Android L.......ollipop

It's not pure Android, it's an LG G3 so it's running whatever LG has put on there. I can only see that causing issues with the haptic feedback and keyboard though, the orange bars and silent mode are a Lollipop feature.

EDIT: It's not just me -

Why not add a simple 'disable orange' feature? I know when I've got my power saver on because 1) the phone's screen is dimmer and 2) I'm not an idiot and can see the icon at the top telling me it's on

You may not be an idiot but other people don't pay attention to their notifications.

Which is why it should be on by default with the option to turn it off IMO. I can't understand why they've decided to give you a larger amount of control over notifications and sound profiles but have decided you don't need that same control over something as distracting as bright orange bars either end of the phone!

I'm pretty psyched. Sounds like my phone might swing a CM build

I'm running an unofficial CM12 build on my G3 for more than a month. Now that CM12's official I could see it becoming just as stable as the stock ROM.

CM11 Official is still in Nightlies for my phone, so I doubt it'll ever get CM12 officially. There is unofficial CM12, but it's still very much in alpha. For now, I'll have to stick with a CM11 based ROM. KitKat still looks better though, IMO.

I'm a little bit disappointed, that Motorola still hasn't rolled out Android L here in Europe, at least not in the majority of Europe, when they've actually promised to have done so 'til the end of 2014. :indiff:

Sony's teased their new Lollipop softkeys.

So is something like this forced if you own a recent Android phone?

If it is, I can only say this.

I'm scared. Someone hold me :nervous:

Not bad, much more simple and clean (probably prefer the old one for the recent apps button but will get used to it), hurry up Sony already, hopefully the Z2 gets it by mid Feb.

I've just started using CM12 for my S5 as I couldn't get the wanamlite lollipop to work.

I have to say it's great, I love the Material design and so far it's worked with barely a hitch despite being alpha nightly builds (I'm on 15 Feb).

Debating whether or not to get one of those Cyanogenmod nightlies for my OnePlus One or wait for OxygenOS which could take a long time.

Just bought a 2nd gen moto x and saw a lollioop vs kitkat benchmark. It still performs a wee bit better on KitKat, even in battery life...I also dislike lollipops white menus and backgrounds. looks awful. Some other phones did improve slightly though .

I can live with the occasional lollipop update reminder for a while yet.

Apparently phones shipped with Lollipop have forced encryption, so that's probably why KitKat has better performance on some phones.

Some Sony apps are getting Lollipop icons, bet we'll have it by next week or this one hopefully.

For those who don't have a Sony phone, how big can the update be?
I'm mostly looking forward to the lockscreen notifications.
