*Facepalm*

It's actually not that different from La Sarthe, it's a fast and technical track. The biggest difference is that you need to keep the inclination in mind.

It's difficult because of the length, but that's another matter.

If you'd only gone for 600PP it'd be fine because then we can use the TS030.

Now its probably gonna be either Audi R8 or Pescaloro C60, neither of wich are nice to drive.

You can use the TS030. It's capable of 7:25.

Absolutely loving these seasonals. I am starting to think that Sierra just may be my favourite track in the game, possibly even more so than The ring. Just my personal opinion of course, but I believe these beat the crap out of 450pp dirt boxes putting round Autumn ring any day. At least you have to stay awake to do them. So for me, well done PD, good idea to give us a refresher on the track then a time trial, great stuff.

Ended up using the '05 Pescarolo with it detuned to real life specs. Easy enough once you remember where you're going. Still not a fan of the jumps and how sawtooth like some of the bumps are, really annoying to drive with these cars.

Personally if everything in life was to your satisfaction, the world would be a boring place. After all it is only a game.
Its not as if you wish for a tin of hot dogs and a packet of sausages appears, one could debate that there are similarities. The same reasoning can be applied to the seasonals a race track and a car only you don't know what you will get. Expectations are different to all. I like little red cars some people like big blue cars.
Challenge is the name of the game, be grateful as one day your packet of sausages will not appear.

Wow. For those who didn't like last weeks offerings, here's some left overs. My only hope is that PD is so busy with GT7, they just can't bother with thinking about Seasonals.

After giving all my LMP cars a work out on the Expert event at Sierra this past week this should not be too bad (especially with RS tires and no AI traffic).

I dislike using the using the Pescarolo C60 for LMP events as much as I do the GSX-R/4 for 500pp events. (It's not like I'm competing for a top 20 spot in the rankings and I do like a little variety )

I'm guessing that the Toyota MINOLTA or the Peugeot 905B will be the next fastest and more than fast enough to get gold.

Struggled with this one to start with, could only manage 7.30.97 with the peugeot 905b evo 1 then thought let's go and see the tuning god.
So off to praiano i went, found the tune, changed car settings and off we went to 7.22.458.
It was at this point i was changing cars to the pescarolo c6 when i noticed we should be using soft's not the hard's i was on, so back to the peugeot now on 6.58.243 in the peugeot. Not to shabby for a pensioner.
Getting the c60 out later.

:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

Update after using the c60 now on 6.52.437

lol watched 1st position replay, it's insane...
and to get gold you need a proper car/tune and just do a clean lap, you should even get decent times (depends on how much you push)

Yesterday, many more of the fast drivers have put in a Sierra lap, so I fell out of the top 100:(:(

So I put in some track time and threw down a 6:43.990 lap:) which moved me back up into 58th place on the Leaderboard!:)

Afterwards, for a cool-down lap,:mischievous: I drove the track back-wards and found that you meet all of the AI cars, who are having quite a nice race amongst themselves without me trying to power past them. They all continue on and finish out their laps. I know because I turned around again and chased back after them and found that I had now spotted them all 8 minutes:nervous: as I crossed the S/F line to begin my lap. The AI all throttle back to 50mph at this point so I could now have a leisurely drive with them without any paint exchanges.

Driving at 50mph you can check out the Sierra scenery which is quite nice!:)

I did notice what seemed to be a duplicate section. On the right side of the track, near the 5th track-side marker and near the 16th track-side marker, there is a dirt/gravel road that veers off up a hill with a couple of spectators on it, and it seems to me that these two roads are exact duplicates. I guess I should go back and take a close look at them, and see if they are really duplications or if they are just similar when traveling 50mph.

I have found another interesting glitch on the Leaderboard. There is a driver "bmwm5jns" who has two times on the Leaderboard, and the times are both exactly the same at 6:53.860. I think the Sony network had a glitch when recording them.:odd: This morning, these times were listed in both the 200th place and the 201st place.

See you on the track!

Good fun! Very fast track with RS tires:eek:

Just like the regular Seasonal, you must slow down for the big jumps or otherwise your car will catch too much air:boggled::cool:

A tough race, especially when one can't remember every single corner of the track in his mind!
And during this lap, Lady Luck was on my side twice, once at race-minute 4:00 and again at 6:28, when I was off track with all 4 wheels definitely both times!
Most people use the Pescarolo for this race, but I am quicker with the Mazda LM55, even though I am not REALLY quick, just a mediocre driver.
But I love the Mzda LM55, it has great potential and is very good to handle!
For anyone who is interested to try the Mazda LM55, the SetUp is at the beginning of the video.
Have fun and... see you on the grid!
BTW: I started the race with 700 PPs, but noticed only after the race that the car had lost some PPs during the drive. It is on 700 PPs now again ;o))

Here is my lap:

I decided to go for a relatively safe lap by not taking risks or flooring it too hard in lower gears just so I could finish a lap and on my very first attempt I did a 7:00 time in the Perscarlo C60 which is alright. Those in the 6:20's deserve awards aha

I was planning on skipping this event because 700pp cars just don't interest me, but I was so bored that I decided to give it a go with my Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd 05'. I DQ'ed twice about halfway through and then finally crossed the finish line cleanly on the 3rd attempt. I wasn't really paying attention to my time, but I wasn't giving it all I could - I was much more concerned with not having to restart a fourth attempt. My time was 7:09.188 - enough for a Gold...All aids turned off except ABS=1.

I've gone back and looked at the two track-side sections, and to me, they look exactly the same.:boggled:

The dirt road (which is behind a section of armco) veers off up a slight hill towards a small white house. About half-way up the dirt road there is a metal fence. In front of the fence are 8 spectators. Behind the fence, there is one spectator in the middle of the road, plus there is a second spectator further up that is crouching down so he's hard to see. The metal fence is supported between two stone posts that look exactly alike. The white house has a chimney and 3 windows down the side, and has one window and a door on the end. Near the house there is a square awning that might be shading a patio.

The only thing that seems different between these two track-side sections is that the spectators are wearing different colored clothing.:boggled::cool:

I must not be driving fast enough if I can notice the track-side furniture!:ill:;):D

See you on the track!

I've been away for a while to come back to this? I've managed a bronze after 20 laps. I'm done. Not even gonna try the expert race. Looks like I haven't missed much.

I tried the Toyota 88C-V twice last night before I realized you could use RS tires. Whoops. (Both times were red laps, anyway.) Switched to RS tires and I'm not sure my time improved at all, but it still doesn't matter, since I couldn't get a clean lap. To make matter worse, none of them were gold times. I think I was off by something like 10 seconds at best.

I bought the Pescarolo, but I haven't tried it here yet. I was too busy (and tired) tonight to try it, so I'll have to take a crack at this event tomorrow.

As disappointed as I have been with the past couple week's seasonals, simply because I have no interest running 700pp cars on Sierra, I appreciate your input. You are correct, not every challenge will please every player. For those of you that have enjoyed the LM cars on Sierra, I tip my hat. My hope is that we get to run some road cars around the circuit, or maybe just some Touring cars or GT3 cars. I've just never been one for the super fast LM or Formula cars. I'm too old for that kind of reflex. :)
