I think so too. I have the Audi limited to the 600pp this event allows. I would like to lower it more but given I can't shake him from my tail after I pass and winning by such a small margin, I'm afraid that I will lose. I use the analog sticks on the controller and I realize it's quite a bit slower than a wheel but I've been playing the Gran Turismo series games since the late 90's and feel comfortable with the sticks lol.
Damn man... xD sigh, lack of experience really makes me a slow driver :/ but sticks? thats impressive to me

Believe me, a wheel is way faster but I can lay down some pretty quick lap times with the sticks. It's hard to compete online with people who have full setups though.

yeah. i imagine but whats a full setup? a cockpit and wheels?

Wheel, pedals etc.

I ran this race 9 times today, 3 times each with the Xanavi Nismo Z, the Nissan Z GT500 Base Model and the Honda HSV Base Model. 9 wins from 9 :D

I've had the Ford GT LM, Zonda LM, McLaren F1, Viper(Team Oreca I think) and the Nissan GT LM Proto as lead rabbits. I was doing consistant low 1:44s with the Zs and mid to high 1:43s with the HSV. Winning margin has been between 0.5 and 1.5 seconds.

If anyone is interested the tunes are available in my garage(Link is in the signature.) The Nissans are pretty safe easy cars to use as they were tuned for RH tyres, the HSV was done for RS and is a little more lively on the harder compound, faster for sure but needs a little more care at times.

Hope you're all having fun with this race guys, it's been by miles my favourite seasonal A-Spec race so far(and pretty lucrative too).👍

I'll be running this race a lot until we get thrown back to Willow Springs next week:lol:

damn man. thats nice... i can only get high 1:46 with the raybirgh honda

Do you think an automatic trans. is any slower than a manual? I have been running AT since the start of playing GT & would be very hard to change now to MT.

Thanks man. I'd call it home track advantage, I've done many, many thousands of miles at GVS over the years and use it as my primary test track. It certainly isn't because I'm a great driver.;)

Keep practicing and I'm sure you can knock off some more time:tup:

Have you used the racing line at all? It's a great tool to help learn a track better. Back when I started playing the GT series that's how I learned most of the tracks. I would do free runs with the line on until I got to know the lines then switched if off and drove the track for hours trying to beat my ghost. There is nothing better than a lot of track time to knock down the lap times.👍

ehhh i tend to focus on the road when i have racing line on. so i turn it off and learned to look at the landmarks around the track to figure out braking points and turning points

Even better:tup: That's the way to do it, find yourself some good markers like that and that's half the battle my friend.

Thank you!! It's the TV but I just got it so for now I am stuck with it unless you have a suggestion for a fix??

If its your TV, then it seems to be a color or tint issue. Is it a new TV or used? Have you tried playing with any of the adjustments as far as color, tint, ect. I mean, if it don't bother you being like that, then just go with it. 👍 I was just commenting that it was just something I've noticed with all your videos.....no harm intended. 👍

I have great respect for your opinion as I have been reading your post for a long time and I will look at all that. Yes it is a new TV so I need to do what you just said and see if I can improve the quality of the videos that I post.

I keep running this race over and over, I have used, the 2J, McLaren F1 race car, HSV, T030, Castrol Supra, then I got board so took a big step down and used the Apexi MR2 at 560PP, took a lot of concentration and bang on laps but won with that as well.

If it is a new TV then, it should have come pre adjusted from the factory to have a better picture than that. :odd: At any rate, go ahead and play with the settings that I mentioned and see if that helps. A lot of todays new TV's come with factory picture presets such as gaming, cinema, vivid, ect so you could try those as well if your TV has them. Also, thanks for the compliment...I feel I could learn a lot from you as well with you being a racing/driving instructor. 👍

Just wondering if anyone has won this event with the Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo? Tried adjusting and running this car on this track (free mode), but it seems tail-happy. I'll try and add some ballast to the front to see if it helps, but wondering on the community's experience with this car on this seasonal...

I will try all of that as I just won with the 302 in London. If I just double posted please let me know as I don't want to do that. Got a warning on that.

Buick Special in P1, MB SL in P2, Lexus LFA in P3 PP547. Ford Mustang PP500 HP 297. Laps of 0.58 Winning Margin 00.136. Cockpit View. The best part of the race was when the devil made me dump the Lexus LFA. I did not have to do it to win the race as you can see but dump the Lexus I did and I loved doing it!!
