I hate to say this, but my PS won't play my games. It's not reading anything. I'll be sending it in on Monday to be fixed. Please don't delete me. It only takes a couple of weeks. I'm going to go nuts without it during the week.

That's not good, hope it's back up and fixed before Sarthe! I know you're pretty good there and the Nissan should be sharp as well. You shouldn't miss but one round, hopefully.

I think the Panoz is a good car once you get the setup right. It's super fast, and has a really god top speed, seems the power doesn't give up.

I can never discredit the power of that monster. The car is a pain once over 1200kg. I just don't like cars that are only good on the straights. Fast? Yes. Turns? HE'LL no.

You're crazy. It balances out with weight added. The closer it gets to 50/50 the easier it is to tune.

Aye... but the kicker is that as it gets closer and closer to 50/50, the car gets again gets harder to tune for two reasons:

1. The added weight required to make the car 50/50 perfectly balances out the benefits of the 50/50 car, so now it becomes not only tight, but ass-end happy as well.

2. The car's straightaway speed is also nullified at severe ballasts, so a higher LSD is required, which will worsen the problem above.

I feel as if I'm stuck in limbo every time I slap a tune on the Esperante. I'm either too slow or I have big time wheelspin on the car. Usually the wheelspin on a car I can control, I can here as well, but this car is flat at high ballasts. I can't wait for next year when I drive a REAL Panoz.

Maybe I just fall flat with FR cars with bad weight ballast. I stick around in this damn thing because I know I am not only crazy enough to drive it, but I'm probably the only one that can pull an Esperante off other than you.

Anyways, I have to get ready for a 100 ballast at Nurburgring by Monday... May hell have mercy on my soul.

Try keeping the weight at 52/48. That helps with the loose rear.

That's what I do ;)

UPDATE: I got the Panoz to do 1'40.4 @ 570hp. I'm testing McLaren right now to see if they are equal...
McLaren's best is 1'40.6

Another Update: Seth, I have the flu today, and I was wondering if a replacement driver can take my place, or is that not possible?

Of course. It's replacing you, if they want to race on their own they start fresh, but they also don't score points for you.

Track-Details-Nurburgring.png

INTRODUCTION

The Nürburgring is a motorsports complex around the village of Nürburg, Germany. It is located about 70 km (43 mi) south of Cologne, and 120 km (75 mi) northwest of Frankfurt. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984 (where we race), and a much longer old "Northern loop" track which was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. The old track was nicknamed "The Green Hell" by Jackie Stewart, and is widely considered as the most demanding and difficult purpose-built racing circuit in the world.

The 'new course', or as it's been named GP-Strecke, was built in 1984 and is where we race today. With it's 16 turns and 630meter straight, top speeds only reach around 280kmh (174mph). The Nurburgring is a high-downforce, high-speed German classic. Who will stand at the top of their class in the new "Green Hell"?

Hi Guys, I would like to join your series. I am retiring from the Ferrari F10 series, I have been driving there for a while now.

I am hoping to drive the Lamborghini Nomad car, since the spot is free. Any open spots in the GT1 class?

I was also wondering if you can give me a little example on a pit strategy? just as I understand how it works.

GT1 is open as is GTS. You can join either! Just give your name PSN and GTP ID along with your car choice and time zone.

As far as pit strategies, they varry on how good your tire wear is. We always use soft and medium tires for each race. The only thing that varies is how much the tires are allowed to be used each race. The PRIME tire is allowed to be used for more laps than the OPTION. The compound of the OPTION tire is used less in the race. Depending on the track I decide which compound is the OPTION or PRIME tire.

I think we may have 2 already in the McLaren, but if not it's yours. If so please choose a 2nd car or GTS class car.

I will use the F1 Mclaren if the spot is open
Or I will drive the Nomad Lamborghini in GTS

I send you the strategy later, when I have tested

Don't worry about strategies. The next race is April 1st at La Sarthe 2005. Thats an endurance round so the tire usage will be open as long as you do 2 stints on both compounds and meet the 'minimum stint' per lap length

Is there space for a Mercedes in GT1
Yes, 1 spot unless TDZ Dave is racing. You will have to use another car, but usually he's not there.
Sorry for not racing last night, my little brother was watching DVDs on PS3 and I couldn't play GT5.
Don't worry bout it. Just try to be there next round ;)

Also, information on Season 3 is accumulating in the 'interest checks' section as well! We will be kicking that off mid-late May.

thats great!

Nice to have you here. This is a great series with a great group of driver's. Anthony drives the other R390, but he hasn't been here for a few races.

I know TDZ dave never shows up to anything much so I would be happy to drive the mercedes when tdz is not there.
