I can race, but I don't know if I will. I'd like to see some real turnout for a change, because getting a ballast just for showing up and driving seems counter-productive to me.

I didn't even bother. There was only 2 people who said they'd be there. We'll do Motegi on the 6th of January. If anyone wants to race tomorrow evening let me know. I doubt there will be many interested since it's New Year's Eve. So if not, we'll put that off till the 7th of January.

I could have had a better race if I didn't screw up my tire selection. It was fun though, and Zovo and I had 2 good battles throughout the race, and one lasted up until the end!

I had a mini battle with Scanny, but he had mediums while I had softs. My strategy played out good. To make softs then mediums work, you have to gap the guys on mediums by a good margin and make the softs go as long as possible so you have less laps to do on mediums. That's why I took mediums for qualifying.

INTRODUCTION

Special Stage Route 5 is one of the two night time stages in the Gran Turismo series. Based off of a highway, believed to be located in Japan that is notorious for illegal street racing, the course offers a handful of intermediate turns with a few advanced corners, as well as easy corners. The main straight is 997Meters long (.62 mile) as well enabling top speeds in excess of 310kph (193mph). Be prepared to slow down as there is a hard left handed roundabout after the straight. With 16 turns in total and 21 meters of elevation change, SSR5 is a great and challenging street course!

RACE DETAILS

Race room will open ~2:00pm est. (Sunday) with qualifying starting ~2:30pm (provided enough entries). Qualifying settings will be fuel consumption/tire wear on FAST while race setting will be NORMAL

TIRE USAGE

SOFTS are option tires, prime tires are MEDIUMS Minimum13 laps per stint. A MAX option tire usage (SOFTS) will be 28laps. You choose which compound you qualify with, but start the race with said tire compound.
