Right, im off for dinner, and then to bed for an early start tomorrow.
Be back in about 12:30 hours :) Night all.

Re Garcia, I was amused that he and other GT drivers are biting off so much of the Ford Chicane they'd get red laps in the current GT5 TT.

We should be blaming the lack of competition not on the DeltaWing, not on Toyota, not on the ACO....but on Peugeot.

I agree. What a bunch of nancys!!! They even had a car ready for the season but scraped it all. Maybe they got bored of trying :D.

Can I just note something ironic.

In the last days of Group C, Peugeot were mainly battling against Toyota with the 905 vs TS010.

Then, the Audi R series comes along and begins a rivalry with Peugeot's 908 when they come back.

Now, Audi's R18's seem good to be battling with the TS030.

...It's an interesting thing to look at, if I'm honest.

Always the usual suspects :) What's next? Jaguar versus Porsche? :P

Eurosport Player
Sorry, Eurosport Player is currently not available for viewing in your geographical location.

Well, 🤬 YOU EUROSPORT!!!! :@

I was having issues with it about half an hour ago.

It's working again now for me.

o.

Unfortunately it doesn't work the other way round between GT5 and the 24 hours of the Nürburgring. We got, what, a friggin' Skyline from that race?

Indeed, I'd love to see the Audi R18 in GT, I want to see those bright lights
Can't turn on lights in Forza:(

If the car lasted the entire race and met the tester's expectations and requirements, then I think it would be fine. I doubt position really matters considering it's racing in it's own class for a reason.
Well you have your idea, my idea is you can bring everything you want at Le Mans, green cars, ecological cars, delta wings, whatever you want as long as you try to actually COMPETE with the rest of the field.

IMO There's no point on going to Le Mans and being trolled by normal prototypes. You only "lessen" your technology.

If you are not ready for competition make your private test, a good video promo and that' about it.

I have a good feeling we might see the Delta Wing again come next year.

But it won't. Garage 56 is already taken for next year and there won't be any rule changes in anything to support it any time soon.

And why don't people hate the 458 that hit thr other Toyota.

P.s- every time you hear Peugeot it means Toyota. A huge mistake I've noticed :-\

Didn't Peugeot drop out due to money problems? I seem to recall the head of Peugeot (or whoever is in charge), say that he didn't find it fair to lay off people, in favor of participating in the 2012 Le Mans. They simply prioritized not having to fire people.

^

You don't get the same test results from driving alone for 24 hours to driving with a full grid for 24 hours. ;)

anyone can give me info on the status of the DW and the toyota?

DeltaWing's out of it unfortunately.

Toyota's still in the garage, some 18 laps down on the lead Audi. No sign yet of it returning to the track.

EDIT: Toyota's just come back out, but stopped at the end of pitlane.

The obvious problem being that ACO regulations explicitly prohibit such innovative thinking as used on the Deltawing.
