How exactly are they going to put SAFER barriers on a public road? Seriously people.
Movable systems as the same they use already on road courses.
Correction street courses.

Was it a heavy side impact?

It was very sudden and the car was going at full speed at the time of the incident. The state of the car suggests it was indeed very heavy, given that it was a side impact that even tore apart the rear bodywork. We'll have to wait for an official press release explaining the incident to draw conclusions.

ICEYOU.

This is run on normal public roads. They can't just put up a safer barrier.

Also, did you guys see the wind shield cleaner on the Aston pit stop? Another brilliant performance.

RIP Allan Simonsen

His tragic and surprising death has rendered the race result irrelevant. A dark cloud will remain over Le Mans regardless of how much the weather improves.

Safer barrier or not, they build tyre walls at the chicanes and at numerous other places at the track don't they? The fact it's public road doesn't make any difference. I'm sure they'll look at this and next year we will see more tyre walls.

Austin Martin built a new car in fact.

Like on the Circuit du Monaco.

Correct.

Heidfeld's Rebellion has got some damage to the front left of his car. I know he spun around at the enterance of the Mulsanne straight but where he got the damage from?

Prone how? The car is built to shred apart and discharge the energy through the wreck much more effectively than a sports car would.

Yes I know, that's what I'm highlighting mainly. The F1 cars rip to shreds and the GT cars just take one big blunt impact. The GT cars seem like behemoths as opposed to F1 cars.

Lapierre is now going faster than the Audi's on his magic no groove intermediate tyres that have been running on a mostly dry track since the tyres were put on!
