Anybody out there following the Grand Am?

^ I didn't expect them to be that much slower.. and can we not report the winners of the Continental race until next weekend when SPEED shows it? Just saying for those of us that want to watch it. Cool video Turbo 👍

But we can report leaders, right? :P

ST leader = Skull Candy Nissan Altima. Edit: now in 2nd...

Doran 370Z is in 10th 5th currently. 👍

Happy about the ST winner. For some reason the Duran 370Z dropped way down the order in the last 10 minutes. Not sure what happened.

Don't spoil it!!!!!

Don't look in the Grand-Am thread if you don't want to know results.💡 That would be like saying don't discuss the F1 winners because there is a time delay in some areas, it's not going to happen.

I feel like I'm never going to make it to Daytona! We took long way across SC and then had tire blow out right after GA line. Hopefully tomorrow we will be there by 9 am, we are in Jacksonville for the night.

What time does the race start?

Almost there dude! Just 2 more hrs of driving, you'll be fine!

Pretty there was some guidelines that specifically state that you wait for abit before posting the results. Went something like this:

if an event of any type is going on, and there's a thread, don't reveal the results for a little while. There's no set time frame, but try to be considerate

Not saying you don't have point, but I swear one of the mods posted something like that.

It's from the reminders thread, I will highlight some stuff.:)
3. No "spoilers" in the thread titles.
If you don't know what a spoiler is, it's when you announce in the title: "Fisichella wins the Belgian GP!" or "Yoong scores his first points"…you get the idea. Do not give away the race or qualifying results in the thread title, you will be universally hated around here. Keep in mind that not everyone gets to see the race live (like me!), and not everyone even gets to see the race on the same day. Of course, you can talk about the results inside the thread!

4. Don't spoil results of sporting events, controversies, incidents, accidents in other threads at GTPlanet.
Seriously, that's just not cool...if an event of any type is going on, and there's a thread, don't reveal the results for a little while. There's no set time frame, but try to be considerate*. We can't enforce this 100%, as these are guidelines, not absolute rules, save for what the staff deems as unnecessary post(s) and/or unnecessary behavior that violates the Acceptable Use Policy.

* On the other hand, if it's several days after the event, perhaps lurking about an internet forum that's heavily-based on automobiles and motorsport is not a wise idea, if you're still expecting the results to not be spoiled or kept secret in some way. Let's have fun here this season, even if the racing isn't always so!

The "little while" part is referencing other threads that are not discussing the series or race.

Anyways, go Action Express!!!

I thought people would want to know the results. If I wouldn't have said the results today, someone would've tomorrow or this Tuesday. The broadcast isn't until next Saturday. Technically, if we talked about the finishing order before next Saturday, it's a spoiler. If the broadcast was tomorrow, I wouldn't have posted the winners. That's a spoiler for sure. I know what the moderators have said about spoilers. From my interpretation, it's only for races that are maybe 24 hour tape delay like f1 in some places. I'm sorry if I made anyone mad.

We meant for thread titles. So if you don't want to know Grand Am results, you stay away from the Grand Am thread. If you don't want to know the latest NASCAR results, you stay away from that thread. And so on, and so forth.

What we want to avoid are seperate "congratulations" threads, or any such thread which nearly-really-soon afterward revel or discuss the results both in a seperate thread (which may or may not be in the Motorsports section) and/or a different thread. I think a week is a good span of time, because some series just have another race in 7 days' time.

We want to allow a thread with discussions of the event meeting and the race/game/match itself, but we're also not responsible for what's revealed (within the AUP, or course) inside that thread.
