Amazing sound mod find!

Dude come on you can act a tad bit mature than that right?
In what way is that immature?

Also, regarding OP. That video, in my opinion, uses distortion (or whatever that foreground noise is, I'm no sound expert) to hide the engine sounds, so it may seem that the cars sound better even though they are the same.

I truly cannot agree with that

Dude come on you can act a tad bit mature than that right?

Really? Come on dude it's fact.

GT5's Muscle:

True Muscle car sounds

You tell me what sounds better.

Really? Come on dude it's fact.

Honestly you could put up all the video on YouTube you want my 7.1 I am playing on disagrees, let me ask you is that your video? Or did you just look up some gt5 video on YouTube for your argument. Some cars sound bad I will give you that, But some muscle cars sound amazing, but what messes up the muscle cars is when people start adding the the titanium exhaust. @ penguin If your truly going to ask me why that statement you made was immature than it's really no point debating dude.

No compared to the real thing they sound terrible. Did you even watch the real life videos?

I was playing around with different cars today and i put a sports exhaust on my 1969 Z28 i this was my face after hearing it O_O... Sounds amazing try it.... I have a 5.1 that i have hooked up to digital audio out... And the sound of it was rattling my whole room...

There was a thread a long time ago talking about how some things are not correct for example.. The 787B people were saying that the sound from the engine on the hood or in car camera would mostly come from the rear right speaker... Well about a week after i saw that i was driving it just cruising around i switched to the 3rd person camera and down shifted and saw the backfire only come from the back right side... That is most likely why most of the sound is coming from the rear right

You know, because I can totally read people's minds.

Obviously you cannot but what you do lack is a little common sense, no disrespect dude, but I expect a comment like that from my 6 year old. For example "Dad can I get candy from the store" "Not today babygirl" "ahhhh I never get candy" Again this is what my six years old does. She takes a small situation and blows it out of proportion by saying I never get candy, when just a day ago I bought her candy. I expect that from a six year old. You fixing somebodies post saying every car in GT5 sounds bad is immature dude in my opinion. Some cars sound really bad in GT5 but to say all sound bad well... :ouch:

@ JDMKING Please listen too this vicious sound and stop telling yourself everything is allright at that Pd did a great job ladies and gentlemen the Lexus Lfa as it should sound.

1. Was partly hyperbole. Most cars in GT5 don't sound like their real life counterparts.

2. Give me an example of a car that sounds realistic in GT5. And by realistic, I mean that it sounds like it should. The V8 muscle cars in the game for example that have the generic V8 sound may be a good sound (I would like to argue this as well), but it isn't realistic.

Best sounding car in this game is the 2009 dodge viper ACR.

Yeah I pretty much knew you would respond like that, but how am I supposed to read your mind? See what I did there :sly: So what game sounds so realistic to you? Some cars sound crap others sound great. It's a game with over 1000 cars I don't expect every car to be spot on. Obviously you have extremely high standards.

@ king Ahh the good old FM4 examples well you wont see me drooling like yourself. I have the game buddy and the sounds are over done in my opinion. I barley play FM4 on my surround because of the over dramatic sounds I mean a stock Miata in FM4 sounds like it has already had an exhaust applied. Also why do my speakers crack when I play FM it never does that when I play GT. As I said some people love the Hollywood sounds FM4 have to offer I don't. Just as with GT5 FM4 has some great sounding cars and some bad sounding ones. Also the replays in FM4 sounds are not good in my opinion they sound as if I am driving the car still. This is something I love about GT5.

No, I don't have extremely high standards. All I (and many other people) want is something like this:

...rather than this:

Here's a real one for reference:

That's not an excuse.
Here's a good list of cars, on a thread that discusses exactly that:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=237388
That's not at thread on which cars sound good, it's a thread on what exhausts modifications (or lack thereof) will make the cars sound better. Doesn't mean it's realistic. The Ferrari Enzo for example, uses what sounds like the same sound file as the Ferrari 458. The E46 M3, which has a I6 engine has the same sound file as the V8 E92 M3, and even that doesn't sound good, as shown in my examples above.

👍 He knows this thread exist he posted in it before. :sly:

@ penguin congrats dude you used the worst car sound in GT5 to validate your argument great job buddy. Only thing messes up the BMW M3 is the engine at high rpm. Watch a replay and you hear the V8 all day this is a fact, And again you have HIGH standards anybody expecting 1000+ cars to be spot on has to.

Your statement doesn't make my point any less valid; I'm still waiting for you to post a video of a car that sounds realistic in GT5.

Also, I never said that all car sounds have be be exactly spot on, but I, like with many other people as I've said earlier, do expect the sounds to be better than most of what we have.

You want more examples? (linked for space saving)

WRX STI - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4R-4TjEB7Q
Enzo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlMvd3wQlL8
Camaro - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC53I2Ya-IY

I could go on...

Are those your video's? What equipment are you using I would like to know because that is truly important. If you are just getting videos off of YouTube then who really cares I don't know what they are using to play their GT5. Those cars sound slightly different on my 7.1.

No, not my videos. Even if they use a fancy stereo system, it won't be recorded because the recorder only records output from the PS3.

I don't use my regular TV speakers either, I have some sort of sound system as well. It probably doesn't sound as well as today's speakers, but they do produce a lot of bass, which, apparently, makes cars sound better. Not to mention they are better than my TV speakers.

Yea no doubt I need to get a damn recording device It's like 100 + and it will let me run my surround sound while I record. I will try to use my regular camera and see if it can pick up the bass. All those video's you posted lack the sub woofer sound which is extremely important when playing GT5. But agree with your post here.

@ King Here is my LFA This is off of my camera so the sound is not the best I need a capture card asap. The bass is important but you can barely hear it in my video so the grunts the LFA makes are a some what lost.

@ JDMKING Please listen too this vicious sound and stop telling yourself everything is allright at that Pd did a great job ladies and gentlemen the Lexus Lfa as it should sound.

in reality GT's LFA is actually alot closer then Forza4, Seeing as GT5 actually sounds like a LFA

So the capture card I saw with the two ports for the opt wont work with the PS3 because it will not recognize it?

Hauppauge - HD Personal Video Recorder Thanks Torque ;)

Edit that's actually the wrong one there is one where I read you can hook up your surround and PS3 at the same time.

Oh Rlly? Thats recorderd with a cameraphone. You are willing too tell me that you believe that when driving an LFA, that is what you hear?:ill: on 7000 rpm's? Please this is a bad recording. I you have ever watched any Autoshow like Topgear, Evo,Fifth gear or related you will know that they all say that car sounds like there a T-rex under the hood.

Here is a better example

Dude this sounds like A**. Thanx for reminding me why i never booth that system up anymore. The only thing positive i can say is that it looks great on track(not minding shadow flickering, excessive blooming effect). Too me it is not really immersive.

The Sound system doesnt change really the sound that much. My GT5 on my Soundsystem sounds way bader than my Asphalt Injection on my VITA Speakers, enough said...

Fully race modded? pff
What settings? LR ST LT?
Im not gonna front like they are the best, but definitely not as crap as you pessimists make it out to be.

THe EQ is a superb idea minus the GAIN, but turn up bass n lower treble and GT looses that annoying Whistle and really rumbles. No proof needed, alot of people enjoy great sound in GT5(myself included) , because they know HOW TO, not just moan and boo boo with nothing constructive to add.

PS, No More Youtube Evidence, or PVR, nothing can capture what you hear from Speakers.

Sounds like he just boosted the mid frequencies a bunch to get that nice raspy sound. I should probably do that but then I 'd always have to be switching it back again when I wanted to watch or listen to anything else.
