Quality issues, no tracking info, delayed shipping, doesn't sound like the 3rd shipment will sell out like the first two. I was waiting to hear reviews before I ordered one myself. Doesn't look like I'll be buying a toy Porsche wheel anytime soon...

To be fair I agree Fanatec could do certain things a lot better.
Lets not jump to any conclusions yet.

Ill have a proper indepth report on the link/thread shown earlier...
Like others here im nervous about GT5 not being supported and will be upset as anyone else here will be.

I won't be getting a new wheel before the end of this year, so I have time enough to find out if the GT3RS with CSP are any good with the PS3, GT5, SHIFT,...

If it is not what I expect it to be, I'll stick with a logitech wheel. Probably the new G27.

:)

I'm sure glad I ordered the Turbo S and not the GT3 RS. I like the look of the GT3 RS, but I did the math and it just didn't bode well for the little orange wheel. Considering, the Turbo S works with ALL Playstation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 games.... out of the box, it was a no brainer.

All of you worried about the GT3 RS not working with GT5:P, it's most likely a driver issue, and thus fixable. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I sure am hearing a lot of people getting their wheels delivered broken. I do hope they have this all figured out before they release the Turbo S next month.

EDIT: For those of you who have received your Clubsport Pedals. Does it come with a pedal cable to attach to the wheel? I'm wondering if I should buy a couple cables (one for relocating the shifter, and one for the pedals).

;)

Mine is faulty too guys...

Power button is locked tight, cant turn the product on at all.

Thomas if your reading Id reach for the "Paracetamol" cos looks like youve got a problem on your hands...

Will retry later guys and check again but sorry cant be much more help at the moment.

Additionally:
I DO NOT SEE ANY ADAPTER OR LEAD FOR G25 / X360 WHEEL CONNECTION
The only cable is a USB and PS2 cable supplied with the products.

Ive emailed Thomas on this and await his response.
Has ANYONE else got such a CABLE or ADAPTER with theirs?

it seems like lots of problems with the new wheel, and pedals. I haven't really seen any kind reviews yet. You shouldn't have to take the pedals apart after you buy them, and change the type of lubricant they used, or cut a piece of styrofoam to keep the motor from rattling. Hopefully all of these problems are fixed before they start sending out the turbo s wheels. I seriously doubt microsoft would allow the wheels to be released with any of the bugs the GT3 RS wheel is having.
I'm sure though, no matter what bugs the turbo s wheel has, it will be better then the current 360 wheel. For 400$ though, it better work perfectly straight out of the box.

The simple mod to the gas pedal makes it a lot more like the actual placement found in a 911 (and most cars). In addition, the clutch pad needs to move to the left. I still want those pedals, maybe I'll just order those to use with a G25, assuming that works.

UPS just dropped my wheel off a few minutes ago  I won't have a chance to hook the thing up and test it until later tonight. I just hope the thing works with GT5P. I'll give you guys an update later tonight...and a review if the thing works :scared:

Oh no, unlucky M8 :(

I am pretty sure Fanatec will provide you with a replacement ASAP.

Strange the adapter is missing, wonder if anybody else has looked for this adapter.

Thanks, although ive got my wheel working and have been testing it for the past 2 hours. Its not good news though but you can read about it on GTF linked earlier.

Regards the adapter-lead that is missing PLEASE report if you have on and upload a photo, I want to know if this is mine or have Fanatec cocked up?

So far i have a potentially duff wheel still and without this cable/adapter we cant even test the friggin pedals with G25 or X360 wheel, damn, damn, damn. :grumpy:

Bad news im afraid, well on mine that is...

yup in CA... good thing we're not in WV anymore, it was really a hard month for us waiting and still getting some bugs.... which i hope would just be a simple upgrade.

btw i did an ocular check it has a small scratch on the orange panel :ouch: i dunno know if its from the way it was packaged since it's on the front edge...
the CSP is really solid and hope it's more robust than the logitech's... and man! talk about how it weighs 👍

May still have a wonky wheel...

Got GT5P working now, but it cuts out reports the 888 spins to reposition.
Seems to do this at random.

Good luck with you guys who maybe have a working wheel.

I hear if you change time it might help, but that was long time resolved.... but heck worth a shot ;)

Man still waiting, nothing today, maybe tomorrow!
I bet if we get faulty wheels, Fanatec will and should replace them.

By the way, my question.

Before with TURBO S wheel GT5Prologue was working, then GT5Prologue had a patch, wheel did not work, then Fanatec had a patch and fixed it?

I don't get it, on PC and my G25 its patchable and you can use the driver, on PS3 G25 is not patchable, how that works with Fanatec wheels on consoles?
Will RS be patchable to PS3 too ?

my power on button is also stuck, i guess its 3 of us now have the problem... i'm on my way home to have it finally tested on GTR2.

word of caution or it might just my stupidity... don't fully pull out the table clamp. i was not able to return it back. i'll try to decipher it later coz i don't want to force it back.

wish me luck guys...

You're kidding right?!

Microsoft would never release a buggy product!

Now that I think about it, I am on my 5th 360 as we speak. I'm just hoping the 360 wheel had to go through more testing then the GT3 wheel. It's looking really, really bad so far, for the new wheel. I've never heard this many product complaints on this forum before.

1 in 3 Xbox 360 FAILS
Vista.. cough cough I understand it had problems back then, but still now? comon.
The first Microsoft wheels could cause fire... many did over heat..

yeah..

About complains of GT3 wheel, So far i count less then 10 user complains. Over time I've seen more complains and problems form LOGITECH. But all can be replaced under warranty.

Even with 10 complaints, it is a concern to someone like me who might be interested in the GT3. And I'm pretty sure there isn't that many GT3 out there especially compared to the G25, for example.

Well yeah, but they are sold out on the first badge, So it could be Thousands or tens of thousands.. other wise it's money waste if they only make below 1000 wheels.

Even new DF GT wheels have a lot of complains from pedals, but it's easy replacement form Logitech with no problems, but lets hope FANATEC can replace them as well.

Xbox 360 wheel it´s okay for one run through on Forza 2. Then the steering column is so loose it´s hard to live with. It´s loose from the beginning but just gets worse and worse.

Ive complained to Thomas that the "Quick Guide" instructions are totally innacurate on part (4). Hes told me the switch is acutally a Dummy switch, so guys your switch isnt faulty. Its just someone never bothered to make sure the bleedin instructions or "Quick Guide" actually was accurate to the product.

*TRY PULLING THE POWER LEAD OUT THEN IN AGAIN

Also, Thomas is YET to respond to my mail regards "Adapter Cable" mentioned in N0.2 on the quick guide. It clearly states as the "website did prior to now being changed" that to use the GT3RS with G25 or X360 Pedals you used this adapter. ITS MISSING IT SEEMS ON EVERYONES?
So if youve ordered this wheel and had planned to use those pedals looks like at the moment you cant as no lead/adapter.

Thomas also told me the other day as i reported here about the black paddles and he said they changed them, WHAT oh why then do we all get the silver ones in the box to use if we want, that isnt "we changed them to the black as they are more ergonomic" does this company know what its doing, totally frustrating...

It seems they cant print instructions, cant add items to the box, cant have the wheel working with GT5 (date problem still) and on top of that the pedals have no instructions, but were to go onto you tube to dismantle a $200 product and replace the wrong lubricant.

BRILLANT!!!

Really im close to my limit on this...
Yet the wheel when its working is FANTASTIC!

The only problem with the power plug is that the quick guide is wrong. There is no power button! It is just a dummy.

The wheel will start working as soon as you connect the USB cord to PC or console.

You must set back the system date to make it work on PS3.

But I have to admit that we indeed forgot to ship the pedal adapter cables. We will bring them in by airshipment and supply to you asap. Please send an email to our e-support to make a claim for the cable. Thanks.

Mr latte, I can understand your anger but please note that this wheel is clearly not announced to be 100% compatible with the console. It is a PC wheel! If you like full compatibility please go for the Turbo S.

I also do not understand what the problem is to include the silver paddles additionally and free of charge. Some customers will prefer it and you get some choice.

The plug was killed in a last minute decision as it did not stand the power we need for the wheel. At that time we did not want to change the manuals again and delay the shipment. We did not expect that people actually think that the button is defective because the wheel should work fine. Of course we will now change the instructions.

We decided to make a video manual for the CSP as it is much easier to explain than making a paper manual and it will not take you that much time to read it. Of course we still need to get our support site fixed.
