Never really took events at RBR too seriously for I didn't like the track for I somehow managed to mess everything up there all the time... weird track if you ask me :D heheheh

The Eifel track requires a similar approach to RBR IMO... it's quite a technical track... lot's of fast sections punctuated by heavy braking in to tight corners. You need to be very precise with braking points and exit lines on both of them :)

Hehehe... I love them. You have to be so much more precise on brake/throttle/steering :)

And thats where i'm failing, don't like the lack of grip, you need to be very carefull at everything.
Maybe i just made a bad car choice,Lexus LFA (exeter tune).

Clicked off a decent one finally. P60 and P5 in the US. Not bad. There's a flow here, I just haven't found it all yet. And I'm not using enough of the track.

:D:tup:

Very bad car choice.

I would suggest to take the Nissan VGT or the Murcielago SuperVeloce if you have problems
with the RWD cars.
I did 1:38.9xx with the Nissan and 1:39.6xx with the Lambo after a few laps.
I posted a tune for the Murcielago in the 600pp Ascari thread. ;)

Just got back to the top of my friendlist with a 1:37,873. Let's see what @Stotty can do at the weekend. :mischievous:

Just got a 1:41:531 in the nsx-r. Not amazing but, been playing gt6 for less than a week and only my third time on the dfgt, coming from a none wheel background thanks @Stotty for the set up!

Heh, for me this track feels bit like Ascari :odd: there's so much camber in some of those corners that really feels like the car just wants to follow the right path if you just let it :dopey: at RBR my problem really was that already the first corner felt like it needed a bit of luck if I want to make it really fast, and the SECOND corner was really like totally out of this world and I NEVER in ANY of those cars quite got the hang of it... and when I already struggle so much on corners 1 and 2 you can probably imagine that setting records there is a bit though :D heheh, also that 4th corner that dives blindly to the left got me more than several times when I was on a good lap :ouch: and you don't even want me to begin with the yellow bump on that last corner, I mean who the hell but it there, who's idea was it   hehehe, it's THE most awful track in the game if you ask me   heheheh :D naah, I got to admit that NSX-R is a quite though car to handle at any track and RBR just got the best of me by being so damn unpredictable... This track at least has some really nice flowing corners and CS tires REALLY makes you drive in a way that you'll have to learn the flow of the track or you're not going anywhere... I've always been bit more in to the real tracks, but learning a totally new PD track (that actually has some flow in it :D ) is pretty welcome at this point, so hopefully I can make some more improvements and really get in to the details of this track :) 👍

-Morning coffee rant :D

I am only 2 seconds behind you, you are doing very well mate:cheers:.
Thanks mate, I'm actually surprised I have the jump on everyone on my list at the moment.
I expect you'll get serious shortly and I'll be complaining again about all the blue lines blocking my view.
I had been using mid range turbo and some weight but it's clearly better with neither. Good luck.

Here is another high recommendable car for this event.

Ok, applied @Stotty 's tune (ARB's at 7?) but I could not find the grip needed and kept making laps around .39's... after I could not find out what my problem was I looked at @Doodle 's replay and realized I was using the gears in the worst possible way, keeping it on low revs really helped maintaining the grip coming in and going out from corners and managed to improve bit over .8 seconds (38.234 IIRC) and actually enjoyed the car and the track quite much, pretty damn difficult, but when you get it right it's really sweet :P

Thanks for the tune, and thanks for the replay :D 👍

Looks like you found a good balance :)

My set-up is what was on the car last time I used it (the Red Bull Ring event, I think). I just put CS tyres on it, reduced the ppts and lowered the LSD a bit to help with the less grippy tyres (was on SH last time).

From what I remember, the important bits were;

Ride 85 80
Springs at minimum
Dampers all at 3
No toe or camber
Brakes 7 5
LSD 5 12 5
Max downforce
Full weight reduction, power limiter to reach ppt limit.

It's got plenty of rotation, but also has some annoying brake release oversteer which I'll try and reduce.

I have a couple of NSX-R's; one with chassis strengthening, one without. Not sure which one I used last night, or even if the chassis needed a 'refresh', but it felt good... will probably have a proper go over the weekend as the weather forecast is too rubbish to do anything outside.
which nsx type r is this for

Went with the NSX prototype and landed the gold first try. Not a great time by any means, but I felt good about it. It's my easiest car to drive on CS and it seems it's one of the best for this one anyway. I just can't stand that suzuki for some reason so it's my go to car for CS tires. Looking at the top times, it might be the car for everyone.

The track seems to be all about throttle control and braking at the right moment. If you can get to the point where you're sliding around each corner and screeching those tires every time, you're probably doing it right. I turned up my Traction control to help a little and it gave me the time I wanted. With all the turns, I figured it was a good idea. Yeah, you'll want it.

Got myself down to a 1:40.5 for 380th in the nsx-r. But I'm struggling to tame the beast! I could do with tweaking the set up to make it a bit more neutral but i imagine that'll just make it slow? Also just been on quick race online, people love to run into the back of you hey! Whats up with them not getting penalties but them me getting one for them turning in on me? Annoying! Anyway, god this game is good with the dfgt.

At the moment I have managed a 1:39.663. Still looking for a good full and comprehensive tune for this car.

I'll post my full set up tonight... it's not very stable, but I can give advice how to make it a bit less tail happy.

Well i'm fine with the setup you already posted -Thanks for that!
To manage the rotation, i have the LSD at 6-10-6, and also had to use TC=1. But then it's good enough for a 1:38.187 with DS3 and no AS. :)

Applause to @Dalone. You're getting hard to beat these last few TT's. Finally getting the hang of that wheel? Bet you wish you could set these times when our friend from Detroit was around; I remember him saying you would never beat him. You'd surely give him a run for his money now!:)

Cough!!!...I am glad that you are fine with the setup and your impressive 1:38.187, but maybe your a better driver than me (There I have said it!!!), but I am not great at working out track speed and braking distance. So I will find Stotty's advice very helpful.

 Well it wasn't my intention to stop @Stotty from posting his present Setup or advices. He's very helpful and always worth listening to!
I was just offering a little advice on, how to tame the beast he already posted- which is essentially to turn down the LSD-accel a bit and perhaps use a little TC.
Good luck to you 👍

If you're using the partial settings posted on page 1, and you can't wait until tonight, here are a couple of pointers...

1. Use 5 10 5 for LSD. You could try lower for accel, but for me this compromises exit speed too much

2. If the car is too unstable under braking/corner entry, begin by reducing the front ride height in single clicks. Lower front ride will reduce the rotation and make the car a bit more stable. If you're really struggling add some LSD decel, but this will result in more understeer.

3. If you're trail braking, you can also make the car more stable on entry by increasing front/decreasing rear brake bias. This will reduce 'brake release oversteer'... but it will also make trail braking more difficult

4. Install chassis strengthening - not a massive difference, but worth c.0.3s for me

Gears are also critical on this one - particularly 3rd gear. Set 3rd too short and the rears will spin up too easily.
