in 4th, when I time the downshift from 4 to 3rd gear well, the moment I shift down ( also at the same time steering into the corner) the front of the car actually moves into the right direction due to the down shift. Next I aim for the inside of the corner (patch of grass) and gear up.

:)

Practice makes perfect!

That has helped considerably, I'm now at 1.10.829!

I'm streaming it for about an hour if anybody is interested:

I do apologize for the quality. I no longer have my desktop so I'm resorting to an old Dell Latitude with an i3 :(

Interesting to see that the guy in 10th spot currently is using a joystick, and automatic transmission! Maybe this is one event where manual transmission doesn't give such a big advantage?

Try to use ALWAYS manual!! Its the kind of map and car that make the difference between joystick and wheel not so big...but wheel is still better than joystick

Managed a 1:15.1 with a bone stock Escort Rally Car after half a dozen laps.
I was resisting the temptation to tune it, but it just doesn't have the grunt or right gear ratios to haul uphill in the last section.

I'm using Shaun's tune over at : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...seasonal-setups.300860/page-323#post-10856818

I used your's at first with a few tweaks and managed to get a good time.

If I streamed, would you be willing to have a watch and see if you can see what I'm doing wrong?

I'd appreciate it :)

Thanks
