You're crazy. It balances out with weight added. The closer it gets to 50/50 the easier it is to tune.
Aye... but the kicker is that as it gets closer and closer to 50/50, the car gets again gets harder to tune for two reasons:
1. The added weight required to make the car 50/50 perfectly balances out the benefits of the 50/50 car, so now it becomes not only tight, but ass-end happy as well.
2. The car's straightaway speed is also nullified at severe ballasts, so a higher LSD is required, which will worsen the problem above.
I feel as if I'm stuck in limbo every time I slap a tune on the Esperante. I'm either too slow or I have big time wheelspin on the car. Usually the wheelspin on a car I can control, I can here as well, but this car is flat at high ballasts. I can't wait for next year when I drive a REAL Panoz.
Maybe I just fall flat with FR cars with bad weight ballast. I stick around in this damn thing because I know I am not only crazy enough to drive it, but I'm probably the only one that can pull an Esperante off other than you.
Anyways, I have to get ready for a 100 ballast at Nurburgring by Monday... May hell have mercy on my soul.
