I am consistently getting this image in searches for Russian megaliths, crediting photographs by Georgy Sidorov in the Southern Siberian mountains, Gornaya Shoria. In contrast to many others, this one appears to be clearly worked and stacked by man. I am eager to debunk it as from Baalbek, but so far need to know more to do that firmly.

The above structure appears at ~32 seconds into the following video.

Thus I think can fall in line a bit with some of what I have mentioned recently in the global warming thread. When you consider that modern humans have been around for an accepted 50k years, or, as some are beginning to say as new evidence is showing up at least 100k years ago. (yes there are other links, but the irony was to much not to share.) Now, we went from the first farm, to today in roughly 10k years... How advanced could we have gotten in the 90k years previous?
Which brings up my next point. The asteroid strike of 11600 BC. The last major extinction even that wiped out all the mega mammals. A strike that large would, and did disrupt nearly every process on earth. If scientists like Graham Hancock and their evidence are true, this could easily have wiped out an advanced civilization. 10k years on, all we have left are these monoliths as evidence. Any higher tech would have decayed millennias ago. If not for constant maintenance, everything we have now would decay to unsafe in 50 years or less.
But... It does leave me with some questions. First being resources. Why were we able to find large amounts of raw ores still in the ground? Why do we not see vast swaths of oxided metals or large build ups of waste piles that surely must be the result of a large advanced settlement?
Now, Perhaps all of the ore we find now is just the remnants of those past civilizations after having gone through whatever cataclysm and the passing of time. But I imagine it would all look more uniform, and we would find nuggets of aluminum and not just aluminum oxide.
As for the waste. Perhaps they were better recyclers. Just odd that we can find fossilized turds from millions of years ago, but I can't recall hearing of a landfill of any sort or size from 40k years having been found. Just a few bones and teeth. Maybe a skull or three...

If scientists like Graham Hancock and their evidence are true

Graham Hancock is not a scientist and has never provided evidence that has been peer reviewed.

I've read most of his books, along with Erich von Däniken's and they never made a ton of sense to someone who's studied archaeology. In fact I wrote my capstone paper for my degree, all 60 pages of it, debunking their theories and how worthless they were in the archaeological community.

If there truly were advanced civilizations in the way these pseudoarchaeologist suggest, there would be evidence in ancient civilizations. Most stuff we uncover though can be explained once you get rid of the notion that the ancients were "primitives" and didn't know anything. With enough time, resources, and motivation, ancient megaliths could have be built. Instead of taking 3-4 years like our massive structures take presently, there's just took longer.

It matches these images taken at Baalbek of an area at the north of the site perhaps known as the mega fence. (mentioned about 2/3rds of the way down this page)

In fact, a link at the bottom of the page takes you to what looks to be the original source of the images, including the picture of the guy in t-shirt and shorts next to the blocks. Link to Russian language(?) site.

A bit of reverse image searching of the photos in the original article you posted shows that many are not from a remote part of southern Siberia, but from an ancient monastery on an island in the middle of a lake, Lake Turgoyak, in a popular tourist area about 2000 miles away.

Good job, man!

The whole story of Russian megaliths stands impugned by these rogue Russian amateurs inserting and mixing photos of genuine megaliths with what is certainly natural if strange formations in Siberia and the Urals.

I didn't catch how that video was obtained. Was it another "remote viewing" session? If so, when? 1,000,000 BC again?

MASSIVE objects visiting the Sun? See ~9:44, for instance.

Some of those are really interesting, so are some of his ideas, like why would NASA pay for research into how religions would handle meeting aliens. Our gov wastes money like it's going out of style, but I can't imagine they would pay to fund that sort of research without good reason.
But then, there are other issues. So 10 minutes. There is nothing there. It looks like some sort of plasma "tornado" but no light seems to be reflecting. My second issue, why would a UFO have wings? In space there is book l no wind resistance, no need for wings for lift. If they can get so close to the sun without being effected by gravity, than floating around a planet would be no issue.

Thank you for your questions. :)

Back at the beginning of the space age, c1959, NASA paid for think-tank (Rand Corp or Battelle?) research into the implications of finding evidence of alien life in the solar system - past or present. Back then the conclusion was that finding it might weaken or destabilize our civilization much like the explorers, conquistadors and colonists weakened and destabilized native life in the New World and Pacific islands centuries ago. Maybe today, with the raising of consciousness and education levels, modern civilization could better tolerate knowledge of alien life. So maybe NASA figured it was high time for another study prior to any overt disclosure.

As you already know from reading my many posts for many years, I deny the existence of nuts-and-bolts space ships visiting our solar system from other stars. Perhaps the plasmoid objects visiting the Sun and our planet are an inorganic life-form native and resident to our solar system?

I didn't notice any UFOs with wings. But maybe I wasn't looking close enough? If there are alien or inorganic life-forms with wings, perhaps they are there to gather solar wind or photons for energy?

It was the first UFO mentioned in the video. Really though, i might just be too pedantic.
Have you read a book called Endeavour? It's a sci-fi novel that deals with our first putter star system trip as well as finding our first evidence of a space traveling species, their rise, their disappearance and their sudden reappearance. Keeping away from spoilers it does eventually get to the crux of what you mention. That being the species (2 actually) first the species out grows their planet and needs to explore locally to continue to grow their resources and technology. Eventually they out grow their solar system and need to expand beyond. However, during their evolution they learned how to move their consciousness to electric form. Really neat story, but certainly does give you something to think about.

People seem to find so called "large structure" out in space and estimate some to as large as x8 earth. I highly doubt UFO's that large would exist.

When "solid" physical objects are scaled up, their weight increases more than their strength. A flea scaled up to human size would be unable to jump like it did at the tiny scale. So I completely agree no solid, physical UFO could be 8x the size of Earth. But a plasma life-form could be. Astronomer Royal Sir Freddy Hoyle wrote a great Sci-Fi novel back in the '50's called The Black Cloud, about a plasma life-form that enveloped the Sun and thereby threatened to destroy life on Earth.

Gotta love the square-cube law.

However, that particular spherical cow applies only if density is also scaled and when external gravitation is applied. Large constructions in space created by advanced intelligences are likely to be very low density and could imaginably have whole-mass propulsion rather than fixed-point propulsion.

Agreed. The problem I see with building an extremely large vehicle/space station/whatever is finding enough materials to complete it.

Nah. That's easy. Asteroid belts are great for resources such as metals. If a species has advanced enough to consider building something so large, then it stands to reason they are already planet hopping.
The real question is why so large? Did an entire civilization need to travel together? I think Dontini is more on the right track, at least as far as massive "structures" like that

Watch 1:45 to 4:00:

Yes, he talks about how the Death Star has to function as a weapon platform, but the Death Star is roughly 1/800th the size of these hypothetical vehicles. Also, I was a little imprecise with my wording, I should have said the biggest problem I see, as that applies to everything from putting underwear on to exploding the universe with your mind (this is way up the higher end of the scale, obviously).

Edit: this should also be relatively obvious, but whatever... materials that naturally occur in large quantities need a lot of refining to even be used in normal vehicle production, so acquiring enough of them is going to be tricky for a project that grand.

In theory a life-form the size of a star can be composed only of elementary particles in plasma - electrons, protons and dust - no refined metals needed. Read Hoyle's The Black Cloud.

Thought you didn't trust secureteam...
I don't. Didn't you notice the question mark I added to my introduction to his video?

In any case, the Aliens thread is for speculation, amusement, entertainment, fun and jokes, for the most part, don't you agree? Aliens are not known. They are a question, a mystery, and anybody's guess is fair game to kick around, I suppose. But I hope you do enjoy my posts - I strive for the highest available quality in my sources and especially my own speculations - but please don't take anything in this thread too awfully seriously.

That question mark has tons of connotation to it.

As for the jokes and fun part, no. If I want a laugh I'll go to the conspiracy thread or funny pictures. Considering this thread in idea is one about the very likely understanding of other inhabited worlds beyond ours, I don't see it as much of a joke. The idea that mars is some ancient super planet that once held creative beings of such measure...that's a joke, until proven otherwise. And while aliens aren't absolute the measure on their calculated existence makes it circumstantial of existence. What existence that may be is the question, not the reality of aliens existing.

My cousin Karl has insisted the madcap Mars Attacks is the best movie ever made about aliens. He gives the alien question no credence at all. Can he seriously be criticized?

IMHO, no biological aliens currently exist in our current solar system. Until aliens are shown to exist, I choose to deny their existence. Is that okay with you? Even if they do exist in distant star systems, transport between stars of solid flesh and blood beings is physically impossible in the system of physics as we currently understand it.

It's possible they once existed on Mars and migrated to our younger planet Earth when their own world grew too old.

When NASA solar observing satellites show giant black clouds gobbling energy from the Sun, that goes way beyond biological alien beings into the realm of inorganic physical processes that are nearly incomprehensible unless you've read The Black Cloud. Or maybe secureteam or NASA itself is generating fake news and alternative facts about the solar system?

Anyone with a differing opinion is encouraged to jump in!
