This race is hard. Not only did I use the 2J, I had to use the shortcut that's roughy around the 3rd corner. Instead of taking the hard right you cut through the field in front of you and cut off that whole right side. I don't know how you guys can't do it without cheating!

I stay on the track the whole time with no short cuts, and I still won the race well over 20 seconds using the Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo.

I used the Mazda tune posted earlier and won very easily without any shortcuts or shenanigans. For my driving style the posted Mazda tune understeered a bit much so I increased front downforce and lowered rear downforce a touch. I also tweaked initial and acceleration lsd settings a touch.

The provided tune is awesome, just with the way I drive I had to tweak it.

I found it fairly simple, I used the Audi R10 tuned, I stayed on track the entire time and won by 11 seconds.

I.am struggling with this race. I can get 3rd using the LM55 made. I used a tunes off this thread but I feel the car does not have the turning lock ot needs. When you turn in its great but it seams to not turn enough. What should I adjust to cure my little issue. In the long bends it runs a little wide

If the car is pushing making it go wide I adjust downforce and diff in the Mazda.

If it's just going wide because of your racing line you might want to try a late apex. I take late apex at nearly every turn here. I also simulate left foot braking and trailbraking on my ds3 controller.

Taking a late apex can help a lot if you are running wide, and generally you will get faster lap times and higher speeds on the straights.

That's just how I do it, others may have better advice

I will try that out. So fast in aiming higher around the band the fast out. Getting later apex at the same time. Thx for the visual help. I will try again soon.

Great aid to late apex. Perfect!

After reading your post I decided to try and win without using the shortcut in Mazda LM55. That car is AWESOME! It's at least as fast as the 2J and handles way better. I won first place on my first try by 10 seconds. I didn't even drive very well and yet I still crushed the computer.

Thanks for introducing me to the Mazda. I have a new favorite car:-)

After a collision on my first try and ending up with a Silver, I ran it again with the Mazda and finished with a Gold running laps in the 1.47 range. I switched to the C60 and was able to beat my time by running in the 1.46 second range. Hitting your apex's and avoiding the "brake checks" is key. The AI drivers always brake early so passing near a brake zone get's you far ahead of the back markers. Fun race.

I'm running no camber on my 2j and the front is set 5 higher than the rear. Doesn't really understeer anymore for me.

So far I've won with the 2J, the LM55 and Peugeot 905, trying 2 or 3 tunes on each as I've searched for consistency at Silverstone. I've settled on the 905 as the easiest runner for me, with outstanding combination of outright speed and easy cornering. I used both the Motor City and Priano setups, with a Low RPM turbo, rebuilt engine, 98.9% PL, 5 kg ballast and 211 mph autoset auto trans. Now it's routine to take the lead on the 4th lap.

Took a couple of tries but got there fairly easily with the Pescarolo C60 Hybrid. Just had to keep it clean and not panic.

I nailed it now with adjusting my style. Ran 1.47 pretty consistently throughout the race. I really like the LM55 Made alot

What he said.

I ran this event for the first time today with the BMW V12 LMR, first try I ended up 4th place. Re-ran it with 3 1:47 laps, took 1st place before lap 5.

I've been doing some grinding here, and lately I'm getting the best lap times with the 787b stealth model and the best Mercedes lmp car with premium interior. The Mercedes is a lot of fun at this track.

I put all of my 650+PP cars in the Stockyard. Boy, I hate that 500 car limit. Anyway, now that I've done the race twice with the Mazda LM55 I'll have to try some other cars. I prefer detailed interiors, so that Mercedes Sauber C9 looks like a good candidate. Thanks for reminding me about that car, @skeagracing.

I would adjust the transmission so that you read line at the end of “Stowe” the longest straightaway @ALB123.

I've tried this a few times with Praiano's tune for the LM55. I'm able to get as high as 4th (5 seconds) back of the leader. There are a few sections that I need to clean-up. These penalty races can be quite annoying especially when you try to pass only to have the computer cut in front and cause you to get a 3 second collision penalty. I've also noticed with the LM55 on a couple of the corners when breaking the back-end becomes very loose. Anybody else experiencing this with the LM55? I'm kinda surprised as I've never had this issue before with this car.

No I have not have any issues with the back-end becomes very loose, have you tried this tune and it is setup for this track Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo.

@hall90, nice tune. Was able to win easily with it. The amount of throttle release oversteer you can induce with this tune is just right. Where can I find more of your tunes?

I tried that Mazda tune and for my driving style it understeered a bit to much. I took the ballast out and cranked front down force all the way up and took off about 3 seconds a lap.

I can't believe I forgot about this little gem. This car can run much better time, as this was my first time with it and was sliding and spinning tires a lot. Easy win and fun to drive, something different.
