Misterstatic, just curious why you have both the T500 and the GT2? Do you use the T500 only for PS3 and PC, and the GT2 for Xbox? How do you have them set up? On separate wheel stands?

Just curious.

Thanks!

My PS3 is in my home office with my PC; this is where the T500 resides I have a triple monitor setup on a desk, which doubles as an efficient workspace. My PS3 LCD is on a swing arm that I can swing in front of the triple-monitors when I want to play GT5 with the T500.

The 360 is in the family den with the large screen, so the GT2 was purchased for that.

@MisterStatic, how are you liking those Fanatec CSPs over the brakes that come with the T500rs? I've been thinking of adding on a pair eventually since I mostly game on my PC.

I was using the CSPs exclusively with the T500 and a Lightning SST Shifter until the GT2 arrived. I like the CSPs over the T500 pedals enough that I will probably swap them if it is going to be a long racing session. I highly recommend this setup for iRacing.

I'm currently looking into which games will support CSP brake vibration with this setup

The only one that I can get vibration support on is rFactor, and it is pretty poor compared to the Forza implementation with the GT2.

The CS brake pedal vibrates in Forza (and all other games for that matter) if you set the Wheel's ABS setting to around 80 or lower (self-preference). So when you hit the brakes hard (beyond 80%), the CS brake pedal shakes to notify the driver and prevent him from locking the brakes. Very useful feature which is not provided by the game itself.

how do you turn illumination on in PC mode? The PDF manual doesnt explain how and I do not have access to my paper quick start quide at the moment.

On my PWTS wheel illumination in PC mode is a feature of the OC software. There is a tick box marked "wheel illumination".. Tick it and your good to go.

The only thing the motor is too weak especially when wearing any kind of shoe which the CSP seemed to be designed for. It's hard for me to notice much rumble from both the wheel and brake pedal but that's probably because I got two Buttkickers hook up to my rig. The two Buttkickers under my seat rumbles the wheel a lot more than the wheel's motors.

Hey, I have the GT3RSV2 with CSP´s... Now I want to play FM3 after I´m bored with GT5. Also I want to get ready for FM4, that was the major reason I ordered the GT2 today.

I live in Germany... Anybody from Germany, is the wheel available? Or are there huge waiting times?

Another question, my GT3 makes noices when it get´s warm. I wrote to Fanatec and they want an video from me to "hear" the problem. First, I have no cam and second, I don´t think they can solve the problem with an video?

They sayed, if there are problems, they will send me an new GT3... Do they want the damaged one back? I want to sell my GT3 but with this noices I can´t sell it for an good price...

Do you know if the standard fanatec pedals have it??
I don't think so but somebody told me something like that.

Thanx

I hook up my CSPs direct USB with my T500 as the wheel for PC racing. In this setup, I could only get rFactor pedal vibration to work with the driver integrated into the Porsche Wheel Control Panel App, and it was almost imperceptible.

I believe if a GT2 is hooked up directly via the PS2 cable to a Forza wheel, the
above quoted method by ayholic is correct.

That's correct. If the CSP is connected via USB then the software needs to support vibration. If the CSP is daisy chained to the wheel using the PS/2 cable the vibration is controlled via the wheel and can be tweaked in the tuning menu. Keep in mind the pedal resolution is 1024 bits via USB but only 256 via PS/2.

My oh My these boys have been busy:

So basically it looks to me like a good competitor to the G25 for a cheaper price.

I'm curious to see if a simillar wheel will be made that is XBox 360 compatible

@ Fanatec.......I hope you don't mind me quoting your blog but I thought that people would be interested who may not be able to stretch to the value of the PWT & PWTS

Does this wheel work with gt5? If so, SOLDD!!

Does anyone have a Phone number for contact info for Fanatec?

I just ordered a GT2, CSP's and a rennsport stand but on my shipping it looks like it didn't take my Apartment number :ouch:

I emailed Fanatec with no reply. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

How many apartments in your block mate?

For this Specific Address it is A,B, And C. I emailed them with the correct information but have not got confirmation on it.

I just don't want $700 worth of equipment on some other individuals door step. haha

Try sending an e-mail to support.
I'm pretty sure their stuck too without an address number.

I emailed support last night after I noticed it on the Invoice but I haven't heard any word from them. I also included my Phone number for them to contact me with any further questions.

Hmm. Someone on here had a direct phone number to them or there warehouse but I can't get him to reply to me. Thanks for the help folks.

I think it's AGP500 if memory serves me.

If your in the states he has the number and contact info.

Or Fanatec... Of course. Yes do put dots on the end lol.

My GT2 arrived today (ordered Thu 6/9, shipped 6/16, UPS said would arrive tomorrow Tue but came 1 day early today by surprise).

So far from trying it out with my existing G27 pedals, it's working great with PC (netkarPro, Dirt3), PS3 (GT5), XBox360 (FM3).

First impressions so far compared to G27 - I love the feel, smell and forcefeedback which feels more precise than the G25 and G27, also love being able to do settings on the wheel itself, the "ABS" setting is working great with my Nixim modded G27 pedals. The shift buttons/paddles on mine are fine and not floppy.

Overall good experience so far compared to the G27, FF feels more accurate on PC since there is no deadzone, and I can finally drift cars in GT5 since with the drift mode the wheel turns quickly enough to catch the slides, also works great with ABS=0 which G27 would lock too easily, and last but not least I can finally use a wheel on FM3.

The only thing that is so-so is what others have said that the alcantara leather muffles the vibration effects somewhat, but so far setting the FF "Force" to 70 and vibration "Shock" to 100 seems to be a good balance. I also ordered the clubsport mount but haven't needed it yet, will try that later.

Anyhow good luck to the others that have orders in, my experience with Fanatec so far is a good one (besides the confusing "shipping now" email), I will keep my fingers crossed that it stays that way and hope others are lucky as well. If so I may be in the market for the new CSR shifter or pedals.

Glad to be set for FM4 release later this year, now time to work on my FM3 career to carry across some good cars to FM4.

Good luck, mine didn't work.:grumpy:

That sucks 👎

Luckily mine seems to be working fine so far. I really like the GT2, but can't say I like it more than the G27. They're both good wheels, and Im sure I'll be even happier with the GT2 when FM4 comes out.

Jeff I felt exactly the same when I had my GT2.

It was only after going back to my G27 that I noticed the difference.

Weird that.

Meaning that you liked the GT2 more after going back to the G27? I think once I get a shifter for the GT2 and dial in the wheel settings there's a chance that may happen, but not sure yet. Definitely happy with my purchase so far though. 👍

I've been waiting to hear more about the new shifter, but for only $30 Im considering just picking up the standard shifters for now. Are they worth it?
