Plus I figured out why the Panoz is so heavy in GT5. They must be using some type of drifferent Panoz that was used in a separate Le Mans series, since the #4 is used over the #45
Maybe used in ALMS GT1 in 99, then have it just told to us that it is 1998?

Hey, Seth. I'm back home, and i wanted to say that I'll probably be there sunday night. Not sure yet on how I'll feel.

For Daytona I think we'll go with softs as the prime and mediums as the option. I'm debating the minimum stint length, but I'll have that up before we race. Glad you're back Franko!

About the Panoz, I think PD just got the values wrong. Maybe it is ALMS class, but they were suppose to weigh under 1000kg, not 1150kg. I'm not sure but I think it ran GT1 in ALMS. It's obviously too heavy in the game to keep pace with the GT1 class were running so it's GTS for this series.

It's way too heavy at over 1400kg. The GTR is in because the Nissan GTR was a common feature of LeMans in the 90s. They don't have the R33 LM, and the R33 TC isn't quite fast enough.

You tried a tuned R33 GT-R LM roadcar? Or does that not have downforce?

Sorry if this is a useless comment but I'm afc for a while =\

It has no downforce. It might if there were a wing installed, but it's a road car compared to these which are race cars. I did some running with the R33TC last night. It needs engine stage 3 and turbo 3 just to keep up. With it's unfavorable weight balance and lower downforce it's kind of outclassed. I'm sure someone could get on with it and make a good run with it. But it's a lot easier to just have the GTR Concept LM race car in it's place.

Just tried it... 1'17.1 on my best run with soft tires.
I also tried the NSXR LM, got a 1'15.5. Doubt it is any good, but a fast car nonetheless.

I ran it at 630hp 1180kg around Fuji and was doing 1:34.2, but that was just with turbo 3, not engine stage 3 plus the Turbo 3. So it probably could drop mid-low 1:33s. That was offline so it could be a little faster online.

If I added it with those specs it'd beat everyone on any straight line.

I'm thinking of adding it for season 3, or perhaps letting someone try it if they want for the rest of this season. Monday's series is only on round 3 so someone could try it out if they want. I think 630hp 1170kg turbo3+engine3 would be a good starting point.

Actually you're wrong.
Unless I can't drive a car for my life, with full power it hits 179mph on SSR5... slower than Panoz's 183mph, and it is slower in turning...
I just wish Panoz is GT1 in GT5... I can only live these memories in Le Mans 24 Hours (very good PS2 game based on the homologation era... including all LMPs except Porsche LMP1, and every GT1 except Lotus and Porsche. It also has a surpring lack of a TS020. :/ It has the GT2 Roock Racing Porsches though).

in keeping with the FR setup, you could try the '99 or '00 R34 SGT500 car?

At 630hp the GTR R33 TC did 298kmh at the end of Fuji's straight for me. That's a little bit slower than say the Panoz and Lamborghini, but every other GTS car was at the same speed or little slower (at full downforce). SSR5 is different because you need that good launch from the final turn to reach a high top speed. This GTR won't work as good.

The Hiroto only goes to about 560hp. But I just tested it and it's capable of 1:34s at Fuji on softs in my hands with a quick tune. I maxed out the HP and ran 1135kg. I really like the current GTR though. It may be slow on the top end, but it's the best in the turns.

It also had that great acceleration, you should disallow 7th gear in that car...

Exactly. So far, the Viper is the car that's doing the best in GTS, not the GTR. Like I said, it's the best around turns but it's slow on top speed. That's why Scanny didn't finish well at La Sarthe.

By checking the replay. There's no reason to limit the GTR to 6 gears. It'll be even slower on the straights than it is now.

Details for today's race will be up soon. If the GT5 maintenance doesn't allow us to connect, we will postpone it until next Sunday.

Seth I won't be around until 8 again (only 2 Sunday's of this left), I'll get everything switched on and signed in so I can jump straight into the room as soon as I'm home but as usual don't hang around for me if you get enough to start 👍
