Weird situation yesterday... I was in a 4 players room and my teammate scored 0 points somehow. :confused:


Anyway, I've been thinking about upgrade my F-15 S/MTD to level 12. It is at level 10 at the moment so it will cost less than 3.5 millions.
 
I actually managed to see an AI plane fly backwards yesterday. Don't remember what kind but it wasn't a red target. It was flying roughly horizontal across my screen, pitched over almost 180 degrees(in a couple tenths of a second), flew backwards for a second without noticeably decelerating, then changed its mind and pitched back over the way it was and then turned to the side instead.
 
Yeah, I've seen that happen multiple times too.. With a MiG-31 never the less xD I guess the AI planes have thrust vectoring..
 
Every time I see a low level jet these days, especially F-14's, they kick my arse!:lol: Guys with 2000+ MR in a low level jet normally means the jet is some crazy level 20 behemoth. It does make me wonder, do the unseen stats like reload speeds, homing capabilities etc. keep improving beyond level 10? A jet close to level 20 could have practically no reload times and a near 100% hit rate.


Also, my YF-23 got a little deadlier today, it earned an extra parts slot which brought the ammo slots to 31. That meant I could upgrade a couple parts to larger items. The reload speed is now faster, and it now has a higher top speed.:)
 
My math suggests I'm going to wind up about 10-20 fuel short of the top 1,000 assuming people don't spend a lot extra or slow down come the weekend. Not sure if I should just go for as high as I can get, or stop and preserve what fuel I have left.

You've gotta ask yourself, how much do you really want a Mig-21 with the same stats as the unbelievably bad standard version?
 
Well, at least said MiG-21 can fit more mods..

In other news, a TDM event will be next, and main price is..? PJ's F-16C.:rolleyes:

Not much of a price considering it got oneshotted by Pixy's IMMAFIRINGMAHLAZOR ADFX-01.

Don't scoff, if it's a decent upgrade over the regular F-16C (like the Patriot version) it could be useful to have for challenges. Where did you find the prize info btw? I couldn't see it in game earlier.

Yeah that's about it. I would have liked it just because I'm a fan of silly planes like that, but now that it's clear only an act of the gods could get it for me I think I'll just finish out on supplied fuel and be happy with the Typhoon I didn't really care about. I do like any free plane, to be fair.

Got a ton of research done on the boosted planes and made lots of money in the process though. Thanks to a triple fuel S on gold Aigaion I can now afford to waste another million on level 11 for my F-14A. Dying twice cost me 30 grand before tripling however... that's just ridiculous.
 
It grants slight bonus to research points and credits when used. And during forced sorties you can use three of them which adds multiplier of 3.50 to the points and money.

Ummm, GODZIRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!???? :lol: That's cool. The Draken is a nice addition but would have to be one of the worst jets in the game. Then there's that new overpriced uber plane nobody cares about (GAF-1).

Edit: I'm guessing you'll have to pay extra for the Aptitude test as well.
 
Double post, I know, but...

Recently, I've been having extreme issues with actually joining a game AND finishing it. I always end up losing connection to the host. Has this happened to you guys?

Yep, we've all had/got connection issues with this game at one point or another, though sometimes I wonder if it was the host quitting.

It makes me wonder that as well. It takes eternity for me to actually spend a unit of fuel or two in the game due to this. For me, it usually happens whenever my team is on the winning edge.
 
Connection issues seem to come and go with Infinity. For me it has been much better in the past few months... for others not so much. I'm sure quite a few people do quit just because the battle/their score doesn't look good halfway through, but I prefer to assume they are just losing connection. I get less angry that way.



So apparently the next event is for "the planes you loved when you first started," but as usual it includes planes that didn't exist until many months after the game launched. I always get a kick out of that. Also included of course are the many special planes that render all the actual planes you used when you first started irrelevant(and even the standard F-20 appears by its stats to be miles better than the other two fighters eligible for this dogfighting tournament). I'll still probably use it as an excuse to get out my crappy MiG-21. At least TDM usually pays really well.
 
They will never fix that. They will just add things to keep us play this game and get moneys from us untill the day it will get shut down.
 
You know, I can't remember the exact wording but in the 20th Anniversary message it definitely sounded like a PS4 Ace Combat was in the works. I miss landing on an aircraft carrier, hopefully that makes a return in a full game (not pay to play) with a massive jet list and online co-op campaign missions with objectives as opposed to "DESTROY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN NOW!" and of course next gen graphics.

As for the down time, it's the same as always isn't it?
