Confused if this is Musk or Trump because I could see BOTH of them making this statement.Musk's take on it is unsurprisingly in-character.

Trump would be using more nicknames, to be fair.Confused if this is Musk or Trump because I could see BOTH of them making this statement.

Also a bigly lack of yuge.Trump would be using more nicknames, to be fair.
SAD SLEEPY MUSK WITH NO STAMINAAlso a bigly lack of yuge.
You know, you'd think a "businessman" like Musk would understand capitalism and how it works, but I guess not.
This is a silly question but what exactly was this “everything” done to appease the activists? All this ding dong did was post more memes antagonizing the talking points against him.Musk's take on it is unsurprisingly in-character.

This guy sure seems like Trump 2.0. A smarter, more likeable (if you can call it that) version, that could definitely make a run for president and win given where things currently stand.Agreed. And I second @Blitz24's statement above. Elon seems to have watched Trump go from sexually-harassing "billionaire" "genius" "businessman" to being a permanent grievance machine bent on controlling public discourse and living above the law and was like "I can do that better in every single way". I think he can.
Thankfully not, born in South Africa, so he's not eligible. This guy sure seems like Trump 2.0. A smarter, more likeable (if you can call it that) version, that could definitely make a run for president and win given where things currently stand.
I’m sure some of the Republicans have had it cross their minds to want that changed for obviously bad reasons.Thankfully not, born in South Africa, so he's not eligible.
After the Obama nonsense, of course they would, nothing like a bit of peak hypocrisy.I’m sure some of the Republicans have had it cross their minds to want that changed for obviously bad reasons.
Yeah, that's the only issue right now, although if Republicans controlled everything and put enough people in the right places, you never know if an exception could be made.Thankfully not, born in South Africa, so he's not eligible.
It would still be extremely difficult though since it would require a Constitutional Amendment. Even with a 2/3rd's majority, I can't see every Republican wanting to allow non-natural-born citizens to be president since that would really cut into the whole "America first" mindset.Yeah, that's the only issue right now, although if Republicans controlled everything and put enough people in the right places, you never know if an exception could be made.
If they word it right and specify very narrow set of requirements like having some kind of major contributions to American economy and long term residency requirements, it probably could fly. Still, not very likely, and I don't think they are that desperate for a candidate, especially if Biden decides to run again. It would still be extremely difficult though since it would require a Constitutional Amendment. I missed this:
"Subscribers would not need their identities authenticated to get the check mark".
Readers have now added some context...Musk's take on it is unsurprisingly in-character.

Hope whoever was doing their job and added that correction isn't making any plans for a big Christmas blowout this year.
It's $8/month speech.Ok, hang on. So if you subscribe you get your free speech ranked ahead of other peoples' free speech? How is that free speech?
And half the number of ads. Not no ads, half (although half of none because the advertisers all pulled out except the pillow guy is indeed none).Ok, hang on. So if you subscribe you get your free speech ranked ahead of other peoples' free speech? How is that free speech?
Were it not for the extortionate Starbucks-level monthly fee I could easily see a Spartacus-like situation developing with the other 68.Gonna pay $8 to verify myself to say I’m @ therealElon69 and these changes are dumb.
He's not slim but he's definitely shady. Will the real Elon Musk please stand up?
I repeat, will the real Elon Muskl please stand up?
We're gonna have a problem here...
It's free market speech. You have more money to spend, so clearly you are more important and deserve to be heard over the filthy plebians.Ok, hang on. So if you subscribe you get your free speech ranked ahead of other peoples' free speech? How is that free speech?
I gather what Twitter ended up being didn't exactly reflect Dorsey's desires. I absolutely think someone else could--and maybe should--but I don't imagine Dorsey has the appetite.Truth social and some of the other conservative twitter clones have not faced any legal consequences related to intellectual property, right? Wouldn't that mean that Jack Dorsey could just build a new version of Twitter that would mirror the pre-Elon version? I don't have much of a horse in this race, but the thought did occur to me.
