What time and day would the races suit you?

You give Dev one week, one track, and one lap time and he'll get all cars within 3 tenths of each other. Issue with him is that he uses stock suspensions and LSD for all cars.

He claims that he has the entire 98 GT1 class within 3 tenths at LM, including the Panoz, and LMP as well. I highly doubt his claim since "The Glitch" has been pulling crazy stuff on this game since a year ago.
Always about a second faster during time trials and races, even though he drives slow cars. He calls it his "joint setup," but I swear it is something more.
One more thing, Daytona is not a curse for him, he just keeps getting depressed during the race there and is less aware of his surroundings.

Mark Dvorak
Locked with "The Animal," and still surviving.

What in the world are you talking about?

I was confused too. I can make all the cars equal myself. I'm asking for input from the drivers to make them equal. So basically I'm asking who wants to drive what. And we will make the cars even based on feedback and lap times at certain specs I give out, then make slight tweaks.

I'd like to drive the Merc, but I don't think I'll have time to participate again until May.

Cool. Next season I think I might go with the Nissan R390 or the McLaren. They're faster than the Mercedes IMO.

Basically, what I was saying is that I'm tired of putting up with the same stuff every day.

As far as imput, you won't find a JGTC R34 with 50-70 downforce, it doesn't exist.
As far as reducing horsepower for GT1, please don't! Those cars are meant to go that fast and have that kind of tire wear. In fact, I think the tire wear is rather lengthy for all classes already. Reducing horsepower also means reducing cornering speed, which makes even slower racing than you think.

Remember, this is an FIA LMGT series, not some super touring car series that just got thrown together. It has to be fast.

The series is fine as is. Although the NSX is anywhere close to having a fair chance with the other GTS cars. Maybe next season you could bump it up a bit.

Just a little input. I think that the McLaren should be at the same weight as the R390 & the Mercedes. In the right hands, the car is a beast. Putting it at the same weight as the other 2 in the class should tame it a tad.

I'm sticking with the R390 for S3. Put teams back in the mix of things. I'll team up with you seth. :)

And on the downside hurt its tire wear to an even larger extent.
The BMW McLaren should be 10hp less than the Nissan and Mercedes, and have its weight kept at 950kg.

About upgrades for GTS, allow [/B]STAGE 2[/B] turbo kits for understeer cars.
Panoz, Corvette, and Lambo all benefit from the better acceleration off the corners and doesn't effect top speed too much. It also helps the cornering aspect.
However, using stage 3 turbos on cars restrict the cornering slightly, reduce torque, but increases top speed signifigantly.

GT1 is set in stone. 550hp or 560hp and stock weight for each of them. The ballast will help or hurt your case. The McLaren may have an advantage on the handling department, but it's small. And tire wear is decent, but when it gets low on tires is when it gets to be a little bit of a handful. I'll see about the turbo updates. I think the GTR should get a turbo upgrade because it's low top speed. But if that's the case, it'll definitely gain some weight. I'm thinking 1170kg. The Viper may see an increase in weight in the same regard but keep without the turbos. The Panoz is very fast in a straight line. The problem is the balance of the weight. But with less power the tire wear won't be much of a problem for it. These cars are a lot faster than what they were IRL. People want to run softer tires though because it's easier for them to be consistent. So I'll keep that, so slowing the cars will be done by power decreasing and a slight increase in weight. The GT1's won't be as fast on the straights, but they'll still be as fast through turns. We'll see about the final specs. But for now they're looking to be a 40-50hp drop from what they currently are. Stay tuned 👍

INTRODUCTION

Laguna Seca is a permanent racing course located near Monterey, California. Originally constructed in 1957, it hosts motorcycle and auto racing, plus our very own FIA GT racing.

The current racetrack is 2.238 miles (3.602 km) in length with a 180 feet (55 m) elevation change. It has eleven turns, including the famous "Corkscrew" at Turns 8 and 8A. The name Laguna Seca is Spanish for "dry lagoon". The area where the track is was originally a lake. The course was originally built around the lake, which has since dried up entirely.

Who will stand atop the podium after 65 fast paced laps in "wine country's" Laguna Seca?

RACE DETAILS

Race room will open ~2:00pm est. (Sunday) with qualifying starting ~3:00pm (provided enough entries). Qualifying settings will be fuel consumption/tire wear on FAST while race setting will be NORMAL

TIRE USAGE

MEDIUMS are option tires, prime tires are SOFTS Minimum 13 laps per stint. A Minimum option tire usage (MEDIUMS) will be 28laps. You choose which compound you qualify with, but start the race with said tire compound.

Yeah, it was over half distance, so you'll get full points! Of course it's not very relative to the overall standings since next race at Indy is our last Sunday round of season 2. But you keep on with Monday night's racing and you have a good shot at winning the championship.

Speaking of which, the titles for 1st place in Sunday's series are finished with me and Zovo being the winners of GT1 and GTS respectively. 2nd place is still up for grabs though as the Indy finale is worth double points!

Track-Details-Suzuka.png

INTRODUCTION

Designed as a Honda test track in 1962 by Dutchman John Hugenholtz, Suzuka is one of few circuits in the world to have a "figure 8" layout, with the back straight passing over the front section by means of an overpass. The circuit can be used in three configurations; the full circuit (which we will use), the "Suzuka East" and "Suzuka West" configuration.

The main straight measures 1.2km in length with 20 unique turns including the almost flat out, challenging 130R followed by the 2nd gear Casio Triangle. Can you conquer the technical Suzuka and stand on the podium in the land of the rising sun?

RACE DETAILS

Room will open Monday at 7:00 pm eastern time, qualifying will begin ~hour of room open (provided enough entries). Qualifying settings will run FUEL CONSUMPTION/TIRE WEAR on "fast" while the Race settings will be run on "normal".

TIRE USAGE

Suzuka, being the first 'endurance event' in Monday's series, will have tire usage open. As long as 2 stints of each tire are used, with a minimum of 10 laps each stint.

This is why I suggested a Stage 2 turbo kit only. It doesn't affect top speed too much (2 mph on Mulsanne at most), and it gives you massive amts. of torque.

Sorry for missing yesterday. With the Daytona 500 on there was no way I was missing it. Plus I don't like Laguna Seca.
It would be nice to have Monday's points updated since we are starting round 4. :)

I have to get my taxes done today and take the wife to work after. I should be here by 4 to 4:30. I do want to race tonight.

Good, tonight is worth double points! With a good result here you can really jump up in the standings. I hope everyone has the opportunity to show up.

Mate, not sure I can make it today, need some much need sleep catch up, if I'm online I will participate,

Well, I hope you are there. It should be a fun one tonight. The earlier people join the room the sooner we can start the qualifying procedures of 'spec-checks'. Room will open in about 20 minutes. I'll post the # in a new post, in the first post, and in the race details post.

Ill add it up too. But I think youre right. We need alefin to update our points. I will have to see if he can still do it.

Next season I'll give you a hand with points and things if you want. If I knew what he does, I could do it for this season. 👍

Send him a message, he may show you what he does and you could take it over if he's too busy! I'll give you the details of the race and such if you end up doing the tables. Also, for everyone interested in running this again and trying to make it a better race experience, share your thoughts and questions on the season 3 thread here- https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=274853
