I'll take this one, there's no 🤬'n way we are racing that piece of 🤬 LFA ! And I don't believe any of the Lexus or Infinty should be allowed. Next we'd be letting Toyota in...think we ought ta just put a stop to it now.

Ok, sounds good!! Just wanted to test the limits since Kal said....

Long as it is American in make I am sure it can run. But NO Front Wheel Drives. They just do not fit anywhere into this series no matter what.

Lexus and Infinti are not American in Make. Not sure how you even think they are. Both are Nissan and Toyota derivatives.

No on 4wd cars. On sports soft they hold an advantage and can make a bad driver do well.

The Delorean is fine, but if you chose it then you must sing us that 'Huey Lewis' song while your driving.

"So take me away, I don't mind....Long as you promise me we'll be back in time"

Also, I honestly don't care for the Delorean to run. It was a Irish built car. Just because they are now "reproduced" here in the USA general does not make the model in GT5 a American Make car. Just like soem Toyota's, they are made in America but does not mean they are going/should be allowed to run. But several people said they were okay with it running (Delorean) so it was allowed to run.

On a minor note I am making a rig to hold my camera in various places on my car. Here is a quick shot of the new location. Mind you the camera is located about 5-6 inches at most off the ground

Jeezus, I step away and do my job for 1 hour......

Damn, 4x4 vehicles are out? so that I guess rules out my pickup truck. Is there any other US cars that are 4wd?

Ken, choose a car, then we can shoot it down later

Maybe I'll run the DMC and set my trans to 88mph that way I can jump to the future and meet you all on top of the podium when you are done with your silly races!!hahahaha

DeLorean is kinda a stretch. I don't really care either way. I know there are some other American cars made on foreign soil as well. So splitting hairs on where the car is actually made is frivolous. American company = American car... plain and simple.

I honestly hadn't thought much about the Delorean, kker was practicing in it with us the other day so I just assumed it was good. I'd really like to see someone drive the GNX, personally. I really considered it myself but then I wanted to have a theme with all my cars, glad I did 'cause so far the '96 Grand Sport is my best handling choice.

Yea well, I will definitly be choosing an odd-ball for modern g2 unless all are fail then back to the '97 z28. But GNX is on the list of possible suspects for me. Or possibly the IROC?

96 GS, '91 ZR1, IROC and GNX were the four I narrowed down to. With each having pretty basic tune, (quick LSD and camber adjustments) the GS was most comfy for me. GNX was right behind it, with the IROC not far off. ZR1 was the only one that I felt was too far off to mess with at our specs.

Ford Taurus SHO '98 (LOL) it's FF, are you reconsidering this car??

That is amusing. I wouldn't call it muscle, but I have driven the SHO Taurus, and I gotta admit it's impressive for being built from a grocery getter chassis.

Did some experimenting while practicing the new tracks last night, found that switching from bumper-view to hood-view really helped me on the unfamiliar tracks. However, after running quite a few successful solo laps, I took it online and found that the lack of a rearview mirror makes me quite dangerous. Pretty sure Skel's Vette will agree with me there...

I use the hood camera and I have no Rear View mirror issues....*(looks at last seasons scoring) OH wait Never mind.......

First Season I used the Inside Cockpit view. I don't have a 30in LCD Tv, a nice PS3 to use a view that looks just as generic as all the past ones. I want to see the car atleast!

Say are we going to be doing any testing this weekend? I want to see if my GNX can keep up with these other cars. Also I don't know if this is bothering anybody else but there was a ridiculous amount of red cars last weekend(including me) I don't know about you guys but when I take pics of the race I hate to see just red! Sorry for my pointless red car b**ching but I felt like I needed to share that.

I'm not worried about your rear view mirror, I'm not going to be there!

I have a 46"LCD, and I always use bumper camera. Just what I'm used to since GT1.

There's a good chance I'll be around this weekend. Next weekend however, I'll be in Hawaii.
Don't worry GTMail, all my cars are blacked out.

I've been using bumper cam since GT3, and I prefer it. The hood cam gives a better view of the track in front and upcoming corners. It only helps when I'm unfamiliar with the track...which turns out is about 75% of the tracks...

So, your going to miss out on the first race then? I know this weekend is Practice due to labor day but next week I was under impression will would be starting.

Somedays are just plain fun at my job.

That's a special order body color grill option that gets installed at the dealer, and, as you can see, the grill is installed from the backside of the facia! I think it turned out pretty cool looking, gives it a retro '69 Z look.

You work in the Body shop don't you Mudd? No WAY the service center looks that clean or does that kind of work.

Regardless looks good!

I'm in service dept. The brand new 'special order' installs go through service because it's more of a GM warranty type repair...and the body shop guys hate working on brand new cars, the customer is always way more picky. Kinda odd, now that I think about it, that the higher profile jobs go to us redneck wrenches instead of the body repair guy, but I'm not complaining. It's nice to work on this stuff compared to the normal rust buckets I usually get.

You'll have to excuse me now, as us GM technicians are required to put at least 3 miles on each new vehicle as it comes in. Aww, shucks!

Yea, it looks that way. For some reason I thought my trip was going to be the weekend after. Oh well. This summer has gone by so fast, it almost seems like it never happened, and I'm loosing track of what's going on and what's not. The fact that it didn't stop snowing here untill June is part of the ridiculously short summer. Pretty soon I'll be waxing my skis again.

Mudd, that's a pretty neat job you have there. That new camaro looks pretty sweet with the after market grill. Is that a convertible? I don't think I've seen one.

Only the second convertible we've had, first one was black with white stripes. Personally, I'm more looking forward to the release of the Z28. That grill is actually a GM part, I think it's out of the GM Performance catalog.

Very nice. It kinda reminds me of the '69 indy 500 pace car. But that had orange stripes & interior.

Those are the 'Hugger Orange' stripes, the shop lighting makes the color look funny. All the door and dash inlay trim is matching orange, along with the seat stitching and inserts.

"...he was in a bind, 'cause he was way behind, an' he was willin' ta make a deal..."

I'll be around, be happy ta set the room up for some practice/testing races. I know I could certainly use the practice.

". . . When he came across this young man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot.And the devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said: Boy let me tell you what: I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too. . ."

I should be around too. I'm hiding out at home while all the bay area people clog up the entire town all weekend. I already almost died today on my motorcycle from someone driving on the wrong side of the road going around a Prius driver that had no idea what was going on about anything.
