Okay, will have to keep working at it then. I find I'm heading through the corner on 125-130kph, hugging the inside (but not touching the rumble strips) and that's my best line. But often find myself drifting out mid-corner.

I refuse to use the GSX-R/4. Maybe I can set the best time without using GSX-R/4 here. Join me!

Just like I refused the 2X at the Eifel seasonal a while back. Placed just outside top 1,000 using the 905B, best time from anyone not using the 2X.

Shelby Series 1 got the gold for me, 1m00.296s currently 539 in the world. Used a @TRL_Andromeda tune from the Death Valley seasonal a while back, I think. Increased power to get 500pp as that was a 480pp event.

Impreza 22B might just about do it but I was 0.4s off with DS3. CS tyres require 90% throttle no matter what power level the car actually has. R2 doesn't give me enough fidelity in GT6 but I still find it better than using joystick.

L2 works fine for braking but it really feels like R2 is made logarithmic in GT6. In GTA5 it is linear.

I just think you're afraid to beat my time ;)

Here is my gold tune for this event.

Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01 (500PP CS)

Someone changed rear camber to 0.8 and found it easier to manage if you find the rear a little lively.
Great tune, but I'm still .3 secs off gold! Aaaaaargh!!!!!

@Kossie nice tune mate. Not the easiest one I've used to drive the car with but most definitely the quickest 👍

Currently P5 UK with a 59.6 pretty sure I can get a .5, possibly 4 but that looks about it for me  Will try again over the weekend

@Doodle are you leaving the corners in 2nd or 3rd gear mate? I'm not sure which I should use as it's either lose acceleration or make the car unstable

4 weeks the time. there are become better tunes

I'm bizzy to find a great tune. With this tt its all about the tune. Firtst time for me. I post it here if i found a better one. I cant drive without traction controll with this. So if i found a tune then the non traction wheel guys have a nice setup.

I don't really think I have any feedback mate. I just need to adapt as the gearing isn't what my first runs were, hence why I'm not sure whether I should leave the hairpins in 2nd or 3rd gear. Only thing I can say is like @bone_tone I moved the ballast forwards, changed the oil like doodle with more weight. The trans seemed a bit awkward to set up, that's all I could say. I had to put the max speed to 112MPH. All gears were fine except the last which went to 1.549

final gear I set as 4.420

(I use a wheel just so you know)

Apart from setting the box up which I managed to sort out it was a great tune, so well done mate

@Kossie has an amazing setup. Just ran a 58.229, less than half a tenth behind first, and I failed the final turn.

Edit: My improvements over the past two hours:

58.229 > 227 > 206 > 199 > 195 > 193

Edit2: FINALLY. Took way too long. 58.149 for current 1st place. :D
Try
2-2
2-2
7-7
More stable i think.

Yeah that's the problem. Everyone have a different driving style. So found out whats the best tune.

I agree with you, I don't want to use that GSX-R either. Maybe near the end I might try, but I want to break into the .59's without that car. You and if anyone else wants to try the tune I am using for the Subaru S206 NBR Challenge Package, it belongs to @fordlaser777 from the Evo/Wrx seasonal https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ion-impreza-super-lap-tsukuba-circuit.333359/
Just switch the tires to comfort softs, I did a 1:00.342 and I'm still finding time but also making mistakes else where.
Edit: I forgot to mention I use a wheel and the only driving AIDS I use are driving line and ABS: 1.

Ferrari Dino - 1.03.9 Someone could definitely find the extra second for silver. Very slippery. Lots of throttle control needed, which makes it fun but not very fast.

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R '02 - 1:01.15 Much more grip with this one. Struggling to find the extra couple of tenths though.

Shelby Series One - 1:00.884 If they excluded the GSX I reckon this is the car everyone would be driving.

I did have a go in the GSX. I know it gets a bad press but it is rather fun on CS tyres, if you can put up with the whining.

I really suck with these tyres. To heavy footed and inpatient coming out of the hairpins that I'm just angry.
This plus the Nurb is gonna be a long month.

Can I suggest either short shifting a little (which is what I do), or maybe using TC2 instead of TC1?

I was so anxious to get on track that I setup the gsx-r in the track menu, thinking I'll back out later and out the wing on, after inputting all the numbers I forgot to back out and put the wing on it! Managed a 1:00.513... Hopefully I can get under 1 min with the wing on! Thanks for the tune again @shaunm80

Didn't we have one a while ago where everyone changed from the GSX to the Shelby half way through? Can't see that happening here. The GSX was a second quicker for me.

Shelby Series One Supercharged setup by @TRL_Andromeda for 480pp seasonal on Death Valley. @True-blue-8

1:23.4
Shelby series 1 supercharged

Suspension:
Ride height: 130/70
Spring rate: 5.01/5.67
Dampers compression: 1/1
Dampers extension: 1/1
Anti-roll bars: 7/7
Camber angle: 0.0/0.0
Toe angle: 0.00/-0.25 (0.00 -0.05 BenMillard DS3)
Brake balance: 5/5 (5/4 BenMillard DS3)

Transmisson (BenMillard has own gears, fraction shorter because he's slow)
Reset to default, set final gear to 3300, then set max speed to minimum
1'st: 3.968
2'nd: 2.909
3'rd: 2.446
4'th: 2.072
5'th: 1.740
6'th: 1.476
Final gear: 2.500

Differential:
Initial torque: 5
Acceleration sensitivity: 10 (8 BenMillard DS3)
Braking sensitivity: 5

Power:
No power parts
No oilchange
Limiter at 84.3% (93.3% BenMillard 500pp)

Body:
All weight reductions (1006kg)
No ballast
Downforce: -/20 wing installed
body rigidity installed
DS3 | TCS 0 | ABS 1 | Steering 5 for Death Valley, now on Tsukuba I used Steering 7

Putting 15,000km engine wear without oil change would allow a smaller Power Limiter. The winning time from the 480pp event was using this technique. At 500pp it might not matter.
