That is not what is hated at all, regulation is what is hated. Republicans come in all shapes and sizes but I already tried to explain how the EPA does not protect the environment nearly as much as it causes other problems.

I am not a Republican and I hate the EPA, I have a great respect for the land and environment because I am a Conservative(for some you might need to look up the definition and realize the root lol).

While I don't think it was right to silence the EPA, they still are a useless organization that doesn't protect the environment what-so-ever. Things happen fast in D.C. but my guess would be they already knew it was coming. At the very least you would not expect silence and declining comment when asked.

I honestly think the EPA knows it will have it's day to say in front of Congress as it should be, they're not going to rock the boat until then. Again trying to set my bias aside, it's a bullcrap bureaucracy and it's about time something is done about it as in the past 8 years I see little accountability, an 8 billion dollar budget, not much result on global terms, and a hurt to our economy.

I'm trying to be objective on this.

Oh, besides that, they don't need to consult anyone but congress as they are an extension of congress, that is part of the problem, too big for their britches lol.

I hope you are right. The EPA's record on clean air and water under Obama was far better than under GWB. I understand the overregulation was hurting the GDP, I just hope there is a compromise somewhere.

I could be wrong, but I believe if you are a Federal Employee than you can be legally gagged and it's not unconstitutional.

In a quick skim of that article(because I already knew he did that) something came to mind. In my business dealings I have always had a close relationship with The Department of Agriculture, it's on the state level and they give support to the small guy and help us make sure we are in compliance, they protect and promote, you know, the way it should be 👍

You don't run from them, you embrace them, unlike the EPA who when I have repeatedly ask them for clarifications I get this run around, their regs are written that way on purpose so they can hang you whenever they feel.

On top of that, many of their regs actually cause more damage than good because they will not listen to professionals in the field.

Now before people's respective blood pressure shows a climb to higher altitude, I am not political and have never voted either here or in the U.K. The attempt at soliciting an emotional response with 'ra-ra right' serves only yourself.

That's a little misleading, it's not a Muslim ban. It's a ban on visas from certain nations (Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen) and a temporary ban on refugees. Yes, they are predominately Muslim nations, but there are still several other Muslim nations that aren't being restricted like Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

As a nation we don't have to have open borders for everyone to come in. There are many other countries that keep their borders more controlled and it's not out of hate for anyone but rather for the protection of the nation. It's not secret that many in the Middle East don't approve of the United States and it's extremely hard to pinpoint who those individuals are. Limiting who can come into the US is reducing the risk that someone who wants to cause harm is allowed in.

They both should definitely be around, there's a reason for them, but some of the stuff they write up for fines in the thousands of dollars is outrageous.

They both should definitely be around, there's a reason for them, but some of the stuff they write up for fines in the thousands of dollars is outrageous.

Personal experience, OSHA director told their angencies in Montana to write fines and generate as much revenue as possible. A fine hits the companies Desk in weeks, but no joke, remediation reports don't show up for 18 months. In other words, your money is more important than the safety of your employees while most OSHA laws are left up to interpretation.
