made it relative easy with the second try (probably AI bit weaker) lap time 7.17
the most annoying part is, if you hit someone he gets instant boost (and tbh unfair). and can cost you alot of time (challenging with him)
now want to give a try with Pescarolo C60, but probably will fail. 2X is too imba imo.

ok tried, not worth it. those bumps/ramps... probably can win but i don't see the point. and maybe tune is not suitable for this track. but in general car feels good, just a lot of side factors summ up. (some car ramming you, or mistake can cost you the lap, and this is 3-7 minutes... thats the problem with long tracks (for me))

There is a possibility that you could gain time by nudging the AI so that they boost - and you then follow benefiting from their slipstream. I wouldn't do this near the end of the lap but I would at the start. I accidentally nudged the 11th placed R8, he took off, I kept near to get the slipstream and found that I was a whole second ahead of my usual time at the next time split. Just a thought....
 
Yeah I couldnt really get the draFt like that. But forgot which car. I tapped them and they paced me to past 225mph.

What gets me is the hill crests 1 and 3. You have to almost fly though them. We'd be so Mark Webber it's ridiculous. If you were driving for real it'd be over. And you have to drive that way.

Think I'd like the idea of more normal car here. Don't get me wrong I like to exercise the Jedi skills but..... At the same time this doesn't even promote safe driving.

Gave the Pescarolo C60 Hybrid - Judd '05 a try. Got my fastest lap using it, 7:06.973 with elapsed time of 7:33.656.

Started with Praiano tune, then tweaked it to this.

Ride height 45, 60
Spring rate 16.85, 19.00
Dampers C 7, 7
Dampers E 7,7
Anti-Roll 5,5
Camber and Toe all 0
Brake Balance 6, 7
Trans. changed final to 2.885
LSD 5,7,8
Low RPM Turbo
Downforce 600, 825
Ballast 9 kg at -50
 
Finally got gold! It is not for the prize, it's all about the challenge. This is my pass for second.

It took a few tries but I finally managed to win (beating the Pescarolo C60 rabbit) using only ABS 1 with my trusty MINOLTA Toyota. I think I will give a few others a try to see how many can win without aids.

This is the setup I used. (I started with Praiano's setup but made several changes, mostly to compensate for no traction control).

I added a low RPM Turbo and reduced power level to 99.2% to get 700pp. (no oil change, how you get to 700pp is not critical IMO)


Normally I dont write/comment. But this setup caught me its cant be done so Ive tried and won very easily Circuito de la Sierra. Very surprise how ease this car ran. Excellent setup and for damn sure it more than 10 stars as rating. Its fit my style racing. I cant speak for others. Thanks...
 
For anyone who has the ability for this track, I have been told that this car is capable of winning this event.

I used this tune, and got 6th on my second try with a 7:35 (8:01 total time, DS3), with plenty of mistakes left to clean up. One thing I noticed was that the gear suggestions are almost meaningless here, and not timed very well at all. However, those jumps are actually manageable with this setup, and I've never felt as comfortable in the hybride as I have with this tune.

Time is pretty hard to come by right now, but I will try and set aside an hour later tonight to clear this one up.

They might not be timed well for a MT user. I use AT transmission so I don't really time it per se., I set it to minimise wheel spin and allow a gradual increase in speed as the amount of torque in this car is humongous.
 
Was a fun event to win once (not running it again). Twice finished 2nd after beeing in front (AI punted me off track). Had to block for the last 45 seconds like crazy. Setup is from Shaunm80 from a few seasonals ago (only mod is camber at 0). I think i got lucky on my lineup.

Ah, yeah I was a bit too nebulous there, I meant that the on-track gear suggestions are meaningless, not the gear ratios for the tune. The gearing was pretty good for me, I do use MT, but it's all relative- because on a DS3, my throttle and braking are both more jerky and sudden than would be possible on a wheel/pedal setup.
 
Has anyone experienced random camera spots right before the race begin like these? View media item 5707 They are different each time you reenter the event. :D

Mine starting working after I re-entered from adding turbos. Probably the third time and third different spot. It was stuck at #2 road marker (green sign) on this last one and after a restart I had AI on my cut screen. Keep working till I exited after winning.

Best I could do was 4th in the Minolta. Darn Toyota 7 blocked me on the last corner but I still got a pretty decent amount of money.

I not a "tuner" but sometimes I need to modify an existing setup so the car works for me using only ABS.

An easy way for others to see that the setup was helpful is to "like" the post. I could put it in the tuning data base if I get a few "likes" to confirm the setup was helpful.
 
Did 7:36 total time with the Minolta 88 CV. 920HP 850KG. I even had a half spin. Imo its the best car for this track Ive tried. Could go into the 7:29 range probably. Drives so good.
 
FINALLY!!! I beat the AI!!!

ONLY WIN for 0.051 sec, pass the C9 and C60 at the final staight line.

But I set the final gear a little bit higher, maybe 2.880?

I spin two times (both got crush by Bentley Speed 8:banghead:) at begining but still finish first.

At the begining, I can always finish race in 7:4X with Mazda LM55 and 787B.

But no matter how fast I go, the AI always finish the race in 7:3X.


Guess Mazda not only push me to limit, but AI. :D
 
2X is still amazingly fast around the circuit despite the fact every other corner is usually best with trail braking!
Tempted to try it in the Deltawing now <3
Prize car is interesting, works well against other tuned cars
