If the race stays green the rest of the way, can Montoya make it on one less stop than everyone else? He pitted at the end of lap 99.

But, there are several warm-up laps before the race starts. Can he possibly stretch it out to a five stop race? He just needs to make it 34 laps per stint from here to the end.

From Nate Ryan's twitter: At 100 laps, 2014 Indianapolis 500 race set record for average speed (211.871 mph), shattering previous mark of 177.687 last year. #indycar

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the significance of the flowers at turn 4?

Interesting question. What would be a factual answer?
If I was to hazard a guess, it might be to mark the amount of fatalities involving turn #4.

On the reccent replay from Will Power's on-board camera...

Remember, these are professional race car drivers. Do not try this at home. ;)

 Yeah like we've got an Indycar in the garage & our own speedway out in the backyard :odd:

JPM still has one less stop to make than everyone else. If it stays green, he could still win. I definitely would have taken a splash of fuel there, though, since he already had to come in.

JPM with a economy run then?
