Race streams on July 23 (Manufacturers)/24 (Nations). There's also a fantasy "predict the winner" feature which seem to be interesting...

Want to bet on Gallo/BRacer for the fun of it as he lost some pretty critical words about GT7. Are we sure he will be in the races as he "quit"?

Gotta love the payouts of 500k for each and no bonus for guessing both. There should be at least a bonus for guessing both correctly, 500k + 500k + 1.2x bonus for a total of 2.2MM credits.

Decided to do some test with Twitch since I will have Holiday next week and wanted to stream something if possible for funsies :) For the test I decided to record the replays of my victories during the last GTWS and exported to my YT channel :D So I hope you will enjoy them ;)

It’s just too bad that the BoP is absolute trash, the game is no where near ready for competitive racing at that level. This is gonna be a joke. 🤣

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. The Group 4 metas will definitely be super obvious at the very top level.

They use a custom BoP at the live events, so that it doesn’t make PD look bad on live stream. But all the lead up races to the live events use the regular BoP, so all the meta cars have the advantage in the lead up to the live events, it kind of ruins Manu really.

On the fly hotfixing car balance to each individual driver?
They did something like that a while back in the live Nations race that used N500 or N600 cars, they all had custom BoP and custom gearboxes, to even them out better for the WT races yes. Manu I haven’t heard of gearbox changes, buts it’s possible I guess.

I cant really formulate any opinion on this.
On the one hand of course balancing is required at the top levels to give all participants the same chances of success regardless the choice of track where some cars might be better than others for various reasons.
But on the other hand I personally wouldnt like this kind of intervention on a late point of competitions, this almost like preselecting your favourite to be champion by developer manipulations.

Imagine if Genesis wins a race, they will be forced to play the Korean anthem (context: Japan and Korea hate each other)

Not to mention, if they have a better BoP for WT’s, why aren’t we just using it all of the time?

Because they have to chose different cars. Even then it's not that balanced. After every event there are complaints regarding some of the cars. I'm also positive that if they spend enough time, they'd find a Meta but the time is too short and they each only focus on 1 car.

One of the early Manu Finals, Nissan was dominant and had all 3 regional champs on one team..... it's never a guarantee. Pre-race predictions have been tough.

Are the Round 1 and showdown streams pre-recorded or are the players racing at that time? Someone on twitter mentioned them being pre-recorded.

It’s all pre recorded. The results have leaked already, which lead to people voting on the winners to win the 1m credits.

Round 1 is a pre recorded online event, but the Showdown is a live in person event being held in Salzburg, and will be broadcast live.

I don’t know then? Seen some of the top YT streamers and others mention they already know who the winners are etc…

For World Series Round 1 yes. That happened a couple of weeks ago and the winners are known, and is being broadcast today/tomorrow.

The Showdown is happening live next weekend.

"Speaking at a launch event for the Motorsport Games at the French Grand Prix on Saturday, however, the FIA has made clear that the relationship with Gran Turismo is far from over.

Speaking exclusively to Motorsport.com, Frederic Bertrand, the FIA’s director of Formula E and Innovative Sport Activities Department, explained that the governing body had agreed with Gran Turismo chief Kazunori Yamauchi to put things on hold until the GT7 platform was more stable."

Anything that shows PD is aware of the issues and has committed to a partner that it will be improved can be taken as good news I think.

Whether it gets there is another matter but at least it allows some positivity.

Wait, but that could mean we might still see FIA-sanctioned events right? Does it open a door to for instance having Formula E cars and more GT3's in it as well?
