Thanks, yeah it's in the past. Better motor went in. But I guess what I was thinking, or getting at was that sometimes the limiter isn't going to save the motor.

I agree and understood what you said the first time but in my life lady luck has been on my side for the last 32 years of racing and 14 years as a racing instructor. I cannot recall ever missing a shift and blowing a motor.

@WhoosierGirl I don't know what else I can say... You're continued success in the least expected vehicles is inspiring and frightening at the same time!

@skeagracing I know exactly how you feel about the adrenaline rush and excitement that can be had during GT6 events. I also catch myself, at times, holding my breath and have to remind myself "breathe, you idiot!" when I'm in particularly tight situations. I'm not the fastest driver in here, so I'm usually in neck and neck battles during events like this one and that just adds to the incredible sensation I get while driving. I've driven around an old oval racetrack at fairly high speeds years ago, but I've never actually raced anyone on a real track. I can just imagine how awesome that rush must be, along with the terror you feel when pushing the vehicle to its limit. May you continue to have success on the real race tracks as well as the virtual! 👍

Ok, I'll bite. Is there a reason your posting all the one's I already did Cargo? Is there a point this? Seems rather obvious your singling out the ones I did and attempting to make some form of statement or point.

My wish for all of us in the GT Planet. When the green flag drops and everybody revs up the their engine you have to shift instinctively because you cannot even hear the sound of your own engine. I wish that someday in virtual racing we get to live that. Thank you for all your insightful questions.

No, not at all. I wasn't aware there was a rule where I couldn't try out the cars for myself that you already tried and post my own times with them. No statement or point implied. I guess I could say the same to you though with your times with the Mustang SVT and Pontiac LeMans GTO. Again, sorry if you think there is something more to this, but there just isn't. :)

Nope, not playing leapfrog either. I had these done a few days ago, just now able to get them posted a few at a time. :)

ALB123, you're plenty fast...
I do alright. I usually can manage Gold's in the seasonals, but it wasn't so long ago that I couldn't always manage Gold times and some are still a bit of a struggle. The comment I made to skeagracing was "I'm not the fastest driver in here...", meaning these Seasonal Event threads. I compare my times to many regular posters in these Seasonal Event threads and I'm not even in the same ballpark as they are. I keep trying though!! 👍

I decided to upload a video of a lap with the Corvette C7 Stingray, really fun car to drive, it sound good and its well balanced :) it could been better but the A.I. really make it difficult to keep momentum!

I will add the tune tomorrow in case anyone is interested, even though its basic and i didnt spent much time working on it... i added a slight amount of ballast to make it turn more.

Yes, please do! I'm always interested in seeing different ways that people tune their cars. 👍

Made a few mistakes with the Mercedes SLS AMG '10 (due mainly to the AI bunching up around Brunnchen and Eiskurve), but finished in first with a lap time of 7:15.544. This car is very fast and stable, with lots of grip and good brakes. Below is the setup I've used to win:

- installed a tail, weight reduction stage 3, triple-plate clutch, carbon drive shaft, full custom tranny, full custom suspension, race brakes

- Ride height (F/R): 80/80
- Spring rate (F/R): 10.50/13.50
- Dampers compression (F/R): 3/3
- Dampers extension (F/R): 5/5
- Anti-roll bars (F/R): 3/3
- Camber (F/R): 0/0
- Toe angle (F/R): 0.00/0.50
- Brake balance (F/R): 4/4
- Tranny: set max speed to 330km/h
- Power limiter: 80.0%
- Downforce: 205 (minimum setting)

Seeing as I watch the AI crashing the Special almost every race, figured I would try it, I see why they crash it, lol.
Made one corner and had to stop and raise the front and drop the rear to help it turn, still don't turn without the gas pedal helping it.

A few more and probably the last.

I also tried the Nardo again, finaly found a decent car lineup but i was out of time and only had one attempt, still improved to 6:37.177

i will post the tune tonight for this one and the corvette.

I tried this last night, and normally lead within first 2/3 laps on the 5 lap events (when only after the easy gold that is) but I just couldn't get this at all. I'm not a Nurburgring fan so I thought my pace was the issue. I used the Rocket and F430 Scuderia, but both times I could only manage a distant second. Lap time was around 7:13.xxx for each though, just lucked out on AI cars it seems.

Glad to see a lot of people enjoying the challenge though rather than giving up when the win isn't a walkover!

May give this another go tonight if I have the chance, only I get really annoyed at the minute long wait to reach the start line...

Finally won with the Mclaren MP4. This was tough. The Mclaren is a fun car to drive as well. :)

Yeah the minute parade lap gets old...

I might have to try out this Nardo. Looking forward to your tune Mike. Great lap BTW! Nice AI dodging!

Bravo!!! Thank you for the setup!!

Decided to give this a go today, smashed it easily in a GSX-R/4 by 2 secs, the car was great through the corners but that C7 caught me on the straight. Great seasonal, we need more like this.

I've only won this once, with the ZZll. I just seem to have hit a block...3 to 7 seconds behind 1st place and no better. Sub 7 minute laps? Sheesh. I havent tried the SLS, I'm going to give it a shot!

I hear ya. I've managed 3 wins, 2 legit & 1 dirty, and both legit wins were with the ZZII. Stole one from the One-77 by slamming it off the road on the final corner before the finish in an mp4-12c. Best time was 7:13 in ZZII, though I did run a 7:07 in a Camaro SS '00... for 2nd place. Everyone else seemed to prefer the GT-R BE for the "easy" win, but I couldn't break 3rd with it.

Sad to see this seasonal go, same with the Deep Forest RC as well! These need to become permanent, even if the credits are taken away. I'd run them for "free".

Completely agree. PD could add these events to the Career Mode easily enough. It's just data files defining the parameters. I would love to see this event before a permanent S Class event. I think it's too challenging to put in any lower license class, as if you can't "win" the event you won't get all the Gold Stars to complete the license class, which is one of the goals in Career Mode.

Anyway, the ZZII is a great car for this event. Definitely. I've been running this event and the Deep Forest Intermediate Level event all day. I'll miss these two. Very fun to try out different cars.

I agree. 👍 So far I have tested out and won with over 50 different cars. When I started, I was down to around 15,000,000 credits, now I'm almost at the limit with a little over 48,000,000. When I reach the limit, that will end my participation as I am about to my limit of cars that I wish to test anyway. Plus, I'm going to be moving again here in the next week anyway so I will be offline for awhile until I get settled in my new place.
