???? It can't be because I was tired, My qually lap was within .050 of the car in second place, and I would believe I was fastest at the end of all the speed traps, I know Seth had the draft on me at least 3 laps in a row down all the straights, and couln't get around me 3 out of 4 times, only because of the gearing and that I was running around 30/ 50 aero points,

I thought my gearing was long enough to draft pass people, but it wasn't! I topped out at 335kmh. Its ok though, thanks to my limited top speed I could stay with the late braking. Plus with the ballast I have it's hard to get the good acceleration. Remember the McLaren is 950kg and has that awesome weight balance.

Winner, I'm not concerned with your setup, I just want to see that you're running the car 'stock' in terms of engine/turbo.

INTRODUCTION

Special Stage Route 5 is one of the two night time stages in the Gran Turismo series. Based off of a highway, believed to be located in Japan that is notorious for illegal street racing, the course offers a handful of intermediate turns with a few advanced corners, as well as easy corners. The main straight is 997Meters long (.62 mile) as well, enabling top speeds in excess of 310kph (193mph). Be prepared to slow down as there is a hard left handed roundabout after the straight. With 16 turns in total and 21 meters of elevation change, SSR5 is a great and challenging street course! Who will top the podium in the streets of Japan?

Barely stayed lead lap. Good race everyone, and nice battle at the end anthony, maybe I'll be able to catch a ROLEX race one of these days...

I was hoping to race today, but the missus bought new skylander's, jeez that game does my head in, I should be able to make next Sunday's race, and possibly next Monday's too, What GT-1's are available for Monday's?

The CLK is available. Were supposed to have 2 guys confirmed for GT1 in the McLaren. But I think only one is confirmed. So it's between those two. More than likely the Mercedes CLK-LM.

Results from tonight are up shortly.

Ok, I'll do that. Hopefully you can make it this upcoming weekend! You were quick in the CLK at La Sarthe!

I was hoping the Nissan GT-1 was available for Monday's, I'm 2 seconds faster in that at La Sarthe,

I have two questions.
1. Will I have to put the 25kg on the car neutrally, or can it be adjusted?
2. Will I have to add the 25kg to the 1160kg minimum, or the 1170kg I ran at Rte. 5?

You're running 1170kg minimum weight. You add 25kg to 1170kg, so you will be at 1195kg. If you were running 1160kg, it would increase to 1185kg. But you chose to run at 1170 so it's only fair that you add the weight to the amount you were running. Agreed? Positioning is open, so place it wherever you see fit.

Its impossible to police the position of the ballast so I would assume you can put it anywhere you want.

I also think its accumulative, you will add it on to your previous success ballast.

Edit. Treed.

Okay, sounds good.

I just ran a practice with the BMW McLaren at SSR5. That car is stupid fast. 1'12.668, and I was still scraping the inside walls a bit...

I wish they had the 333SP, MkIIIs2, C41, and V12 LM in this game. It would make a nice 98 LMP class, even if they only had the 333SP in here.

I'd prefer if they just had the Porsche 911 GT1 98, Lister V12 Longtail and Lotus Elise GT1. That would basically complete the class of the FIA GT running cars

A 1998 Toyota TS020 would go nicely with that too ;)

And speaking of Toyota...
I've been doing some specing for no reason at all... and I put the downforce for the GT-ONE at 50-70, and kept its weight at 900kg, and made it go 213mph on the Mulsanne (542hp 900kg), and it is STILL slower (abeit by a tenth of a second) than the Mercs which only ran 208mph on the Mulsanne. (621hp 1000kg). Best thing about these regs are that the Toyota GTONE's downforce is policeable. Set to 501hp (which is what it should run in your series) and 634pp, and the best they can do is put the downforcce on 51-71, which won't do much harm. (Even better is 511hp and 636pp, where you can't even take it off 50-70, but then it will probably be too fast).
In fact, I didd all of the cars by their realistic top speed (Exception: Panoz) and saw what happened... I got this...

1. Mercedes-Benz CLK LM: 3'31.202
2. Toyota GTONE (TS020): 3'31.438
3. Courage C60 '03: 3'31.438 [represents Courage C51]
4. Nissan R390 GT1: 3'31.522
5. BMW McLaren F1 GTR: 3'31.900
6. Pescarolo C60 '04: 3'31.961 [Represents Ferrari 333SP]
7. BMW V12 LMR: 3'32.161 [Represents BMW V12 LM]
8. Panoz Esperante GTR-1: 3'32.637

I also have not ran GT2s yet either... I'm stoked for those.

The Toyota is too fast. I don't want to have to nerf it, plus it never did FIA GT (neither did Nissan, but it's still a lot closer).

on the subject of car list, I've been meaning to ask why the Nissan GTR R35 LM is in this series?

And why don't you use the storm V12? to hard to spec?

It's way too heavy at over 1400kg. The GTR is in because the Nissan GTR was a common feature of LeMans in the 90s. They don't have the R33 LM, and the R33 TC isn't quite fast enough.
