Sounds good Dax, I will be primed and ready if a spot is open on Sunday morning. 👍

My car colors are Matte Red/White wheels #98

Yep, no reason to practice on a dry track.

Ive only manage to set a 2.25.4 I think I am going to be well of the pace again in this race.

So... are you only going to tell us how many laps we'll be racing at Suzuka just before the race?

#98 is mine unfortunately. You'll have to find another.

It'll be somewhere around 18 laps. 45 minutes divided by 2.4 minutes (2:24 laps) = 18.75 laps.

👍

2:24 laps most likely won't be race laps though. I'd expect to see people only running that fast if they're alone. :P

It doesn't really make much difference what the lap times are. Even with 2:26 laps you'd do 18.5 laps in 45 minutes.

Down to a 2:23.636, dropped a tenth in T1 and a 2 tenths in T2 but I'm happy with that. :) Although I expect the top top people to do low 23s. :ill:

Also gave 100% surface water a try, and let's just say it was.....interesting.....

EDIT: Tyre wear is going to be a big issue. Tyres are only good for for about 4-5 laps before they drop off. :scared:

Fuel will also goes fast here but I am not sure how many laps the race is tomorrow so I will have to do some on the fly calculations during the race.

If an independent wants to join my team for this Suzuka race as a one-off to replace Neljack, I'd appreciate it. :)

I don't think I can make I tomorrow because I've got a kart meeting will make deep forest hopefully

I have a practice room open if anyone wants to join in the next few hours:

Edit: room closed

I've been running some laps in the rain and here are my thoughts:

Rain will definitely make it interesting. 30% surface water makes it slick, but manageable. 50-60% and above basically made it completely impossible to drive on sports hards.

Here's hoping for only light showers for the race.

Room closed?

Edit: guess so. When you guys are done with a room make sure you edit the number out of your post or just put "closed" so those of us that come in after don't think it's still open. 👍

Ran a few laps in the dry = 2:23.781

In the wet, didn't even bother to complete a lap. If we're going to be racing in anything higher than 50%, it won't be a race anymore.

I'd consider it, what's the pay like?

:scared:....
...💡

Hey Carb, you don't want this guy. You want to try someone like James. :sly:

Of the 4 laps I completed in 100% surface water, exactly 0 of them didn't end up in me going off the track.

I went out on my first lap and immediately went off in turn 1. Never spun out but it was so hard to keep it straight and I felt like I wasn't even driving on tires....just straight rims. That's worse than us driving on Comfort Hards in the dry.

The main bit was the aquaplaning under braking (even worse with no ABS, had to turn the BB down to 1-0 ) went off in T1 and Degner 1 mostly + spinning up the rears in 4th gear.

Yeah...let's just say I hope it stays dry. Although I might finish well in the wet, it's not exactly going to be fun. :ill:

Hey dax unfortunately I'm going to have to pull out of the series I just can't get any time on a Sunday for the time being. Sorry.
