Akasaka Grand Prix -Ciro from the Giro steals 1st!

Just did some testing, what are the ggt laptimes and tyre wear issues

I did 1:42.1 in my GT-R but tyres will last about 15 before they get too slow, maybe more If I pace myself. đź‘Ť

What laptimes are you doing on lap 15?

I dont think he wants to answer you, when you asked that question he took a big gulp  Do you want me to hazzard a guess ..I reckon by lap 15 the ggt boys are doing 1.50s including marunda ... you heard it here first. đź‘Ť

Pmsl  but surely not lol.

ITCC lap times don't really drop the way GGT lap times do.

We run 1:53s all day.

Use that for traffic predictions, please.

I will only pass you on a straight or on the outside of a bend đź‘Ť

I aim to get a top 5 in my ITCC car via consistency. If there's one thing I learnt from my WEC Rising Stars race last weekend, it's that I can't run full pace at Tokyo during an enduro!

It's more the fact that the car becomes more and more likely to hit a wall that necessitates the pitstop, not the pace. :)

Fair enough, I'm worried about the chicane and double-apex before the downhill.

ITCC cars are full-throttle through something like 90% of the track.

Problem is, we have to use every inch of the track. I'm on two-wheels through both apexes of the right-hand double-apex corner after the chicane. Oh, and I hit 193 km/h through that chicane in race pace, so we're quite fast through there.

So, feel free to pass where ever, excluding the vicinity of the chicane and the following corner. Even the slightest tap will spin ITCC cars there, when they're on two wheels.

If you take the inside line anywhere else, that shouldn't be a concern.

EDIT: Adam, that's a very lofty goal. Good luck! :)

Top 5 overall in an ITCC.. You must really hope for a few cautions then :) but you're right, enduros are won not on wasting tyres for 10 laps, but maybe be those 2 seconds slower and make the tyres last longer, be consistent đź‘Ť

99% confirmed my vehicle

At the end of the day I am a 15 year old, I'm sure that when the race begins I'll get caught up in a scrap and drop my consistency plans! :D But seriously, I am going to try, I reckon I can manage top five with a little bit of luck.

I won't be in the slightest, in it for the fun at the end of the day.

"In it to win it, for the fun" should be like the ITCC Motto.

Good call, Adam.

Also, what are the GGT/BST top speeds at this track? Are they actually above 300 km/h, like the OP says?

I can hit around 185mph so don't know what that converts into?

Right buds, I've decided to go with the 458 Italia, which means there'll be a total of 3 458's in the race :)

Edit: 185 mph is just below 300km/h. But I'd like to remind you again that the track description linked to in the OP was made primarily for Formula Gran Turismo's :)
