My three...

Will there ever be online time trial leaderboards? (Seasonal events don't count!)

Will there ever be proper races that resemble, even a little bit, that take place in Motorsport?

Are you scared of Project Cars, if not, why not?

As true as that is, PD's closed nature has created a lot of issues too. They do need to move into this new age where developers and consumers talk to each other, whether it be on Twitter, through a Facebook page, or an official forum - it happens, and usually jobs get done (see the many many many Battlefield 4 bug reports and subsequent fixes).

I trust PD to sift through the feedback well enough to determine what's an actual, well thought out issue/request ;p
I dont think this is something from a "new age". There are companies that have been listening to consumers since long ago, and companies that haven't. Listening to consumers is not necessarily a good thing. Companies should create great products by themselves, and not necessarily need the help of consumers to make a great product, and sometimes this help does backfire because it spoils the product more than fixing it.

Will we see adjustments added for tire pressure, caster, steering ratio, fast and slow dampers, etc. In GT6?

How long do you plan to support GT6 with updates and DLC?

What was the last car you purchased in your lifetime?

Honestly, I dont think this is a good idea for them.
The "user base" includes novices, players without skill and knowledge, kids... I mean I dont think they would like to receive a massive amount of demands and complaints which some of them would be pointless... Example: "MR cars are easy to spin, fix them PD"

Just to clarify, in my second point I was thinking of the reverse flow, PD communicating more with the user base. Whether that be what's happening with updates, what the course editor will be like, or how does chassis wear work, what does each tyre represent in real life etc...

Also why should the categories you mention have less of a voice? Should GT be elitist? They're all PDs customers, and PD should be interested in what they all have to say, not just the top x% of drivers. That said, I really don't think people who are not that into the game would 'waste their (the users, not PDs) time' doing such things. If they never get round to turning aids off in the game, they're not necessarily going to communicate with PD. Even if they did, it would be just the same as companies who have Facebook or Twitter presence. Sure they have to field comments from idiots, but they also get a lot of positives.

I agree about the bold part.
I'm not saying it should be elitist, just that the players should have some level of game knowledge and experience.

PD maybe should take an example in how Project CARS or Star Citizen communicate with their funders.
(Forum, 10 for the chairman...)

Of course it is work to sort whining from good ideas and verify alleged bugs, but in the end it is win/win i think, they would get a lot of good ideas, information and testing for little effort.

It would us give at least the feeling that they care about what we want and maybe would make it easier to understand why they made things like they are and not different.

-physics on mr cars
Stupid question.

You could ask why the Gallardo handles total different than the R8 V10 although they are very equal IRL (share lots of parts).
Or why on some cars the back swerves around violently under braking in a straight line and on other comparable cars it does not.
(I don't call them broken, i love that not all the cars feel the same BUT on a few cars it seems a little bit exaggerated)

The gallardo issue, i can help, its lighter i believe close or over 100kg, and, has diferent suspension setup, koni fsd vs audi magnetic, weight distribution, little lower cg,(specially because of lots of sound deadening material removed) and a sportier mapping, wich makes it a very diferent animal. If u compare superlegera its even bigger a diference. The r8 also has i believe up to 5-10% more front traction bias, to be easier on the street and safer.
Do a little diff tuning that it will help, but i believe pd tried to exagerate and indicate clearly wich cars they think are ,uhmmm, not so good...

Why would we ask such finite questions? such as: Where's this specific car in premium, or why does this one car do this, or just too specific questions that only help .01% of us.

Also, asking him about how we can get more feedback from PD, when he is clearly reaching out with the offer of feedback is a slap in the face. "hey guys if you have some Q's for me I will try to give you some feedback." Our response: "Yeah how about getting us more feedback that would be nice." Bad Idea! I would steer clear of that Question all together.

We need to ask genre/category specific questions such as: a question about customization, which if worded properly could range from races/events to livery to tire pressure, ect. The next could be about Online which could range from shuffle races to DLC to how long they plan on supporting GT6 with updated software. And the third can be about the future of GT as whole and any ideas they have in the works that could get our mouths salivating.

Wording is crucial...if it's done right we could get a wealth of information..if done incorrectly we could get a typical bland response.

Now someone please help ron86 make a poll!

Axe, Despite the admirable effort to make us happy, he is being a gt fan(that happens to work there) answering the questions, has some power to leak light stuff and not get fired but he's not a pd channel oficially and most fans would like a position in this stand. Its 2014 and pd says its becoming an online game, so they gotta be online too.
A simple "we tried but ps3 can't handle, or that project is there but below a pile of other stuff"would suffice. if we were close to them and them to the car makers, why cant we get cars we want, pd money, and the brand exposure? Who loses, besides other racing games?
One single try and they would probably see a rise in dlc purchases. And its not like i'm talking loco, here, is it?
Edit
No offense to vgt cars, but its an bodykitted sls with gt5 grip and handling and i'd rather have amg hammer(no matter how bad it drives) clk gtr premium, the black series family
E190 with senna stickers, premium interior and senna character on the ring? Cmon! Only thing better would be an ai driver named lauda, and some others? Epic and a true piece of racing history.

Ah, well, I was using "new age" as a more generalized term, as the whole social networking and almost around-the-clock connectivity has really reached a height unheard of years ago.

I agree companies can, have, and will make great products alone - but the customer is always right. And if any business wishes to stay high on people's "these guys are pretty chill I like their stuff" lists, they will have to consider the popular fan requests, as these are tell-tale signs of what needs adding and/or improving for future releases. So long as they use their own intuition as well as feedback, great stuff can be achieved.

PD should and really have to start listening to their fans, otherwise you get the complaint-based-community that is the GTPlanet GT6 Section. D:

No, the customer is not alway right. This is only some old saying to make the customers happy and be friendly with them. I know this well because I worked in a commercial sales company.

And by this logic, do you think Ferrari, Lamborghini and all these exclusive car makers should listen to people and try to make affordable cars? I mean, isn't the customer (or potential customer) always right? I'm sure they would want a Ferrari for 1/10th the price. Let's try to contact Luca Di Montezemolo by twitter and other social networks :sly:

You see what I mean I suppose. The whole thing has gone a bit surreal.

Hmm, I see your point in a way - but also note when I said "So long as they use their own intuition". PD aren't daft, they just don't get any outsider input. An alternative opinion can go a long way. Occasionally this can be found from fans which are able to contact at least a representative directly.

But ferrari did the california, made cars more street friendly, like that kit to lift the car 3-4 cm to get out of garages, porsche did 4 new kinds of cars, bentley doing an suv... its an age you can't afford to lose much business elswhere. What if pcars is all the whiners dream? Sounds, physics, support, etc. Would you give kaz another chance?
Cost of getting an old costumer back is a few times bigger than getting new ones. So the costumer is always right, otherwise you lose more money...
Edit for spain economic chrisis joke, nixxon,
So you're saying that in a economy thats not doing so well, you can afford to lose costumers?
I see... Lol

You will never be able to please everybody. Never ever. There will always be customer preferences. Always some customers will prefer this, others will prefer that, exactly the same as some people like Ferraris, others like Paganis, Jaguars, Porsches...
The problem with the last thing you said, is not so much about wining or losing customers... is that the customers don't have money :) and this issue is worth an entire thread so I dont think we should go more offtopic.

I hear ya, but thought apropriate/ funny because after posting i saw you were from barca... but look at the past 20 years at the vag group, how far they have come? From a fiasco in the usa where there was unintencional accel and burned audi for decades, now they earn money from selling a ****** up , to golfs, to ducatis, to audis, to porsches, to lambo and bugatti, so theres 50/50 chance or as close to that as they could make ,so u will consider a vag brand car. Be it to comute, dream, drive etc.
If you were between some cars in game to buy irl, and loved driving the golf R, wich dealership would you go first?

1) Are we going to have more customization options? Such as a livery editor, original optional parts (wheels/rims, aero parts) ,aero parts/kits from (Zender, TRD, Nismo, Mugen,Spoon, etc), bring back Today's special from GT4.

2) Are we going to have all the standards updated to premium or semi-premium for GT6 or GT7?

3) Are we going to have the possibility to create custom races?

My questions for PD would be these:
1. When will you finally be able to give us more proper customization & tuning options for cars (engine swaps, drivetrain swaps, livery editor, more body kit options, & etc)?

2. What cars do you plan on adding in dlc or in GT7?

3. Are you going to consider ever bringing these original courses back in GT at all?
- Red Rock Valley
- Seattle (Full, Short)
- Special Stage Route 11
- El Capitan
- Roma (Classic Circuit, Rome Night, Rome Short)
- Grindelwald
- Paris (George V & Opera)
- Grand Canyon
- Complex String
- New York Circuit

While it would be nice if racers like P CARS, Asseto Corsa and rFactor 2 would nudge PD into improving Gran Turismo games, PC sims have been there for more than a decade and haven't threatened Gran Turismo. Even Forza doesn't, really.

Some game elements are decidedly game related things, like the Course Maker, Livery Editor, Event Maker etc.

But most of what Kaz wants to do in Gran Turismo is purely related to the real world. Giving us racing series, representing leagues, giving us a chance to create leagues online when that is finally ready to go, even the Livery Editor in a sense, as every race car driver gets his own custom livery.

Seeing what other racers are doing isn't a bad idea. But what sets Gran Turismo apart is how Kaz and the team set about giving us that encyclopedic world of motorsports in the game they make. Getting requests for little details from the fans is all well and good, but I want Kaz and the team to keep focusing on making Gran Turismo mostly the way they always have.
