Not so good... I finish championship in 4th. 5 points behind podium
But, lack of time for training (about 1h before every GP) it's not so bad I think...

As it stands, Brabham's reserve driver maclaren_no1 hasn't make any effort or response since he first asked for the slot about 2 weeks ago (hasn't even responded to my friend request on PSN yet) so if you want to take his slot that's fine with me. Brabham's race driver ,vavie_krk, hasn't been online in 8 days and missed the practice race, so i'm not holding my breath on him being able to take part tonight either, in which case you could fill in for him tonight if he doesn't show.
If you are taking part, you must read the original post carefully so that you are aware of all the rules before you enter the race. Please let me know if you are free tonight and are willing to be a reserve driver for the series.

What a great race!
My aim was to qualify somewhere in the top 5 but it wasn't to be as i Qualified 6th, wasn't too far behind the guys above me so all in all it was a decent QF
Off the line, i got a great start and shot upto P3 after a somewhat chaotic first corner, I saw Shaggy involved in an incident and a few others run wide..thankfully i managed to come out unscathed
I began chasing down Douqa and driver in P2, a few laps in, driver in P2 [Cant remember who it was] made a mistake coming out of the second to last corner and spun out, I managed to dodge past him and into P2 i lept. My next target was Douqa, who was sitting pretty in P1... For around 3/4 laps there was nothing in it as we were within 1 to 3 seconds of each other and lapping similar times
Lap 6 though was where the problems began for me.....I was struggling with the worn tyres, Made a few mistakes on lap 6 and 7 which allowed Douqa to pull away and shaggy, who was in P3 to close in. Decided to pit on Lap 8, earlier then scheduled and it was a bad pit stop, Braked too late and knocked the jackman back..Lost a lot of time, got jumped by someone in the pits and then around lap 11 i got jumped by Shaggy as he was coming out of the pits..
Managed to take him within a few laps and from then on a battle ensued, He was hunting me down lap by lap and i defended my position for around 5/6 laps until i made a tiny error around the new section of the track which allowed him to pass. I was determined to push on and get back past but a series of errors put to bed any chance of that as shaggy pulled away
Behind me was Internet user in P6 who closed in after i momentarily 'switched off' and put in a couple of bad laps, I kept him at bay for a few laps until a back marker totally took me off guard [I think it was a red bull, sorry to say but it wasn't the best of driving. Really should have went off line and conceded the position well before the corner] He ran wide in turn 17 and so did i which allowed Internet user to pass, Closed up on him right away and as i got within reach...i out braked myself into turn 19 and hit him [sorry Internet user] I waited for him to recover and let him back past, Managed to nail him on the same lap in the final corner on the inside, Was a risky move but paid off in the end [Great driving Internet user i must say]
From then on i took a backseat and strolled home to P5, A little disappointed at the result as a i felt a podium was well within reach but hey cant complain.

Great race. Enjoyed that immensely.
Qualifying went alright. I started off with a 1:54 something which had quite a few mistakes in it but it at least gave me a banker lap. I went for a 2nd lap but got held up by a Renault who I think might of been on a flyer so I just eased off and pitted. I realised I have 1:53 in me so I came out for my second stint optimistic. Unfortunately I was held up by the Williams who to be blunt, was all over the track. Not quite sure what he was doing but it ruined that lap so it was all on the last lap. Fortunately I avoided traffic and managed a 1:53.8 (i think) which gave me a solid 5th.
For the race I started with the engine turned up and got a pretty decent start and was gaining on DarkPSI who was in 3rd I believe. Coming into the 1st corner I braked around 130ms or so which slowed me down enough not to punt anyone off and allowed me to manoeuvre any incident. Or at least it would have because I got a nudge by the Lotus behind me I presume. Not sure if it was his fault. I personally think it's perfectly possible for us all to get round turn 1 fine if we all drive with a bit of caution. It's especially annoying I imagine if you qualify on the front row - you're effectively a sitting duck if this keeps happening
Anyway, somehow though I ended up in 2nd and following DOUQA coming out of turn 2. I kept with DOUQA for a good few laps and managed to keep the Lotus (i think?) in 3rd in a reasonably safe position. However my usual demons kicked in and I spinned on the left hander leading onto the back straight. This put me straight to 4th
This was my worst phase of the race and I made a few more mistakes and lost a few more positions. At one point I was in 7th following Baumi and I think I pitted on lap 6-7 with all the promise of my race gone. The race got ridiculously fun once everyone else was coming out of the pits a few laps later because there was about 4-5 cars all jostling for position. At one point I it was three abreast. Unfortunately in the midst of this I managed to punt my team mate Shaggy going into turn 1 (Just call me Vettel). I was on the defensive after getting a poor exit onto the home straight so took the inside line to block the approaching Lotus. However I was concentrating too much on the Lotus behind me and I missed my braking point ever so slightly going into turn 1. That, the tighter line I took, plus knowing that the Lotus was outside me mean I nudged Shaggy causing him to spin. At one point I thought I might just get away with it, but obviously not. Sorry about that!
This put me back in 7th with a mountain to climb again. I managed to catch up with the Lotus and pass him however I was making lots of silly mistakes and couldn't really shake him once I'd made the overtake. I got punted into the left hander leading into the back straight and for a second thought you weren't going to let me by again but you did so cheers for that. However I did think you're eventual overtaking move was a bit cheeky. Can't remember where it was but you basically dived down the inside and shoved me out of the way whilst I was aiming for the apex, ballsy move but i had to correct to stop myself from spinning. Also you did some Schumacher like line changes coming into turn one which threw me off a bit as I was attempting an overtake. Good stuff though!
So yeah, there was 5 laps to go and I gambled basically on people running out of fuel. In the end it was a mistake because no one ran out of fuel it seemed and I lost a lot of time to the Lotus. Mistake.
Anyway, good stuff. I guess I'm reasonably pleased with my overall pace, I just need to cut out needless mistakes and refrain from taking out my team mate lol. I think we're a really evenly matched bunch of drivers and I can see some legendary races taking place this season!

ahh, so thats what happened. I thought that overtake was a bit strange. There was also a pretty funny predicament which happened around that time where (I believe the Renault) was being passed by us coming into turn 5 where you were taking him on the inside and I on the outside leaving him effectively sandwiched lol
Oh yeah and finally, I heard in the lobby that Dark PSI didn't wait when he punted Shaggy at turn 1. Not cool. It's not just unfair on Shaggy, its unfair for all the people who do wait when an accident happens. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Unfortunately I hit Shaggy in the first corner just after start and didnt let him pass again. It was clearly my fault so its a shame and i forgot an important rule mentioned in rule set (if you hit someone from behind and he spins, you must let him overtake again!!). So due to this fact I'm not so lucky with the race and look forward what the race stewards are going to do with my points.
Beside this it was a great race!! Thanks to all racers!!

Unfortunately I hit Shaggy in the first corner just after start and didnt let him pass again. It was clearly my fault so its a shame and i forgot an important rule mentioned in rule set (if you hit someone from behind and he spins, you must let him overtake again!!). So due to this fact I'm not so lucky with the race and look forward what the race stewards are going to do with my points.
Beside this it was a great race!! Thanks to all racers!!

The only time i came into contact with someone during the race was when i hit you on turn 19 [Again, My mistake and sorry about that ]I think it was the final turn where i made the move, I saw, or i thought you ran a little wide so thats why i went for the inside line. Thankfully we were both pointing in the right direction after and i think the move was aggressive but within limits?
And yes, i took the inside line down into turn one to defend my position, I didnt weave, just moved across once
Lol, i thought i was a goner at that stage
Kudos to the Renault driver because i think he did lift off

In hindsight yeah, I'm ok with it. It was a bold move but you pulled it off. At the time, though, I may shouted a few expletives at you

No that was fine. Was maybe a lap or so later where you took the inside line then moved to the outside to take the corner. I don't think you realised how close I was. It's cool though. Considering this was only the first race of the season, I think we all did really well. It's definitely the highest level race I've ever competed in.

First off just want to say that was some of the most fun, intense racing I've experienced in this game yet!
Qualifying went well, no traffic issues. Thought I had 5th but Internet User took it at the last second. I was happy to get into the 53's though.
I had a decent start, I think I lightly touched Internet User in the first corner as I got lightly hit from behind, didn't seem to affect either of us too much though. I came out of the first corner in 4th and pretty much kept pace with the leaders for the next few laps. I passed Internet User when he went off and caught up to Jerry. Shaggy was catching me pretty quickly at the same time, the 3 of us were pretty close for a lap or so. I think Jerry almost spun at turn 9 and I went wide and had to slow so I didn't pass him and get a penalty, Shaggy took advantage and got past me. DarkPSI got by shortly after on the same lap (don't quite remember when) and Jerry and I both pitted. I came out in front of him and I was surprised on the next lap to come out in front of both Shaggy and DarkPSI when they pitted.
This put me in 2nd behind DOUQA and we had about a 3 second gap between us for quite a few laps until he had a problem. I can't remember exactly what was going on behind me but Baumi and DarkPSI were slowly catching up. After passing DOUQA I surprisingly found myself leading the race! I knew I was going to have to start thinking about saving fuel soon (it's really hard not to push when you're in the lead). I tried my hardest to keep DarkPSI behind me while also trying to short shift and be gentle on the throttle, but he got by eventually.
Then came the most exciting part of the race for me, a great battle with Baumi for a good 4 or 5 laps (can't remember how many exactly). He must have been running less downforce because he was quite a bit faster on the straights but I needed a little less distance to brake. We had a bunch of great battles into the last corner and the first corner, I hope I didn't do anything unfair, it's hard to tell sometimes when defending. This kept going until lap 23 when my fuel light came on so I had to switch to Cruise, this lost me two places but it was probably the right decision since I ran out of fuel on the second last corner of the last lap, so I at least kept 4th. A podium would have been nice but overall I'm really happy with 4th.
I'm really looking forward to Australia where hopefully fuel won't be as much of an issue.

For me very tough race. A Q was a disappointment. I don't like this track much
More important for me was clean race not place. I remember one little contact after spin someone. I touched him (don't remember name) gently and set him up for right direction. Don't time for reaction and pass. I have good fight on few laps with manios 👍Thanks again guys and I'm really looking forward to Australia.

Just for clarification, can anyone tell me did Manios get DSQ'd from the race? And who qualified in 9th, was it Tom or Manios?
