Android L.......ollipop

@TwinTurbo LM Yeah just seen those yesterday, not sure what to make of it yet, it's cleaner but the blue I don't really like.

also seems there is no direct Wifi and Bluetooth toggles in the main settings page.

I don't like the blue either, but that should be easy enough to change with the built in theme engine (if they keep it). As for the WiFi and Bluetooth settings toggles, those will hopefully be changed with the final version of the firmware. This is probably a test version.

Some Sony apps are getting Lollipop icons, bet we'll have it by next week or this one hopefully.

For those who don't have a Sony phone, how big can the update be?
I'm mostly looking forward to the lockscreen notifications.

I hate the lockscreen notifications. I want it how it used to be, pull down the lockscreen from above and then you see what message you got. Much better for privacy reasons. Now it's in your face when you look at the lockscreen, I don't want that. My phone is also always in saving battery mode, now that message is also on your lockscreen. The only way I can get rid of it is to deny all kinds of notifications on the lockscreen. So now I have to unlock my phone just to see what kind of notification I have got. Due to this I also can't change music on the lockscreen (like next song)... Can't make screenshot of lockscreen anymore either

I can block notifications per app, but then still the energy saving notification is in the middle of my screen :banghead:

I hate how if I swipe from left to right it takes me to the dialer
Being right handed means it opens the dialer all the time and it is annoying.

You can't turn it off? that is stupid, also if it interferes with my music player lock screen widget I won't be happy either, hopefully since Sony is the last OEM( or what ever they're called) is the last one to pull the Lollipop trigger they'd have figured stuff out more.

I've been thinking about flashing to CM12 now but after checking the OnePlus forums, it seems like there hasn't been a nightly since two days ago and people are saying that the release of CM12 will be coming out soon so I'm going to hold off for now...again. If I do flash my ROM, all the data will be wiped, correct? Is there any way to back all my data up and put it back on the phone after flashing it?

@ProjectWHaT You can use Titanium Backup to backup and restore your apps and data.

That might or might not work. When I flashed CM12 on my G3 and restored all my apps and data from the stock ROM with Titanium Backup, the system kept crashing.

I was surprised to see that Samsung actually released this for my S4 Active. I upgraded, but I regret it. It broke some stuff I had paid for, and I think it looks ghastly.

It's however of little consequence, as I broke my S4A recently. Neither wifi or bluetooth works anymore so I'll have to replace it.

You might have restored system apps and data, doing that across ROM's will cause crashes.

Finally got rid of that Dialer and Camera on the lock screen.
So no more opening the dialer app when swiping

Looks like Sony are finally going to start the roll out next week, can't wait, seems we will get move to SD card capabilities too (great news), nice reward for me after the midterms.

Sony finally rolling out Lollipop today, sadly only to the Z3 currently, the Z2 within the next 2 weeks. :(

Seems it's only getting rolled out to the nordic and baltic countries first, I shouldn't expect any new update from them for another few weeks which is unfortunate.

You can use Flashtool to install the update now if you really want to.

Probably so that we would all be 'encouraged' to store our data on Google Drive.

That would be a very idiotic move on their part, because of emerging markets who don't have an unlimited data plan on their network carrier, meaning that they can't keep their devices connected 24/7. They probably realised their mistake.

Not just emerging markets that don't have much data, I only get about 200MB a month! But yeah, I'm glad that the SD card permissions have been returned to how they were before. Now, if they could bring back the old silent mode...

I'm gonna rely on you to tell me what Lollipop is like on the Z2 before I update mine.

 But so far the Z3 build seems stable, so fingers crossed.

oh wait Z2 now rolling
