Anybody out there following the Grand Am?

Doesn't really matter if he is the dirtiest driver around, he still had the right to his line on that corner.

My point is: notice how much more room he gave Valiante in the same corner. Memo knew yacaman was on a short leash and wanted to draw contact. It's not just yacaman as the guilty party.

Cool! :D

Is this Fall Line's first ever Rolex GT entry? I know them from CTSCC, but I don't recall seeing them in GARSCS.

They rented the second Stevenson camaro at the Rolex 24 two years ago, but this is their first effort under the fall line name. The deal is for the rest of this season and next season

Excellent. And if Rum Bum and APR roll out their R8s for the 6 hour the number of Audis could break even with the Ferraris.

Alex Job has the #24 Audi racing along with fall line. I'm hoping rum bum and APR will field the Audis as well :)

Not Fall Line BMW..... :ouch: This is going to take some time to adjust to...

"Yeah, man, I like the way that Fall Line B- AUDI looks. Yeah, I know it's an Audi, I promise I'm not an idiot, I just... I watch too much Continental Tire racing."

I do watch too much continental as well. I'm guessing the switch to Audi is because Audi has the spec advantage and the Bmw gt car is prep 2 tube frame chassis not from Bmw.

And there's also the fact that (at least from what I read), the car is essentially the M5 they ran years ago with a different body (like how the Camaro was the GXP-R chassis with a different body) so its pretty old.

Yep. The camaro used to be a gxp-r which used to be a corvette prep 2 before that. The Turner m3 is an m3 body on a prep 2 chassis like you said. All Turner did to change was fabricate a mew body and change engines. All the Mazda rx8 cars in Gagt were prep 2 as well. The Ferrari, Audi, Porsche, and the whelen corvette are all prep 1 street car chassis.

Although not officially confirmed in the entry list, Doran previously announced plans to run the 6 Hours at the Glen with their new gen 3 car they originally debuted at Daytona.

It will be John Bennett and Colin Braun because Jim Lowe has an injured arm. Dr. Lowe will return for ims.

Both of whom are pretty decent drivers. While I doubt it will happen, given their lack of experience running the car, I really hope they put up a good showing.

Colin knows his way around a DP pretty well considering he co-drove with Jorg Bergmeister the year he won the drivers championship. John is unfamiliar though.

As per grand am.com, the second 8Star motorsports DP is on the entry list for the Sahlens 6 with Luis Diaz and Emilio DiGuila driving :)

cnd will you be at Watkins Glen this upcoming weekend?

Really wish I could be, but it's too expensive for me to fly up there just for the weekend from Alabama. I have some college fraternity parties this weekend also, so I won't be at the Glen :(

Interesting developments for the Sahlen's 6.

First: some eye candy from 8Star and MSR https://twitter.com/8starmotor/status/349506114909528064/photo/1

Next: More MSR news as Antonio Pizzonia is out, Justin Wilson is in http://us1.campaign-archive2.com/?u=a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c&id=8fe119d5fd

Now some speculation: There is an IndyCar team(that's not currently in grand am) rumored to be seriously looking into fielding a DP. Justin Wilson won an IndyCar race a few years ago for Dale Coyne at the Glen, so could this development be a toe in the water for Dale Coyne?

Will Justin really be able to prove anything? I mean if Yacaman starts the car he might as well forget it..

Yacaman didn't do anything wrong until belle isle and mid Ohio. Pizzonia was the driver that was rough housing until now.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for the Glen, should be another awesome weekend!

You'll get to watch the 100th IMSA Porsche GT3 cup race in addition to the CTSCC and Rolex races. :)

In DP news: Starworks has added Pierre Kaffer in the #8 car along with the usual Scott Mayer and Brendan Hartley.

I'm heading up to the track tomorrow, and I'm already seeing signs of race teams in town. Private jets are flying overhead every 20 minutes, and I'm seeing Ferrari 458s and Porsche GT3s driving around my local town just a few miles south of the track. Looks like there will be some rain tomorrow to. Should be fun. :D
