Sure. But there's a fundamental difference between insulting someone for a choice they make, rather than an attribute they're born with.

I'm honestly baffled by anyone who professes to not see that.
That's just as low as talking about someone cause of thier clothes.

Trump has earned any comments about his ... err ... unnatural ... appearance. Trump made a point about insulting other people's appearance throughout his campaign: Rosie O'Donnell, Carly Fiorina, Hillary Clinton, Alicia Machado, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Heidi Cruz, even, somewhat bizarrely, Rand Paul.
None of which I condone and none of them are members here. Y'all can try to justify it all you want. It's a personal insult.

Trump has issued a forest of executive orders doing all kinds of interesting things

And here they are in short form.
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/10-executive-actions-trump-signed-far/

10. Review manufacturing regulations.
9. American steel in pipelines.
8. Speeding up environmental reviews for all priority infrastructure.
6 + 7. Speeding approval of Dakota Access and Keystone Oil Pipelines.
5. Federal hiring freeze.
4. TPP.
3. Abortion.
2. Regulation freeze.
1. ACA rollback.

What exactly are you referring to?

I agree that making fun of Trump's skin and Hillary's clothes are both childish and unproductive, which is why I already stated that.

However, neither of those things is even remotely comparable to racism.

That makes no sense, Neither are members here. Both terms can be found offensive...
Offensiveness per se is not the issue - the act of harassing or attacking another GTP member for whatever reason is not acceptable, and that is covered by the AUP. Racism, personally directed or otherwise, is not tolerated at GTPlanet because it is considered hateful behaviour, whereas personal distaste or light-hearted jokes about the use of excessive fake tan/make up products is not. Anyway, questions regarding the AUP or moderation don't belong in this thread, please feel free to shoot me/us a PM if you want to continue this particular line of enquiry.

It's always best when two wrongs make a right.

Give me a break: poor little snowflake Trump is "wronged"?

Nobody has insulted Trump for being bald - there's nothing wrong with being bald. Trump claims to be an "alpha male" but is so lacking in self-confidence that he has to create the world's most elaborate comb-over to conceal the simple fact that he's balding. That's worthy of ridicule, especially when it's combined with Trump's penchant for constantly insulting other people's appearance.

I never claimed racism.
I find it funny that Trump can be called Cheeto face but how dare we call Hillary, Killary. I'm done cause this will go no where like the last time I brought it up.

Some of the things he is doing are pretty amazing - like researching all possible ways of shutting down federal grant streams to cities and states not in compliance with immigration law.

Another interesting thing he is hard at work on is studying voter fraud such as dead people voting and the same person voting multiple times or in multiple states. He may be inclined to declare the entire voting system a strategic national security issue and federalize/standardize voter I.D. across all the states, starting with California and New York!

Which seems rather anecdotal, and corroboration if that.

I agree, which is why I found the certainty of your post odd.

I am more likely to believe that First hand accounts have more credibility than most news coverage. I guess the, " you weren't there, you don't know " comes into play. Believe or not, frankly it is of little concern to me and you are well within your rights to call this mans experience trivial and even fictional. We are all wise to guard our judgement and acceptance of what we read and hear and I certainly hope that everyone's fears, no matter what side of the debate you're on, become realized as unfounded and rooted in political agendas and fear mingering.

Corroboration is what the left's media engine is now famous for.

Because his orange, overly-tanned skin is a result of personal choice, not to mention that it's an indicator of his vanity - something that a lot of people don't like about him.
Do we actually know that it's vanity? It could be that he genuinely hates his own appearance and makes odd choices in response to that. It happens a lot. I'd view Michael Jackson's choices on skin colour as likely having been part of a wider sad tale, also reflecting a fragile mind. I'd be loathe to assume that Trump's situation has zero relatability, even at it's core.

I quite like being free flowing with jibes, but also ever ready to switch to empathising with a person's affliction, should one rear it's head. As with so many things, being consistent is key, it's just that the human condition sometimes hides factors important to rationalising that consistency into existence.

Start with your daughter, your chief strategist, and your SecTreasury nominee.

Of course, being registered in two different places isn't fraud - you'd need to actually vote in both places. But either Trump doesn't understand that distinction, or he's grasping at increasingly irrelevant straws in his pursuit of non-existent widespread voter fraud.

The NWS arm here in Phoenix just posted on facebook a link to their Global Warming FAQ on their website. Let's see how long it sticks around. I find it hilarious that they posted it, and I hope this "defying the order" stuff keeps up.

It doesn't appear to be, but that's not the item being discussed, an altercation on plane is a long way from claims that the authorities will not enter parts of the UK or Switzerland because of refugees.

Independent witnesses and a video help to support that claim, but as per you own claims around the inauguration they should also not be taken at face value.

As such what someone claims on a podcast, without any supporting evidence, ranks quite low on the credibility scale. Certainly too low to apply as a blanket to two very different countries

California plans to sue Trump Administration over immigration plans.

Is this based on CEQA? If it's based on NEPA I seriously doubt that would fly seeing as how trump is treating the EPA. There is also this thing called eminent domain and if Trump can prove it's in the name of national defense or national security Cali will not stand a chance.

Again I'd be willing to bet he's already been consulted on this by all his resources, most likely before he was elected.

Add NYC and Boston to the list.

Blasio specifically called out Steve Bannon about racism.

The one that is fighting back against Trump Administration attempts to make a federal law that demonises immigrants. (d'oh)

Huge protest going on right now in NYC (and DC) over Trump's anti-immigration order.

Thousands of New Yorkers have filled Washington Square Park this evening for an "emergency rally" for immigrant and Muslim rights, in the wake of a series of executive orders issued by President Trump this afternoon. The turnout, according to some of those in the park now, is "massive."

This afternoon, Trump, as promised, issued an executive order threatening to cut federal funding to sanctuary cities that have refused to aid his administration in their promised attempts to round up and deport immigrants. The order is short on specifics, but here's what we know so far.

CAIR-NY, which announced the rally this morning, says the protest is intended to send a message that, as "a city of immigrants, we cannot stay silent in the face of such hate. We ask you to gather tonight (Wednesday), to show President Trump that all New Yorkers stand with our Muslim and Latino neighbors. Together, we will form a beacon of light against the coming darkness."

I don't know how I feel about this.

Hopefully, Trump means the illegal immigrants from Mexico and not just immigrants in general.

As for the idea about Muslims entering, I'd be massively concerned about just willy nilly letting them in, I mean a look at Germany shows that completely open borders is a little risky. Not trying to imply that all Muslims are like that, there are some Muslims that practice the religion peacefully but we can't guarantee that all the Muslims entering the countries are 100% peaceful and don't follow all the bad stuff in the Kuran (sorry don't know how to spell it).

He's not attempting to write a federal law that demonises immigrants, what he did do however is sign an executive order to build his wall, and to increase border patrol and illegal immigration employees. In other words he's wanting more tools to enforce the law that already exists, he only needs money from Congress.

As for your list, I'm still not understanding, The State of California's Governor has pledged to protect 'his citizens' as have the Mayor of NYC and the Mayor of Boston right? Illegal aliens are illegal and thus it's legal to deport them on a federal level. He did change one parameter from targeting convicted criminals to include those accused of a crime.

I think neogaf is leaking.

@Famine

I don't think so or at least I've not heard of it. Cities receive federal funding through the state though iirc so he'd have to punish the whole state which he's not going to do as he's already promised to give more money to the states and lessen the Federal powers.

I do not know how well I can play the part but the idea of deporting illegal immigrants will always remind me of Emma Lazarus' poem:
"..." Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!".. "

Sorry but if only I was better at English in school, I probably could've understand the poem

He can't. He's the president not a dictator. "Executive Orders" as it is, then.

He most obviously can, he just did. I don't think you are understanding the law on this one, it's already in place and Obama did the exact same things, Trump is simply ramping it up a little to stay with the times.

One thing that is funny to me in calling him a dictator, these executive orders are basically trivial in comparison to the way Obama used that power to sidestep The Congress.

It just means we welcome immigrants with open arms and we do, nothing has changed there. It's posted on the Statue of Liberty among other places. I'd guess it's something the immigrants would see when they hit Elis Island.

Fox News in the White House making laws and policy discussion. Wonderful.

What do you call it when MSNBC does it, if you have a side in this then say so, if you are legitimately concerned either way, say so. You of late have come off as this overly righteous person of Trump/Republicans are the only political joke the U.S. has to offer. It'd be nice to see objective criticism, rather than an amateur Jon Stewart.
