ALMS Season V

Ah so its Daytona, the season finally starts. :D

I'll hook my Lotus up properly before I get on, but right now I'ma run a couple laps in the 5 mins I have before I leave for work.

High 1:44's are my target.

The LMP should be getting somewhere around 1.34 flat as the pole time. I know that I can get a second a lap more out of my car. So far I am in the mid 1.35s.

I'll be there, and on time without other races to worry about. I don't really want to host since I have to always kick out the non-participants, but we could run it in a lounge and not have to worry about that. But people seem against that. So how about it? What do you guys want to do about the room tonight?

Public lobby. Lounges give an advantage to the host.

I've never experienced that. I've ran plenty of races in my lobby and other people's lobbies, I haven't noticed myself being faster when I host. If that's the case we can run it in someone like Kevin's lounge. He can open it and doesn't have to host. He can run the room for a little bit, then leave since he doesn't really want to race (or it can be anyone else).

That's good if we're using your lounge, if we're using someone like Kevin's lounge, everyone needs to add him. I really don't mind, as long as we get to race.

Good race! I drove without my own mistake, finished 1st with pole position!

disregard this bit

I would like to ask for a removal of coastiewannabie. He was blocking the LMP's and crashed over half of the field.

Hopefully you don't have to ask this question often. I've heard nothing, yet, James, but, now that you've asked, ensure that you take criticisms politely.

Nope. I didn't really see you that much, I think you disconnected or something.

I left because I had to go. Me and the guy in the Ford GT were having a good battle off and on. I know if I messed up any races it was by taking the corners wide.

Did I screw up anyones race when I was racing?
I was kinda hoping you would make a mistake earlier than you did, so I could pass you earlier. I could slowly see the other cars slipping away from me.

Other than that, I kinda messed up everything. The weight setup meant the tyres didn't last long enough on the rear. The car wasn't broken in enough and died in power towards the latter stages. I ran the transmission too low and kept bumping off the revs at 178 mph or less. I pitted a lap sooner than I should've and needed to, because I over-anticipated the amount of laps LMP would be ahead.

Still, I think 3rd was my end result... I couldn't see gtamann on screen, but I'm hoping he was behind me.

Good racing from everyone except Coastie and James. Passed him legit, honked his horn like a beast. Coastie's car was overspec'd I think, as he could rip away from me in the straights whereas nobody else could in GT. James, practice some more.

Congrats, James. You seem to have found your good fit series. Just one question: who was in the Ford? Yeratel? Cowboys?
