Oh, I just think I'm good at Sector 1, and it's after the hairpin that I get slower. (Mid to high 1'02 in the Corvette, better check those fast cars)

What times are most of you getting to the first sector?

1'00.4's consistently, occassional dip in the 59's... but these are usually followed with a rubbish exit from Spoon or a 130R ****-up.

EDIT: but not yet with the wheel!!!!

My best first sector in the NSX is 1'00.7 but i messed up the rest of the lap. Best to second check point is 1'49.90 but then tensed up and ran of the track next corner.

LOL... exactly!! So many times I've seen a super quick sector time come up and and then screw up the next bend.

I'll think I'll try the corvette, but I'll tune it myself, methinks.. :) I know you Holden and you would just take aaaalllll the credit.. ;)

btw, I think I saw you suprized how fast your NSX tune can be.. when Simsemila posted his time.. :)

Were you the other tuner for 888? I forget these things.:sly: I would still rather see how fast mine can go, and yes, I was surprised at my NSX's capability.

Thanks for the update Timmpaq 👍 Here's a video of the suby lap on my youtube video page, I'm not too happy with the way they shrunk the quality so much that you can't make out the splits and the final time! anyway here's the splits .. and the final time is displayed at the top right corner throughout the lap fortunately :)

1'00.929 / 1'49.130 - 2'15.517

Gonna test the Suby '05 and the R8 tonight 👍

Thanks for posting that mate, it's been really enlightening for me!

You seem to use the exact same lines and braking points as I do in the 05 WRX, but the speeds you reach before turn 1 and 130R appear to be a full 5-10 mph more than I am getting in the 05. Now instead of my exits I think this might have more to do with the setup because I watched really carefully and you seem to get the power on at the same part of the corner as I do, and from what i can tell of the speedometer, at the same sort of input level...

I hope this is true anyway because it means that if i nail the setup, hopefully times like that shouldn't be too far off for me.

In any case mate, that was an absolutely stonking lap, many congratulations and thank you for sharing!

All the best

Cool beans I'll try and sniff some of Ron's dust haha.

1'00.929 is full second slower than my best T1 in the R8!

So your best is 59.9 then :nervous:... I just did my best, 1'00.5xx, so I'm still .6 slower than you in T1. My laptime isn't far off yours at the moment though:

2'16.039 -- Audi R8 -- Racer_LP

My time at T2 was 1'49.6, but I was to slow through 130R to go into the 2'15s. If I can get every sector right I think I can do 2'15.7 :).

WOOHOO A faster time for me, sweaty palms and everything. I was litterely on the verge of loosing the car:scared: I simply cannot push it any further.

2'18.426 -- EVO X Concept By Gran Turismo -- GTP_DONK

Here's the Video, sorry no sound, it's my first uploaded video.:)

Update :-

2'17.780 -- Subaru WRX STI Type RA '05 -- Synwraith

Ran wide at hairpin, should be a couple more tenths in that..but 2 seconds? crikey..

All the best

Wow, your lines and brking points are almost parallel to mine! Except at that double left hander before the bac straight where (mainly compared to RWD cars that I dive) you turned in much sooner and took a narrower line. Maybe I should get an AWD car out and really take a crack at this. Or maybe not, I'm not really fast enough. (Especially putting 3 good sectors together)

So try my Corvette then if ya'll think you're so good, using your already fast cars.:odd:

2'18.708 -- Chevy Corvette C6 -- Sinsemila -- nd 4 holden spd

I used your original gear settings (final drive 4.5). That way i used the same gears through the corners as I do in the NSX.

Now that is damn fast.:D I don't know how you guys do it. I can only do a 2'18.5 in the NSX, with a couple small mistakes sure, but to do a full lap without them is hard, and that was the best I could manage after a while.

started a new drive in a new car. Subaru Impreza '07 and after fine tuning my setup i managed so far a 2.16.953

Can anyone compare these laptimes to someone else please?

Chris

Suzuka 600
2'17.972 -- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR '07 -- fusflash -- nd 4 holden spd
(I changed only brake balance to 4/6)

There is still a lot of room for improvement so give this car a chance - it can be competitive with the subaru.

I have a tune for the Evo?

Well you guys are pounding me, I can't figure out why I'm slow!:guilty: I would understand half a second, but a couple seconds!:scared:
Here's my time in the Amuse/Opera TLD 350Z:
2'19.222 -- nd 4 holden spd -- The Lion's Den
I know I could manage a 2'19 flat but I just can't put the whole lap together. If I could combine my best sectors it might be a 2'18.5. Oh, my NSX time, pathetic at best, but I tried:
2'18.507 -- nd 4 holden spd -- The Lion's Den

Both the setups I used in those laps are ever so slightly different to the ones still in TLD. The Opera has stronger rear brakes, and the NSX has a rear toe of +0.15.

I tried my Corvette at Fuji too, but I swear I'm becoming a worse driver, and couldn't break 1'54 so I let that go. I'll be back with an R8 time and a Clio/Tuned time possibly.

I've been testing different setups for the R8 for the last hour or so, and this is what came out of it:

2'15.597 -- Audi R8 -- Racer_LP -- Desmo99618 tune with some modifications.

Great thanks to Desmo for posting your setup. Couldn't have done this without it. If you want to know the modifications, just ask 👍

Edit: I've saved a replay of that lap, but I can't make a video of it:banghead:. Maybe someone can do that for me???

2'16.618 -- Audi R8 -- GTP_Beerz

Made quite a few mistakes on that lap, low 16's is well within reach, even for me. :D
