This seasonal is certainly different. The AI drive like they are drunk, and if that isn't bad enough, the person responsible for the pictured below standings graphic must be completely wasted!

The Honda S2000 LM Race Car at 550pp gives a fun race. It's beat the Zonda LM, Ford Spec II, and Ford GT LM so far. Should get 1:21s with a decent set-up.

Nice, but not my style to hit or bulldoze my way through the AI.....I would have went for the outside move. :P Which, incidentally, I pulled off in a very similar situation just yesterday at Laguna. Wish I had a way to record my races as I have a lot of cool overtakes and near misses. Cool pictures though. 👍

Happy Holidays

Looking for something different in slaying the mighty TS030 Hybrid? Try the Jaguar XJ13 '66.... It's really, really fast!

Nice color on that Jag, one of my favorites of the colorshift's. I was also thinking of tuning and using that car for this event. I know its overkill, but right now I'm just using these events as an opportunity to tune and test some cars for my upcoming garage. I only add non-power parts in my tuning and hardly use cars over the PP limit unless they are not too far over. I call my style of tuning N.P.U.T., short for No Power Upgrade Tuning. :) I really don't like using power upgrades unless I have too, to meet a specific PP limit for an event, such as the TT's. N.P.U.T. is going to be the majority of my garage with a few TT tunes thrown in.

Happy Holidays

So, the moral of the story is to plow your way in between two cars. Push one off the track before the turn and push the outside car off the other side of the corner...

Yeah there is no time to waste if David is in the TS030 you need to drive like Goliath :D Happy Holidays

Edit : Sorry CargoRatt i clicked the wrong reply button

I think the Toyota Hybrid is the fastest by a long way.

You may be right. In fact, you might be right, or very possibly could be right if we find no other faster Rabbit.
In which case this proves that:

(A) The fastest field is not the one that is presented first - for all players.

Or:

(B) The presentation is random from Seasonals to Seasonals.

Or:

(C) The fastest field was the one presented - in which case the Toyota Hybrid is a red herring.

Only time and testing will tell.

I got the 7:20 TS030 rabbit on the second time I tried this one.

Have been racing on most of my cars around 600pp... Just for the heck of it raced in the '39 Audi Auto Union... Who woulda thought could beat it with a 75 year old car. Not against the Hybrid, but hey!!! Also the 330 P4 Ferrari will kill this track... Haven't raced Laguna in a while, but put hours and hours on this track in GT5 and know it well:gtpflag: Love old classic cars!!!:D

Light cars with not too short or too long a wheelbase seem to do rather well on this track. 1200 kilograms seems to be the cutoff point for real loss of time...

McLaren F1 Race Car Base Model '95 519HP Power-To Weight Ratio 2.02 kg/HP. PP600. No Aids. Tune Transmission Only 2.700. P1 Pagani Zonda. P2 McLaren F1. P3 Toyota TS030. Total Time 7:27. Fast Laps 1:20. Won Over The TS030 By .732. Thank You To Alex Zanardi For His Pass At The Corkscrew. Could Not Have Done It Without Remembering Your Pass So Many Years Ago.

The first "two times" that I ran this race with the McLaren the Toyota punted me at the corkscrew so the third time I timed my pass to the corkscrew for the pay back. I could have won without punting the Toyota but I thought of Alex Zanardi as I was approaching the corkscrew and the rest is history.

The Denso Lexus became my favorite car ingame even more fun than the HSV.
And so beautiful. Great control with a 1:18:8xx at a peak lap, working on improvement.

Does someone of you got a good setup for the Viper and the Corvette ?
I just can´t squeeze any kind of good laptime out of them.

The field you are given is much dependent on the car you enter with. I think it is mostly calculated by your cars stock PP and PTWR.

Something else is strange and unexplained when using certain cars racing against the TS030 Hybrid. For example, I tried using the Z06 Corvette race car numerous times against the Hybrid and had times around 7:24 but could never win, yet I won with about 10 other cars against the Hybrid with slower times? The Hybrid would almost always screw up on one turn when I was racing those "other" 10 cars, allowing me to win, but against the Z06 Corvette, the Hybrid NEVER screwed up! LOL.... The Hybrid refuses to lose to a Z06 Corvette!

Same with me as I gave up on that one for the same reason. With me no matter what lap times I ran with the Corvette the TS030 just ran faster. I believe it's programed to win against the Corvette no matter what you run for a lap time. I ran 4 of the five laps at 1:20/1:21 and could not win.In my humble opinion the problem is much bigger than that if you get my drift.

Go figure.... I just won with the Z06 against the Hybrid! I'm more confused than ever now! Maybe the Hybrid refuses to lose to the Z06 only on certain days and/or times of the day? LOL.... You better hurry up and race against the Hybrid while he's slacking off today!

LOL........................!!!!! Way too funny. I will have to give it a shot before they run out. Thank you!!! It would have to be agains the same lineup that is for sure and that could take days...LOL!!! When I last went for it the Toyota was running 7:23.

I just had my first go in the Z06 against the TS030 and won in a fairly straight forward fashion catching him on the last few corners after the corkscrew....

:D
First try, huh? Man do I hate you! :D Where were you days ago when skeagracing and myself were pulling out our hair trying to do what we thought was the impossible? :D

If only I could remember the other car that the Hybrid seemed to never want to lose to, then we could debunk that ridiculous theory as well! https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/goto/post?id=10313941#post-10313941

But.... Have any of you lapped a car before the corkscrew? My Audi R18 TDI passed the pathetically slow Dodge Challenger R/T at the corkscrew.... Although I'm wondering if the driver of the Challenger gave up on the race and decided to park his car and take a leak up over there by the tire barriers!

When I am driving the TS030 Hybrid '12 against the other TS030 Hybrid driven by A. David, he always makes mistakes if you push him to hard and it seems David can not get a time under 7 minutes anything just over 7 minutes he stay on the track.

Really enjoying this event, especially the nice track and numerous car options! Have claimed victories using the following cars:

Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth
total time of 7:42.633, best lap of 1:23.837. Edged out the Citroen Race car by 0.803s.

Chapparal 2J
total time of 7:18.900, best lap of 1:18.409. Beat A. David in the TS030 Hybrid by 1.173s.

Nissan Xanavi Nismo GT-R '03
total time of 7:43.050, best lap of 1:24.076. Edged out the McLaren F1 GTR-BMW by 0.712s.

Toyota au Cerumo Supra
total time of 7:44.XXX, best lap of 1:24.072. Edged out the Ford GT LM spec II by 0.809s.

Will have to try the Raybrig NSX and Honda HSV (among others), to take first place...

Unrelated (and pure speculation), but maybe this is the reason the TS030 won't let the Corvette win:
