Anybody out there following the Grand Am?

Leh Keen will finish off the season with Scuderia Corsa! Glad to see Leh get another full time ride, he's a great talent. Him and Balzan should be a GT powerhouse.

We also see 15 DP on the entry list. That's a pretty solid number even though the merger next season. As long as Montoya doesn't treat the other cars like jet dryers, it's going to be a great race.

Not sure if that's supposed to be a joke or not, but he was pretty good about not using his car as a tank at the 24 Hour so I don't see the need for the concern (or the bringing up of it).

People are going to use accident for longest time as if he even had any control in it. It's old and played out but no one brings up Mark Martin parking with one lap to go while leading.

Maybe JPM can lay down the fastest laps of this race too!

Juan seems to be faster in the DP's then his Cup car. :odd:

To be fair, he's had some good runs that just ended in bad finishes.

It's official, the GX class will no longer stand alone, rather they will merge it with GTD. This is both good and bad. What's good is that there will be no more GX as a category as it had all of thee cars in it. What's bad is that now we'll have tube frame Mazda 6s competing with Ferrari 458s and Audi R8s (lame).

It appears JPM won't be in DP's at Indy.

Tony Kanaan, Joey Hand To Drive Second Ganassi DP At Indianapolis

One hell of a gesture by Chip to let the Indy 500 winner drive a DP at..Indy :D

Wow, never seen an "Aston Martion" before ;) :P

Anyhow, its about damn time.

I was beginning to think that trg was BSing about the whole program. They were supposed to debut at COTA

Btw: 8Star signs bourdais for the rest of the year after Indy in the 4 car if I'm not badly mistaken. Emilio de guida will co-drive with Michael Valiante for the rest of the season with Sarrazin and seabass in the 3 car.

Great for Rubens. He is super smooth.

I bet this switch to Bmw power is because Peter doesn't trust the eco boost turbo engine that will be in the Ford for next year. This is a big picture switch if you ask me.

"Actually he's dating my daughter.."

Say what?

Exactly what I thought when heard that.

Also, did anyone see that old picture of Brad Kettler?

 Still in stitches after seeing it.

So, interesting end to the race.

First thing I must say is that new 4.5 liter BMW from onboard sounds eerily similar to the V8s in the Z4 GTE car (at high revs anyway). Going to be cool hearing that along side DPs in 2014.

Must say, I'm a Ford fan, but the 4.5L Bmw sounded great. Also, even though Starworks won, I was cheering for Rubens more.

I was rooting for Kanaan and Barrichello, Especially when Kanaan was coming through the pack at the start of the race.

Yea tk was another favorite of mine. Joey hand is pretty good too. Now the championship seems like it's going down to Ganassi v Starworks while Starworks has a big lead in the drivers points. I thought A.J. and Yacaman would be hard to beat though.

I imagine they'll finish the 2013 programming. What they do 2014 and beyond, who knows.

If anyone is done arguing in the other thread, there is a race on right now.

So far, good race. Close moment with Yacamen and Fogerty as they split a GX Mazda while battling for position.

Edit: And the Commentators just cracked me up.

Dorsey: "That's the first time I've heard a Gurney talk about a Gurney"

Calvin: "Think that's gonna be two gurney changes on the next stop"
