I had fun after a bit, Got bronze first due to forgot to turn on one thing, Then I got silver though hitting like ever other wall. Then I got gold after doing, gas, brake, honk. Helped I think, or I just like the horn button.

Simply use a Suzuki SX4 '08 with my Ds3 easily win. 1:48. easily done even got mistakes.

GT for me turn into a time attack fun only game . :guilty:

because the AI isn't good enough, so to make it worth fight tot he wins PD made it like this. which is funny since the AI in the Expert seasonal are much quicker then offline AI once you pass them.

after all these years I am now a rally fan.i used a audi Quattro s1 15 annv 86,height both 125,f 8.00 r 9,00,com f 3 r 4,ext f4 r 3,roll f 3 r 3,brake 6 and 6,cam o and o,toe f 0.04 r0.20,tran set at 124 mph,diff f 30 40 30 r 12 15 12,torq 40:60,down force 150f 350 r.let me know if you find a better setting and i'll try it.you might try changing the field of cars,some are easier to beat.i'm grinding now ,won maybe 6 times so far.good luck!

Used Lancia Delta Rally Car at 500pp, tried a couple times to get first, then stopped caring due to lack of motivation. I'll try again today.

For some reason I have been really determined to put my Honda Fit RS to work on this one. I like this car as once tuned it drives nicely.

But trying to turn it into a rally car has proven quite the challenge. Despite my rudimentary tuning skills, I've managed to successively shave off seconds. I'm now down to a 6:38 total time or about 1:58 per lap.

Anyone have tips to make this one work? I WILL get gold with this car! :D

--------

Ahhhhhh!!!! So close!

Down to 6:33 now, ~1:56 per lap. You can do it, little Fit!

--------

Apologies for the triple-post.

Ok, so best I can do for now is a 6:30 at about 1:55 per lap. Gives you 3rd place.

I really believe the Fit can do it, but it would require excellent driving skills. I think I have the right tune (sorta), just need to adjust my line.

So the tune is:

Height 85/85
Springs 3.8/6.7
Dampers all 3/3
A-R Bars 1/1
Camber .5/1
Toe -1/+1
Brakes 1/10

Trans at 160 top speed, 6th gear to 1.15

LSD 5/60/5

Since this is an FF car, understeer is a problem. So what's done here might make it counter-intuitive, but you turn by blasting the throttle. For most turns, you'll do some light braking into full gas to take the corner at high speed and not be overrun by understeer.

The most problematic corner is the last one as it easily makes you understeer. Getting the right line can shave off a lot of time. I don't have it quite right yet, but it's getting better.

Any suggestions appreciated! :D

Just some (general) thoughts on FFs :

I'm a decidedly 'amateur' tuner but I've done a few FFs over the years (not normally off-road though).

I'm guessing most of your understeer comes when applying the power.

Firstly I'd look at the diff and bring it more 8-10/15-20/5-7. There are differing opinions but I tend to find that once accell gets high it spins up the outside tyre (go test at Tsukuba or similar to check, use comfort hard/med tyres).

Toe seems extreme: -1 up front doesn't help your mid-exit (probably doesn't help anything!) and +1 rear could reduce your entry rotation. A slight -ve rear toe can help rotation on FF cars but can cause instability.

Don't know the Fit height range but make sure your ride height is not too low and you are bottoming out on the jumps.

Ballast can be your friend (no mention in your post). To improve acceleration out of the corner a 60/40 weight distribution puts weight over the drive wheels but you need to balance this against driving technique and entry understeer. A more neutral (50/50) or even rear bias might help with sliding the back end round. Horses for courses but I tend to prefer a forward bias weight distribution in FFs.

Also turning up the rear compression and front extension dampers help slow the weight shifting back as you accelerate and keep help reduce wheelspin.

You could be losing time with inefficient braking - it seems like your technique is to whack the back end round under braking. Remember all the weight shifts forward under brakes: closing up the brake bias (maybe 4/6) will give the fronts some bite, and then you can use a nip of the handbrake at the tighter corners. You can hold the handbrake and accelerate at the same time to create a drift at a tight hairpin.

Good luck 👍

EDIT: I see you've made some changes while I was typing!

In a Suzuki SX4, this event becomes a fun, lucrative grinder against any opposition. But once you pass them, they seem to speed up. I got down to a 6 minute flat total time, but the RSC Rally Raid and Quattro would get down to 6:08/6:09.

THIS !!!! :banghead: full stock corolla rally car , was hard to take the 2nd place with good overall level and some nice fight , but one 🤬 who ( i suuuuuppose... ) got a , like 100 , or 150 extra Hp manage to keep distance between you and the rest of the cars ... typical GT race with AI :yuck:
I know i really bad on dirt race cause i hate them , but come one there is always one faster car , every time you fight with just 1 pro , and 10 or 14 rookie ... that feeling i had right now ! 🤬
I really thing that this kind of race , starting from the back with the need to overtake everyone is , the summum of ******** ! I can't , do not want , see this anymore in a simulation " oriented " game ... never feel that bored about all of weird GT license choice :nervous:
GT for me turn into a time attack fun only game . :guilty:
Use Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Rally Car Tune with my tune i drive the track in 6.13.xxx

Thanks for the tips!

Yeah, I put toe at something like +.2/-.35 as I recall and I found that ok. Will need to find proper balance between corner entry and exit grip.

I'm keeping LSD Accel at max for now because that's the only way to make this car turn. You literally turn better by putting on the gas.

Anyway, I'll be applying some of that stuff later. Hopefully it lets me break 1:52 and that should net me gold.

I'm an idiot. Totally misunderstood toe angle. Changed quite a few things in my tune.

Down to 1:53 lap times and 6:24 overall. The Fit can do it.

Another hint that may help. The Fit is an FF car. The majority of the weight is on the front wheels so by reducing spring pressure in the front, you are iinducing front end dive during turning and braking...

Nice. Definite improvement. I'm not running faster laps yet, but it's easier to hit low 1:53s. Much thanks.

Now I just need to alien-up my driving skills and I think I'll hit 1:52.

Finally, I Did it!!! Used the Quattro S1 Rally Car '86 and was trying and trying but only getting 2nd. :odd: I looked at my drive options settings and my ABS is at 2 :banghead: WTF! Put it to 0 and Bingo 💡 easy win. :D  Now to try other Rally Cars, this was fun like the snow one 👍

Blah, 1:53.174 lap time is the best I can do no matter what. Will get back to it.

In the meantime, went with a Celica GT-Four rally car and golded it easily with some tuning. I felt dirty afterwards after all the work on the Fit.

Looking for odd cars to make this fun and this seemed like a good one to get out the way. Never driven this before. Probably never will again. Some mild amusement though. Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe Dynamic '13:

So i wanted to see how fast i could push myself and the rabbit, Audi S1, searched for a nice lightweight rallycar close to the 500pp and under 1000kg.
Ended up with the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Rally Car '85 and reduced pp with adding 45kg@-50
did two races, first one was a real mess. second one much better.
