Looks like mine's on the way as well. Got shipped today, have two UPS numbers. So you can clock my order as one that took about five days to ship after payment - doesn't seem too bad. I'll have to bite some extra shipping cost because I forgot to include the shifters on my first order, but oh well. I think I'm okay paying a little extra for them.

Looking forward particularly to finally trying to tame the "Yellow Bird" in GT5. It's almost impossible to control with the gamepad. I'd expect plenty of sideways driving with a wheel, but at least you can keep it under some sort of control.

UPS date says the 29th - might have to take the next day off. :D

buwahaha...that interview with Thomas was great and damn that F1 style wheel looks awesome!!!

edit: Still loving the GT2 on FM3 and GT5 :crosses fingers:

Was playing with the ClubSport Pedals tonight with some friends and they started to squeak when you pressed the gas... after a few hours of playing they had gotten real loud. WD-40 didn't help, but if you pull the spring back a bit while pressing the gas there's no squeak. They're only about two weeks old.

Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

I haven't bothered to lube around my pedal springs yet. The throttle is the only one that bugs me. It got loud for me when I replaced the stock throttle spring with the softer clutch spring from the tuning kit. I then adjusted the pretensioning nut on the throttle to make it a bit firmer. I have found that if I rotate the spring around the throttle shaft I can find a position where it makes much less noise, to the point where I don't notice it while driving.

I wish I understood this post... I will try tightening/rotating random things a little later when I'm at the wheel.

Just wondering if you replaced those plastic pedal bearings with the brass ones that come with the kit?

I put in the new brass bushings. The nylon ones were fine, but the brass parts seem to offer a more precise fit. Make sure to use the included metal lube when installing them. If your ClubSport Pedals were manufactured more recently they may already have them. I heard they now have brass bushings standard, and the brass brake and throttle pivot pins are now steel.

Nice to see orders are getting turned around quickly now. Just pulled the trigger...going to retire the g25 and xb wheel.

Yea, looks like mine will be here at the end of next week. If you just ordered (I ordered last sunday) I received shipping information Friday so it will be a couple weeks I'm guessing with your case as well. I've talked to a couple other members that had ordered theirs in recent weeks and that seems to be the case.

Good luck, I can't wait til my setup gets here.

Knock on wood that UPS has no delays, mine will be one week exactly. Ordered this past Thursday and it should be here this Thursday.

Just ordered my playseat evo alacantra from amazon, thanks to amazon prime that should be here Tuesday. I am giddy with excitement, perfect timing with the holiday weekend.

It'll give me an excuse to get back into gt5 and finally experience forza the way it was meant to be played. 👍

I actually got rid of gt5 a few months after it came out. I still play Forza just as much but F1 and dirt3 have a lot of my time as well.

Im gonna buy gt5 again this week and see how much the experience changes with the wheel.

Shoot me a friend request if you want.

Turbo306 LX for 360
Turbo306LX for Ps3 - no space for ps3

I might actually be able to beat that Vettel challange now...i still dont know how some people did that with a controller...

I just have a general question about Fanatec. I just got my tracking numbers today so I'm pumped but then I started wondering...

I know this product comes with a 2 year warranty. What happens if it breaks down the road but they stopped making GT2 wheels?

I'm guessing if somebody bought the first Porsche wheel and it broke, they couldn't get a replacement since it's currently not being made. Would Fanatec give credit towards another wheel? I'm wondering how this works and if anyone has run into this issue.

I must say though, giving a 2 year warranty on this thing makes me feel very comfortable purchasing it.

@Franjo,

If it makes you feel better, they still have Turbo S's laying around for those still under the 2 yr warranty. They made only "10,000" for production sales purposes. Most likely more for replacements. So, the same will go for the GT2 or any Fanatec wheel. Heck, you can still get the Turbo S in Europe off of playseats.com, even though it is out of production. And those will be covered for the 2 year warranty.

In less than 24hr hours received the Fanatec "your order has shipped" email. I know all that means is they took the order, and it's not packed and out the door yet...but it was a surprise. Last time I ordered something "in-stock" from them, didn't get the shipped email for 3-4 days.

Spreading out a bit of Fanatec love.

Received my throttle sensor replacement with a spare for my brake/clutch.

Big thanks to Alex of Fanatec. It works great.

Took a bit of patients on my part but they delivered again.

So my kit came in a day early. Got a chance to put it together, put the H-shifter in place and the CSP connected. My first wheel, and I must say... it's quite awesome. 👍

Played a bit on GT5, and even though I drive a stick, rowing the gears I think will take a bit of getting used to (I'm not used to having the stick next to the wheel, so it feels a little different). The force feedback is pretty impressive and the pedals are incredible.

The funny thing about this is that I had my girlfriend over when it arrived. I asked her to try it out, and she stated that she didn't like that it "drove itself". But she kept getting better and I think liked it quite a bit. That, and she doesn't know how to drive stick, but I talked her through it and I think now she might actually be able to drive a manual on a real car much more effectively than she would have without hands-on "training". She stalled it a few times (popped it into neutral, as it can't actually shut off), but after she got the hang of it was doing quite well.

And that made the breaking in of the Fanatec that much more fun.

One quick question for owners out there - I haven't installed the paddle shifters yet, but it appears they come with the full paddles plus another bit (same material as the paddles) that fits right behind the button. However, the included screws don't fit all the way through both AND into the buttons. Is there a specific way this is supposed to be done?

I have the GT2 and the screws should be long enough to attach the paddle shifters along with that extra piece to the paddles on the wheel.....I didn't have a problem with the screws being too short.

Wiggs - I figured the same thing should be the case with mine, but I've tried connecting both and it looks like the thread is too deep to reach when I put them together. I'll look at it some more and see if there's a way, but I did spend a while poking around without much success. Perhaps find slightly longer screws?

Hmmmm, maybe they supplied you with the wrong screws. You can probably find longer screws at a hardware store...it would be less of a hassle than trying to get Fanatec to send you 4 screws.

Thanks, I think I'll do that. Only things it looks like I need are new screws and a USB extender, so it was pretty good to go right out of the box. Not too shabby, but - Fanatec, why do you have to have such a puny lengthed USB cable? :irked:

Quick turnaround for me as well.
This Monday, at 1am Pacific Time, I placed my order.
Tuesday afternoon, I had the 'Your order <#> will be shipped now" message.
Tuesday evening I got my first UPS shipment notification (UPS notified of a shipment)
Today (Wed) I verified its shipped and its on its way.. since I'm on the west coast (Puget Sound) I'll have it by Friday.
Order to in my fingers in about 5 business days.

Nice.
