A lot of fun throwing around an old, 572 PP, aerodynamically-challenged rally car with mud flaps that can beat the supercars of today!

I hate this circuit, so the toaster was my weapon of choice. TC = 0, SRF = ON, DS3 on Auto. No corner cutting, I don't do that crap.

Yes! I found the 2J to be excellent in this race, much better than I expected. I even used the same tune from the Midfield race a while back.

Funny to see you call it the Toaster. I always refer to it as the Fridge. I guess it's just like a dependable kitchen utensil.

Silverstone isn't my favorite one, especially when I encountered the FXX the first time I tried this event.
I picked the beautiful Corvette Z06 (C6) LM Race Car. Made some silly mistakes when battling with a McLaren F1.
Then two Veyrons were the best in the field but they were no match, I caught the twins during third lap and made a safe trip to the finish line.

👍 S4 It might even win when driving on the grass right next to the track.

I used my Subaru Viziv Gt Vision car to do double duty..after winning this race with( no fxx in the field) it I slapped dirt tires on it to win the intermediate dirt race

Saw the P1 AI go off at turn 16 today. The left into the Club Complex after Vale. I'm in the Nissan LMP2. Haven't seen them make any mistakes in this event yet, and I've ran it probably 30 times.

Not my favorite track. Way too wide and if you take a different line than the AI they wind up colliding with you coming out of a corner.

Also, probably already mentioned, but why non-race car AI for a race car event? Nevertheless...

Was getting killed by at least 10 seconds (don't recall the leader) with the HSV, the 2D and the closest I got was a silver with the Zytek. Wound up winning by 10 seconds with the TS030. Over and done with.

Ah, another event that reveals how bad the PP values of cars are at predicting their lapping capability. Case in point: my first attempt at this race was with the Nissan GT-R GT3 Base Model. Got annihilated by the FXX. Decided to try the TS030 and was around 11 seconds faster a lap. Combined with the fact that I got the Veyron as the rabbit, the race went from (nearly) impossible to incredibly easy.

This kind of disparity in difficulty is incredibly annoying and a large part of it comes from the fact that the PP rating of the race really doesn’t tell you what car to use. The GT-R GT3 and the TS030 are in totally different performance categories, but their PP ratings say they’re not. I really hope they fix this in GT7. Balance of performance in real racing is a challenge for race organizers, but this is a game, and they can test the cars to see how fast they are. They should know the TS030 with its power turned down a bit is enormously faster than a typical 600 PP race car.

(The unpredictable rabbits don’t help, either, since there’s basically two different versions of this event you can be randomly assigned. But they could tune the difficulty of the event better if they could better predict the performance of the car the player will be bringing to the event.)

The TS030 seems to rotate better without SRF...and seems to be equally as good at beating the FXX without driver aids as with them, IF you can control the wheelspin when hybrid mode engages. It's easy to lose the hybrid power thru the wheelspin.
For what it's worth, the real car runs traction control for precisely this reason. :) (Actually, I believe all the LMP1 hybrids run TC due to the unpredictable power delivery when the hybrid system engages.)

Use the 2J. It's perfect for a flat track like this. You'll win by at least 30 seconds every time. However, against the FXX,you have to have a pretty error-free drive. As long as you do that you'll still beat by 5 or 10 seconds. I'm not a great driver, so you guys shoul do even better. I typically finish right around 9 minutes.

This track is easy money if you need it. Almost 500K for first place. Hope this helps!

Took the R8 LMS which you get as a price car somewhere in the game. Raced it completely stock and finished at 10:48... which was 5 seconds faster than the #2, a Corvette. No FXX, Veyron or Huayra.

Ran a few times since it was good for money and found that the Huarya and FXX seem to be the tougher of the rabbits by far. If you just need to win it, go until you see the Veyron or preferably the MP4 Mclaren and neither of the other ones. I was able to beat it handily with the 2J, Toyota TS030, and a HSV. One race with a 25 second lead on the leader. I'm no time trial leader by a long shot so it can be done with a decent run.

The Toyota seemed to get the best time for me, but that might just be my driving style for the track or luck.

There is one field that is significantly slower than the Veyron rabbit field. If you want an easy win, look for the field with a Ford GT on the pole..... It is insanely slow compared to the other rabbits! I have probably race this seasonal 100 times and have only come across the Ford GT rabbit field one time. Has anyone else had the Ford GT as the rabbit?

Wow, that one's even slower than the Corvette rabbit I had. These slow fields seem to be extremely rare, but they happen from time to time.

Yep, I've had it once, and proceeded to run the race 7 times with that field to rack up the credits! Haven't seen it again, though...

I had never lost this one until yesterday. Zytek was good enough for Veyrons but yesterday FXX appeared for the first time along with Mclaren F1. I was 20 secs down on Lap 5 with F1 in my sight but due to driver error i ended up 3rd. Boy! FXX is something.

I won against the FXX with the Loctite, Takata and McLaren, posted video with the McLaren but it was super hard with all three against the FXX. No clue as to why the FXX was so fast.

Just before this events ends, and I needed some easy credits, so driving the Toyota Hybrid Thing.

It made the freaky FXX nervous like a rabbit : )
